  2. If you only see a few images and nothing more try a different method to extract the file (some other users have the same problem.. and most of them solved with 7zip or newer versions of winrar)
  3. nullFinally upload my "Bataan" livery. Sorry for the bad screenshots, I was having trouble with reshade. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347580/

I like that list, it can be added to your kneeboard and it has the common and important ones. You'll find there are a lot more, but they are rarely used in DCS. Also, do feel free to ask if you come across something more obscure!
  5. Oh dude! I feel for you! But on the bright side, at least you know now! Go forth and enjoy what MP has to offer! This is where I feel the smaller / tighter communities help. I have a few mods and haven't had a problem with IC check. But I do avoid the spammy/popular spammy servers. and my focus is more on PvE (or PvpvE (small p - where it's controlled better). But I have realised since creating this thread that there's MP, and there's MP - a huge different variety and it was a bad idea to just call it "MP" with so many different options now.
  6. Thank you, that sort of matches my experience. I seem to recall reading somewhere that there also was an infrared system associated with it, but at least to me it remained unclear whether there is an actual IR-guided variant, or if the SACLOS guidance system just has an optional IR camera.
  7. Möchte an dieser Stelle nur den Hinweis platzieren, dass es schon vorgefertigte beacons.lua-Dateien zum Herunterladen auf dem Forum hier und auf der DCS-Webseite gibt (seit etwa 6-7 Jahren).
  8. Thanks a lot for the additions to the Russia package - love the new Cold War armored vehicles @currenthill!

  12. The AN/ALR-56, as mentioned above, is a passive receiver, meaning it doesn't transmit. And of course, it has a range, or rather, a reception sensitivity like any other radio receiver. In fact, its philosophy for determining whether a threat is more or less important/higher priority is based on that, the level of signal received apart of other factors like intelligence databases, types, priorities, etc.
  13. For someone who represents officially/unofficially posting for Eagle Dynamics on their unofficial road map, I would expect a little more research on your behalf before making a comment such as the above. You may not work for or officially post FOR ED, but that is how it is perceived on the first few pages of the ED road map forum. Saying something like you did above could be perceived by someone with less experience than myself as accurate. You are of course very false in your assumption. The reason I posted the question was because Chinooks absolutely carried M113's and Vulcans during the Vietnam war from one place to another. I want to implement this same function into a mission I am building for the boys. It is very realistic/authentic and would have taken you googling CH-47 Sling Loading M113 to find photos of it. The Chinook carries a wide variety of vehicles you are probably unaware of and could be utilized to carry numerous things in DCS other than just artillery and jeeps.
  14. Why cant the make it easier to install , for example in settings...Ive never got into creating or modifying <profanity>,,,I plug and play...
  15. Today
  16. Had I been into DCS back then, I'd have bought one in a heartbeat. As is, within a month of me deciding I wanted one, they discontinued 'em. Now, mere interest is all we have until they're made available again, or they do something better. Can't commit to something that doesn't exist... although a company like this might be able to pull off non-refundable pre-order deposits, say £40, to properly gauge interest. Better than outright pre-orders that can be cancelled, or crowdfunding that can be refunded - People put their money where their mouth is, and WW get a modicum of security if those ordering try to wig out.
  17. The military apron at Frankfurt is kludged. Instead of a central taxi spine and nose in parking, it should be drive through parking, wide enough to handle 3x C-17A's. This would require the map dev to add new exits/entrances to access the apron.
  18. Reading this article from 2022, the interview noted that the F-4U would eventually receive the AN/ASG-10 toss bombing computer during early access. I don't expect it to show up soon, but it'll be interesting to see it when it arrives. Wondering how it's coming along!

  19. Hi Hoss, i recently bought the smallest offset adapter extension for my AV, improves quite a bit, but i wonder what 'fly by wire' is ...
  20. Ho guys , i have downloaded files from the link at the first page , but in the rar file there are only image files ...where is the mod?
  21. Disagree. It always had same chaff resistance as AIM-7M when we look at at LUA
  22. According to the RL flight manual, when the compressor inlet temperature (T2) falls below +45°C, the maximum engine rpm is limited to prevent excessive mass airflow through the engine. The rpm maximum speed reduction starts at +45°C and is reduced until, at -54°C, the maximum rpm is approximately 90 percent. The engine also incorporates an exhaust gas temperature (T5) reset during military and full afterburner operation. This T5 reset occurs at the same point as T2 cutback, and reduces EGT at the same time that T2 cutback is reducing rpm. As can be seen in the attached track, even at a T2 of -40°C, maximum engine rpm remains 100% and I could find no evidence of T5 reset. I do not believe these effects are intended to be modelled (though I cannot be sure) so I'll leave this here as a low-priority feature to be implemented in the future. no_t2_cutback.trk
  23. yes the fires are not affecting performance at all the fires i used were done thru the failures tab in mission editor fire extenguishers didn't seem to do much too
  24. Hi. You said that DCS has its own voice chat system. Where can I locate this chat system?
  25. According to RL flight manual, a utility hydraulic system or double generator failure renders the variable bypass bellmouth and auxiliary air doors inoperative. Operation of an engine with an open variable bypass bellmouth and closed auxiliary air doors will allow engine compartment secondary air to recirculate to the engine inlet. During low altitude or ground operation, the temperature of the recirculating air may be high enough to initiate T2 reset. As seen in the attached track on the EFB engine page, switching off both generators after a hot spawn with the corresponding closure of the auxiliary air doors does not cause T2 to increase (T2 remained at OAT = 50°C for 3 minutes, I did not continue the test afterwards), and therefore T2 reset does not occur. Even though the game manual does not mention T2 reset/auto-acceleration as a possible malfunction, I was expecting auto-acceleration due to malfunctioning auxiliary air doors to be implemented since T2 reset due to high-speed flight seems to be accurately modelled. If auto-acceleration is intended to be modelled I recommend to check for a bug here; if it is not intended to be modelled, consideration should be given to model the effect as a low-priority item. no_auto_acceleration.trk
