PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Cytarabine replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
A bit of a late reply, but I have both the Quest Pro and the PSVR2. The Quest Pro still has the better edge to edge clarity (those lenses are something else) but in basically every other way the PSVR2 is better for DCS. While I have to suspect the high end headsets will be better from a value standpoint in DCS having a wired headset with OLED panels and eye tracking support for the price is incredibly good. -
Just for fun, I ran my TRK file thru Tacview. At the start (full fuel and 2 AAMs), I was sustaining about 16°/sec turn rate. As fuel weight decreased, the turn rate slowly increased. By around 1000kg fuel remaining, I was up to 19°/sec. With 500 kg remaining, it hit 20°.

I would imagine there will be an option to turn it off.

The Encyclopedia in DCS says Mach 4.5, but the best i've got is Mach 3.99. I've tried all the AIM-54 variants in different profiles. I'l try some more, but i doubt i'll get past Mach 4

It's more like something constantly scanning the pilot's head area. Even if it detects a signal from the lowered helmet-mounted sight, it continues to work. However, this can be quite annoying for the DCS user.

no, it like the tracker for a vr headset if you have one, it keep spinning.

In case of trouble with Pico Connect after messing up with OpenXR runtimes, go to SteamVR settings and (re)set SteamVR as OpenXR runtime. See second image in first post. You will be back to the default setup. Another potential cause of trouble could be some of the active OpenXR API layers. You can selectively activate/disable these from the SteamVR settings to find which one might be the culprit.

Correct. I've also noticed some strange behavior here. Behind the glass, there are elements that constantly rotate. It creates the impression of small screens that constantly pulsate with reflections. I'm afraid this could be very annoying while flying. Interestingly, we have the same sight in the Ka-50, for example, and nothing rotates there, even though the system is the same.

Thank you. I will try without DLSS. I’m using Tally Mouse’s DCS Ultimate Settings Guide. I suppose those aren’t the right options for me.

its kind of ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed yet.

Hi, I am currently using Trackir when playing DCS. However, with the up coming release of the C-130J, I think it may be better when not tactical flying to just use mouse for navigating the big cockpit. Is there a way like in MSFS to toggle mouse look while holding middle mouse button and regain switch clicking mode when releasing the button ? It would be very convenient when not using Trackir. Best regards, Pierre

Posting in english for visibility but priority given to local pickup. Shipping isn't impossible but will have to be checked with the buyer and certainly limited to EU countries. So, here it is. I am selling my Monstertech MFC chair with various accessories which I list below. - MFC-5 Night Falcon seat, Cordura lining; rotation locking system and wheels with brake; - HOTAS Chair Mount right and left with quick release swivel adapters with two plates compatible with Virpil devices (Control Panel and Throttle); - HOTAS Chair Mount for joystick in central position; - Bass shaker plate. Everything has been kept with care, and it's complete with alternative aluminum profiles and connectors (plenty of bolts etc. plus the cables included with the Bass Shaker plate). Naturally, for more details it is best to search directly on the Monstertech EU website. Local pickup in Belluno, Italy. I purchased everything between mid 2022 and end 2024, the seat is in excellent condition, (it has only slightly taken the shape of my bottom). For everything else we know that these are practically indestructible objects. Asking price: 1300 Euros, negotiable.

I flew 10 traps plus 1 go round and 1 bolter, in a row, 45 mins total. Engine stopped while setting up next T/O. No.11. Paying particular attention to temps, oil stays in the blue at half open and dosn't need to be touched. Cowl flaps need constant adjustment, (wonder why it's not auto), and mostly wants to go cold. Red line is instant death. Don't close cowl completely. Oil press gauge is always low, red line low, or zero at idle. Fuel press OK. 40 gal left. Res selected. Why did it stop, who knows? Lost the hook on no.9 landing, but it still worked for no.10 ..

So, they stop spinning at the moment they capture the helmet?

Additional Training Missions for the Viggen - Nevada Edition
Stulee replied to Rudel_chw's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Hello, I have some issues with missions M06 (Pre-planned Navigation) and M07 (Visual Landing and Aircraft Shutdown). Generally, after ATC radio contact, I receive radio clearance from tower (M06- taxi to runway; M07 – inbound) but after that nobody tell me what to do. This is completely different situation than on Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V58YPQMjM6M&t=859s&ab_channel=rudelchw and M07 video) where the dialogs are going on further. I removed the training mission files many times and copy them again, but all the time with the same results. I repaired DCS as well. Could you help me to find the solution of this problem? nö, muss er nicht.

With Vulkan and other updates to the DCS engine who knows. -
Work is apparently underway, but we won't see a roadmap. I would like to, of course, yes.
