The questions that arise are solely the following: 1. Do the displays in the HUD actually work differently? If so: 2. Why should there be a different mode of operation depending on the orientation (vertical or horizontal)? I would like to have these questions answered, because these are the questions that are really important! What is the logic behind the RADAR alignment indicator being displayed in horizontal alignment with the nose of the aircraft, while the vertical alignment is displayed level with the altitude? What could be the reason for this? If the RADAR antenna indicator is actually supposed to show the alignment of the antenna with the object, the current vertical display would of course be incorrect. It doesn't make sense for that reason alone, as the pilot needs to be able to see when the RADAR will lose contact due to the angle to the object. This is currently not possible vertically. So what is the purpose of this cursor? If the answer is: “To be able to recognize in time when the tracked object will leave the maximum gimbal range!”, then the current display in the vertical range is >>incorrect<<! To recognize this, all it takes is simple logic, and nothing else!

Do we need to add a new entry for the new full fidelity Mig-29?
-
It'd all be cool but we don't even have currently proper VR support for CA.
-
Put this please into the bug section . That’s clearly a bug

Love that probe - and livery. Dad was flying these in the 80s. I hope we get a functioning probe at some point, knowing the USAF version was boom capable instead.

Hybrid Voice Interaction: Local STT/TTS with LLM Integration
MAXsenna replied to twistking's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I really hope the first part of your post is where we're going! To my knowledge BeyondATC runs locally, and is pretty much a "free flow", though you can't crack jokes with it. Cheers! -
He never mentioned "balance", he specifically wrote consistency, and in this context it means that it should be on the same level of "reality" across all the modules. You are of course correct about the documentation. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Dual factor authentication for free trials?
Madman1 replied to Beirut's topic in Forum and Site Issues
I do not want to use any Google app. I do not trust them to keep my phone number private. They routinely collect and sell personal data so their 2FA app can get stuffed. Please give us an alternative. -
cannot reproduce AFCS failure on cold start
TheTaker replied to Major Corvus's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I think I tracked down the issue and the reason is stick curves setting. I had them around 8-15. With curves set to 0 on both axes damper passes the test every time. Which is bad, because I want to use them, now I need to reset everytime. -
correct as-is Using the cannon with the central external fuel tank?
lj0076 replied to lj0076's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
I tried and with the tank suspended I can use the cannon normally. Should it be automatically blocked or does the pilot just have to be careful and not use it? Can you please direct me to the page number of the manual? Thank you -
Hi, I've had a problem since the last update. I load the game normally (it takes a long time to load). Once loaded, I go to the mission editor to adjust my mission and on the map screen it stutters. I make the adjustments and go to the mission. In the cockpit, the stutters continue, and when I turn a wheel on a controller, I can't do it like before. It turns very little by little. I get desperate and exit the mission and the game. I reload it and do the same thing, but now the stuttering problems are gone, everything runs smoothly. This has been happening to me since the last update; before, everything was fine. Greetings and thanks.

Weapons is ED's responsibility. So, if ED makes ultra realistic RWR for MiG-29, they still could update it for other aircraft. Same for mentioned AIM-7 failures.

We have 10%, 100%, Flash, OFF - a command to cycle them would be appreciated.

Pappy2 started following Wheel chocks at the start of a mission
-
Hello, Can you ensure that at the start of a mission, whether the engine is black and cold or already running, the wheel chocks are in place? For example, when starting a mission on the Essex's deck, the F4U-1D rolls back on its own due to the wind on the deck! If the wheel chocks were in place, the ground crew would avoid having to jump to chock the Corsair. Thank you in advance and thank you again for your beautiful Corsair.

The visor isn't the only thing that is aligned to the right eye only in VR. The same shift is visible on those helmet scope sensors. Just information for the ED team, if they see it and want to look into it someday.

Remind me. What where the actual physical limits of the radars gimbal?
-
This isn't about "balance," it's about reality. If you can't build something because there's no documentation (since much of that information is classified), then good luck trying to invent its functionality on your own (it's like trying to add both elctronic offensive and defensive capabilities to a ship)...

I went with 100ish FOV but now the problem is the axis where the head camera is centered is now like 5cm in front of the HUD, so when you turn your head backwards you are looking at the eject lever right below you;) This is now it looks like now when I look at the right back panel I think they need to update this FOV.

I have the exact same issue and posted on Winwings FB with no response.

Hello, In DCS, the only way to have a big swell and a choppy aircraft carrier is to add wind; I'd like to take off and land on the Essex, which is pitching and rolling. But I noticed that with at least 60 knots of wind on the Essex's deck, with my F4U-1D parked with the engine running, my Corsair explodes during mission launch. (Wings torn off?); the other aircraft (AI) on the deck have no problem. With less than 60 knots of wind on the Essex's deck, there's no problem during mission launch; my Corsair survives. I wanted to point this out; I don't know if it has anything to do with the collision model when it spawns at the start of the mission, or if it's a bug. Thanks again to the whole team for your wonderful work.

Having the same problem. Setting up a mission where I am leading a flight of F4Us and I'm the only one attacking the targets. Doesn't seem to matter if Group Attack is selected or not. Nor if planes are instructed to ignore AI cautions (this has become very confusing with a double negative in the setting). Even if I repeatedly command my flight to attack, they sound as though they are attacking but they don't. Makes mission editing impossible for multiple AI wingmen.
