Maybe I updated my thoughts regarding the sounds on another thread, but obviously not this one. Current sounds seem to be much better on the whole, and more environmentally immersive given the blade slap sounds. It’s really hard to hear any differences to Mi-8 videos online during startup or flying operations. I’m not sure if the sounds remain WIP, but after getting used to the differences compared to the previous sounds (which I also liked a lot), I think the current sounds are excellent. Again, I was perfectly happy with the previous sounds, but the new sounds seem more accurate and broader. After listening to several vids, I think even the apu sounds are accurate (if a little quiet).

The new TU-95MS from CH is great and a win for the core game., but I would like to see more weapon options. I'm missing free-fall bombs or older cruise missiles like the AS-4 ‘Kitchen’ so that the TU-95MS can also be used in Cold War scenarios. Could there be something coming in the future?

In general, if a game supports DLSS you should use that.. it should be better than upscaling with FSR or NIS, but you can check it out and see which you prefer. You can still apply sharpening though. If a game does not support DLSS then FSR or NIS is the only option.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Tomcat388th replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm going to ask a stupid question does it work on DCS stand alone or is this strictly for Steam. Thanks J -
Interesting. I thought they were just gonna release basic US and basic "insurgent" models. But that is very cool that they plan on releasing several factions at once.

check dtc procedures CMDS_ALE47.lua not Respected
rob10 replied to ExNusquam's topic in Bugs and Problems
Go to my post above and it will point you to the file you need to edit that loads as default DTC now. You still need to load it in the plane system (in the F-18 anyway), but you won't have to load the file each time. -
Have lived in Karachi, and had the opportunity to see a little of North Pakistan. Spectacular! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

The Green Bird started following Randomized weapons failures
-
After seeing a lot of footage and testimonials of veteran pilots I've noticed that the missiles in the DCS world in general were too accurate. That's probably because it's a flight sim that people launch after work or school to have a moment in their day to rest and put their problems aside. But I think that the idea of giving the ability to third-party devs to add a random failure on their bombs (guided or not) or missiles could be great. From all of those documentaries I saw about Phantom pilots cussing on their early Sparrows because every time they broke the lock or just didn't fire after launch. The same thing happened during Desert Storm during the Samurra Air Battle when 4 Sparrows misfired or simply didn't launch. It would be great to add an option in the menu to activate this feature. And as for the randomized failures probabilities, maybe checking the hit rates of each missile and putting a factor of successful hit between 0 and 1 on them could do the job.

I think he was referring to the in-game chat that multiplayer has. You can open it and scroll through the messages and close it pretty easily.

I like the missions idea minus the narration parts. -
I spend Today's morning to stitch just that between PG and AFG maps. It works flawlessly and I'm waiting for a discount for Syria map so I'll stitch a flight from Incirlik to Kandahar just to prove a point how possible it is I'm begging you to share how did you managed to place a naval asset on land? I confess that I tried on Caucasus map and it even didn't allowed to place a ship if the water was too shallow for the size

Aligning AB detent and Throttle Calibration (How to)
352ndOscar replied to MustangSally's topic in Winwing
I couldn’t find this anywhere and it’s not AB detent specific, but for the A-10CII, the throttle off/idle detents can be set and used with the Orion2 finger lifts using these key mappings. Should help those that don’t know. -
The very first thing I tried after I bought the map was to check it in winter. Didn't knew that there are no textures yet so I start to explore it assuming that there is only snow in the Himalaya ridge. Found very beautiful places, in my opinion better that those showed through different Quick missions.

CyberCopter started following Mozdok Caucasus PRMG Glideslope INOP
-
The Mozdok airport PRMG Glideslope is inoperative. I tested it in the L-39C in DCS 2.9. The PRMG Glideslope works perfectly at Krymsk in the same aircraft, same mission file. At Krymsk the proper Navaid configuration is observed, a shared RSBN channel but a discreet PRMG channel for each runway direction. At Mozdok the RSBN channel is 20 but the PRMG channel 22 is used for BOTH runway headings. Either the airport should have a single runway assigned to channel 22, or a second PRMG channel should be added for the reciprocal runway. As it stands no successful instrument approach requiring Glideslope is possible in either direction.

Thank you for this. It has made learning the Corsair fun. Just wondering since the last update 8/13 if anyone else is having the engine stop during the training flights. I read on the forum about the engine stopping with the addition of the master switch for the water injection but don't think its related to this. Keeping needles in the green and following checklist I wonder if theirs something I Am missing or is it a bug?
