  1. Past hour
  2. It’s a flight simulator. The liveries are just about the chief artwork in the game.
  3. Hi, I'm working on a full ILS usable beacons.lua file. As far as I could see, there was an issue with frankfurt main runway ILS issues, solved thanks @drPhibes, I could make Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, and Berlin "secondary" runways usable, and corrected Hamburg Finkenwerder ILS issue, as the glideslope and the localizer where mixed. So If you noticed some bugs or inaccuracies on some ILS airfields, just let me know, so I can make an edited lua file , with all corrections that I could make. The file will be shared on the user files, with kneeboard files so you can choose the runway You want to land, and have the ILS informations for them. I edited also the Hahn frequencies to 111.30 for the runway 21, and 109.30 for the runway 03. Those are virtual frequencies, as at this time, I didin't found any information about the cold war period for the ILS fresuencies. I will share my work with the help of @drPhibes ASAP and keep it up to date ASAP as every update will change the original file. I saw that the devs has taken in account a lot modifications I've made, so I have a great hope of an original file that will be 100% functional over the time.
  4. I'm so glad that I don't have to purchase them, I get to employ them for free on my own missions as either enemy or allied AI aircrafts and assets.
  5. Dang...sorry to hear this for many reasons. I'm expecting my Ultrawide sometime next month...unclear if it will suffer the same fate. Hang in there!
  6. Sorry I never kept one for that as I didn't expect someone to report it. I'll keep it in mind if it repeats.
  7. I always wonder what was the story of that abandoned airfield?
  8. It's already implemented. What's the problem? You don't know how your airfield looks like? How did you get there in the first place?
  9. Hello, I would like to ask about two specific Airfields in PG map. The one I noticed on SAT picturnulle of the map - Zahedan The other one is 'no name' and I wonder what are the plans with it - info in the screenshot However Zahedan airport I noticed first on Afghanistan map and transferred the beacon info to PG which make me wonder 'How can I create Airports/AFB on a map"?null
  10. Yeah, I basically just use paper and pencil and the F10 map, and hand calculate everything. The only thing that is really missing as far as in-game tools and data goes is fuel planning. (I haven't looked into the available IRL manuals to see if there are tables in there or not.)
  11. I think it works. Iirc there's a 3 way for the color and a turning knob for the brightness. At least it worked when I last tried it out before the update.
  12. I'm just playing mission 2 and I got error cannot open speed and angels 02b_parade.miz two times in a row. even after repair

  14. Yeah, I think that you need a Quest 3 or newer to make it worthwhile.
  15. @Pikey Question: will original triggers work in the saved game if not triggered in the original mission? Fyi - I tested to see if the un-triggered, triggers worked in the saved game & the do.
  16. You were right what threads would be in here, if bombs would not explode.
  17. It is not about Steam, although I'm using it for the Xbox controller - Thank you Tuuvas. Core files you say? So you need, I need to download 11 GB of Liveries for F-4 module I don't own, why? Never tried and even don't know how it looks, or the 14GB of Liveries from F-14 which I'll never use. Lets address the tens of Liveries for Mig-21 just because is a popular jet around the world or the tens of modifications for Mirage F1 and is even not a EagleD module. We still keep gigabytes of stuff from Razbam - M2000 and F-15E. Great some people still use it but why do I need it - there is a F-15E S4+ in the assets - works perfect for the purpose. Long story short I cleared - 110GB with unnecessary Liveries - every module left with one-two Liveries so it goes fallback when needed with the one I left that which saved thousands of files from SSD which are prone for failure just because you use them, another 4GB from Bazar's Liveries - could make more but starting from 10.4GB didn't worth my time. Now just for a moment try to guess after I saved so much space, would the updater.exe recover those files with the next update or just because is setup like that or it is required for the Core? Just recently I haven't own F-16 but is a core modulenull so I must update those files? "The ones you need to have them in your mission as in; textures, meshes, sounds and weapons" - is called 'optimization'. Thank you for you time but is not about few gigs of storage is a hundreds of gigabytes of bandwidth every single update! In matter of fact the CoreModules are not the one you bought/own they are just...there, despite the ownership
  18. This theme of removing liveries to accomodate people with smaller storage cames up every few months, and its not laziness but rather I find that any such scheme will not really eliminate the cause of the problem, as a few extra GB will not solve much if your drive is too small. On my DCS the biggest use of space come from the Maps, not CoreMods: almost 1/3 storage space is used by my maps, 1/4 is on CoreMods, 1/5 on aircraft Modules. Even if all coremod liveries were removed, I would only recover around 1/6 of the space ... so, I don't find the effort truly worthwhile.
  19. We would need a trk.
  20. After further investigation I found that the real reason for the shuttering is actually Petrovich searching for targets. The search function must be pegging one core excessively with so many units. The only solution would be ED optimizing Petro.
  21. Thanks. I’ll have a look this week end.
  22. Today
  23. Post a track file and someone will help. I enjoy a little investigation myself
  24. @Homer79As I've said, in your track the first bomb detonation detonates the others as they were too close, meaning only the first bomb reached the ground and the rest exploded in the air. If you yourself see in the F6 view, you will see that the bombs during their flight time did have spacing, but were ultimately destroyed when the first bomb hit the ground. That is why for this kind of an attack profile, high drag bomb is required. If you wanna do ripple with low drag bombs, then you need to climb high and aim to hit "a postal code" rather than a runway.
  25. @vakarian: thanks for the answer but if you look at the bomb craters, you can see that there was no spacing. The same picture also emerges with loft attacks, and that's precisely where you should see a clear stick from the bombs. In addition, I've flown this type of attack before, and the impact spacing was always roughly appropriate to the ripple settings.
  26. I thought ED already announced the DC was a single player experience - period. That it was never intended for MP and would never support a co-op MP experience. Am I remembering this incorrectly?
  27. No worries Rudel. I think it all goes back to me not having the RPM's high enough because I was misreading the RPM gauge. All good!! Still trying to forget the old habits of the K4 and D9 Thank you
