  2. The CDU is a beast, even veteran pilots have issues at times. I've had many pilots during launch radio their wingman with questions. I put a short guide together for creating a new flight plan using GPS coordinates. I uploaded it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1098811&postcount=6 Hopefully it will help someone out, i know I could have used it :)

  3. Неужели просто так летать не хочеться? Каждый пытаеться что-то подкрутить, подправить и т.д. Из-за этого и кучу файлов на проверку ставят! У мну игра вообще без модов стоит, и ничего работает. Учитесь уходить от ракет и всё будет в порядке, кто знает такие противоракетные маневры как "кадушка", "удав" и т.д. плюс дальность пуска ракет в ЛО, хватит этого для 80% ухода от ракет.

  5. Just on top of my head - perhaps you need to include the new WP in a flight plan. What I do - second flight plan which holds all new waypoints of interest. Depending of my needs I switch between the new and old one. You can also add the new WP to the old FP. Then it should appear on the TAD.

  7. TARS is a plugin which will allow you to integrate DCS: A-10 with Teamspeak 3. The concept is simple: No channel switching in Teamspeak to ruin immersion. Rather, multiplayer communication ought to be accomplished by setting the radio in the plane to an agreed upon frequency and using that. You have radios in the game, so why not be able to extend that level of immersion to the multiplayer environment using Teamspeak? If other Teamspeak users are on that radio channel and they're in the same Teamspeak 3 channel as you, they will be able to communicate with you over any of the radios in your aircraft. If you die and/or go to spectator mode, you will automatically be placed into a parallel “virtual channel” where you can communicate with your fellow spectators without having to switch channels in Teamspeak. We hope to release a beta for testing in early 2011. Since we are in a very early phase of development now, the TARS team's current goal is to gather input from the community at this stage, just in case there's a gem of a feature that heavy-MP users need that we can try to implement in the first phase of the project. Planned features include: Automatic control of your radio communications based on what channel you're tuned to and whether or not your radios are on. If you are on a given channel that other players are on, you'll be able to communicate with them without having to worry if you're in the correct Teamspeak channel. Dead/Spectator enforcement. If you get killed in-game, you will be sent into a spectator mode where you'll be able to communicate with other players who are dead and/or spectating. Radio effective range enforcement. VFM FM radio, for instance, has a limited broadcast range when compared to its AM counterpart. This ought to reflect in gameplay. TARS is planned around a client based architecture, with no need to install extra software or otherwise modify the Teamspeak 3 server where you play. Planned future integration with Black Shark once A-10 integration is complete. If possible (and as a secondary objective), we'll be adding radio filter effects based on things like distance and radio type, for a more immersive gaming experience. There are plenty of additional goodies that may become possible in the future. However the above are the main gameplay-enhancing goals. The purpose of this announcement is to engage the participation of the community early in the development cycle so that we can be as responsive as possible to your needs. When it comes time for beta testing, we plan to fully engage the participation of the community.   14. X-plane always provided a love/hate relationship for me. Flightmodel is very nice, as is the performance. However the cockpits, even those of most paid addons, are horrible. It's great for the flying experience, not so much for the technical, procedural experience; would be my very short version.

Приглашаю всех в кинозал: Документальный фильм о жизни и службе летчиков, их обслуги и моряков на легендарном авианосце США "Carl Vinson" с русским языковым сопровождением (245мб) http://narod.ru/disk/5176019001/film_%D0%A1Vinson.zip.html Посмотрев этот фильм, решил напечатать пару строк. Сделать новую игру как комплекс "Карл Винсон". 1. модель авианосца более подробную с структурой и бегающими неграми перед самолетом:) и другой анимированой обслугой. тягачи и прочее. с озвучкой. для возможности заднего хода при выруливании. лифты. стоянки внутри и снаружи. 2. доработать навигацию и ее озвучку. Чтоб в тумане по АРК найти можно было. 3. внешняя модель Ф18 в ЛО имеет больше всего полигонов, т.е. готовая. 4. решить вопрос с анимацией катапульты и симуляции мгновенного разгона 5. оружие вроде под него есть. 6. интересен многофункциональностью. вклучая войну с пво и кораблями 6.1 кабиной ЕД не напугаешь с 4 дисплеями. 7. комплекс можно будет внедрять и на других реал картах ТВД, наприм. Бл.Восток, Аляска, Тихий океан (надеюсь на появление в будущем) и использовать в связке с наземными А10 и Апачем или Акулой и Су25Т 8.экономически целесобразен для получения забугорной прибыли от продажи. Наши тоже не откажутся полетать на этом многофунциональном истребителе. Может обратиться напрямую к ним. Может и бабла подбросят. Всетаки реклама и политика для всего мира, да приятно им будет что о них игра. Консультации их не помешают. Да и новая игра получится по виду и возможностям. Наработки которых позволят и наземные аэродромы сделать реальными а не неживыми как сейчас. 9. Новые ощущения среды и модель для любителей, которой еще не было. Морские пейзажи с новой водой. 10. Купить дизайнерам нормальные мониторы(не засвеченные, или правильно настроить по черному цвету.), чтоб текстуры земли не были темными в 12 дня на юге летом. Ребята, а "делать" в 4 раз Су25-й , я повешаюсь просто от тоски. Су25Т вполне достаточен, разве сделать аналог Су39 для авиакрейсера "АФКузнецов". Либо того грузить в миссиях либо этого. Тем более две ручки покрутить можно по оружию. Динамика тоже не слабая. Для Су39 и навигацию для "АФКузи"чтоб в тумане по АРК найти можно было. После К Винсона можно и Су27(33) сделать. У него поскромней оружие, чем эабугорные 120-ки, которые покоя не дают некоторым уже 7 лет. Будет интересен СНГ и странам его имеющем на вооружении. И как перехват тех же Ф18. А Ф15 сложнее думаю сделать. Да и по пилотажу и красоте он проигрывает Су 27. Пулять 120 с ДВБ друг в друга надоест быстро. Да и интригу в игре нужно сохранить. Но тоже не чистый, а с системой наведения как в реале. Тоже с настоящей навигацией и хорошим радиобменом. Потом Апач им сделать. чтоб не плакали. Редактор освежить. Навигацию ввести, а то ручками хлопотно АРК вставлять. Тригеров добавить, что проще было выводить нужное действие. 2 полетных умных карты обязательно для разных сторон с отцеплением от внешвидов. Погоду динамически меняющуюся(по умолчанию и по заказу от времени, либо местанахождения) А вот если после релиза А10 пойдет гон под новое ЛО3, это будет перебор... Не тратьте время зря. Проиграете. Знаю что нужны данные и прочее. Но это ваше ремесло ребята! Думаю кто то что то найдет на просторах сети пришлет вам. Из форума уж многим очень круто и не нужно, вспоминаю как на меня налетели за просьбу отменить читзаводку в ЧА. Это моя хотелка. Если задел чьи то нежные места -извиняйте.

  23. You have to manually delete the sounds or try to use my sound mod first. It's already listed in the BoB 2 mods directory http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12021&start=45 The flyby sounds files are usually named flb* If you're sure about that (I am not) then you can simply choose not to use it. I'm glad you like it :) If you sometimes feel like using external views better use F10 view (press once or twice). The default external view (and fly-by view too) is quirky when doing meneuvers and I personally hate it. Hundreds is not necessarily an exaggeration in BoB 2 WoV ;) I also recall that when RAF (my side) started to loose the war and massive fighter and bomber raids were a usual occurence over my home airfield in southern England I felt during take offs like I was just about to hit a ceiling of 109's if I'll climb too steep. I had to keep my eyes around my head as you'd never know when a pack of 109's would choose to zoom upon me using huge altitude and position advantage (AI takes sun position into account). My only hope was that AI in BoB 2 does NOT see through aircraft fuselage, engine cowling, wings and some clouds... Damn, why would someone launch a decade old game without installing the latest cumulative update?! :P

  24. Went back and flew some more. Even thought I didnt get any credit on that mission, it went to the second mission. In that second mission I contacted JTAC got the info and went in for some kills. I fired off two mavs, both hit, but I got in too deep and took a SAM up the tailpipe and had to eject. Has something like a 20 score got credit for the kills. On the third campaign mission I started up the AC and got ready to taxi out of the hangar, and because the taxiway out of the hangar is too damn narrow one of my wheels got stuck in the mud. I gunned the engine, it broke loose and almost crashed into the hangar ahead of me. Couldn't turn around so I quit. Got the same mission again and was able to get off the ground. At the IP I got targets from JTAC. Target was AA, told 3-4 to anchor and then let the wingman loose at my SPI (I had a hard time trying to tell armor from AA and let him have a go). He took out one, and told him to rejoin. As I ready to start my run, JTAC told me to abort. Then told me he had new tasking, and then immediately told me to abort again and that there were no more targets and to go home. There was no use to leave Mavs on the rack when there were still armor and personnel carriers in the area so I went in and shacked 4 with my mavs and I unleashed my wingie to get targets of opportunity. Told 3 and 4 to do the same. They expended their ordinance, and unfortunately #3 didn't make it back..Told them all to rejoin and headed back to base. Landed, found a spot on the tarmack next to a C-130 and quit. Score = 0. Debrief showed all 4 of my A/G kills Got no credit for them on the campaign screen Got no credit for them in my logbook. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Should I wait for the rest of my flight to land before I quit?

  26. Hi, I also tried that mission, the JTAC didn't answer my calls (and yes I have tuned the correct radio). So I decided to go for some tanks on my own and got my 6 kills but there are too many targets for just 2 A-10s, bombs are a no go because of the low ceiling and the AAA cover even JDAMs are useless against the moving targets.... My wingman ejected and I returned to base, no mission success. You should try the shore campaign, even if the missions are long, they are very well made and interesting to fly. So far i got to mission 6.

  28. How about we just let these people believe that they are beta testers and the only reason this sim will be fantastic is because of their wonderful beta testing procedures and reports. In the end we will all praise them and their efforts even though we all know that 99% of us have not submitted a thing that was worth a crap to ED because it was already known/found by the internal testers or it was known issue prior to internal testing. Boys....lets get over ourselves and just fly the sim and help eachother out where we can....ED will have the rest covered.

  30. We're playing with a couple of ideas to see what we like best. This actually got done on the first beta with LED control, and there was an update to the software 2 days later that changed a few things. In short, obviously we (VTB) don't worry about a lot of combat related switchology...the Warthog profile essentially similar to the Cougar profile we've had up on the site for ages. The current implementation has: Left ENG OPER switch pulled back shuts off all LEDs on the throttle. In the NORM position it turns them on. When pushed forward, it indicates whether the flaps, pinky, speedbrake and boat switches are all centered - separate LED for each, and there's a spare but I have an idea on that as well. Not all of the switches are easy to tell if they're in the right position without moving them around, so we thought we might try a quick "push to test" system. The right ENG OPER switch pulled back shuts off the MFD LEDs. Pushed forward it's an "all or nothing" test - similar to the left switch, but you either get 5 greens or no greens. LawnDart and I were going back and forth on which way to code it...so since we had 2 similar switches, I coded both to play with. Heh. This is somewhat inspired by the "push to test" function for testing cockpit lights and such in real aircraft. For us it verifies the profile is running and makes sure the smoke (dogfight), brake, etc. are set properly so nobody has to swear about an improperly set switch once the sortie starts. :D If by "program them without messing up plug and play" you mean the ability to use them without TARGET in DCSA-10...then no. You need to use TARGET to control LEDs. However...for those who want to be able to shut off the LEDs without yanking cords out...you'll be able to run the TARGET GUI and just switch the LEDs on/off manually.

Плюс к этому руки будут загораживать часть панелей, и эти самые руки одной силой мысли убрать с пути не удастся :D

  33. Yes, as Bob says it is the same SPO-15 in the MiG-29, Su-27/33 and Su-25. The difference is what a radar strength will display as on the RWR. A stronger radar will light up more yet be further away. A weaker radar will light up less yet be closer.

  34. Да, наличие реальной модели повреждений и модели взрывных эффектов - это мечта, но боюсь что сим тогда запустится только через лет десять!))) Мне очень понравилась модель повреждений в моде ACE для ARMA2, где поражающий эффект рассчитывается от точки попадания и не всегда оканчивается взрывом бронетехники. Для полного удовлетворения еще бы модель поведения ракет и снарядов с приближенной к реальности, и тогда выпуск симулятора придется ждать очень долго, а на компьютер придется работать годами, да и информации для каждой УР думаю немного.

  41. Hi StrongHarm, Hehehe...raising the gun issue in America is like waving a red flag while standing between two bulls. You're going to get charged from both directions! Asparagins comment was spot on. In Australia gun ownership is about 5% (occupational and sporting), but the issue is framed as a societal one rather than as a personal rights issue, and nobody really cares. If you look at the worldwide pattern of private gun ownership, I doubt there is a strong correlation with freedom. Australia is almost identical to the U.S. in culture, wealth and political status and yet we are diametrically opposed on gun ownership. This points to the historical accident of the phrase "right to bear arms", rather than a intrinsic rights issue. Just think of the phrase "right to take heroine" and you can see what I mean. Australia has traditionally had more political freedom than the U.S., and many Western European nations effectively have more free speech (just don't mention the war;)). Each nation is complex and unique. In fact, forget everything I just said and re-read Asparagins post. he said it more succintly. Viva la freedom! Hope you enjoy your new gun! I just couldn't let this one pass:lol: EDIT: This might be a bit too political for these forums, and I know others will have strong views on this. Sorry if I have overstepped the mark. Over and OUT.

  42. I think firearms are rooted in America's history. I wouldn't associated immediately with a "free society". Each society has it's freedoms and taboos. If I were to live in the US, would I buy a gun? Tough question..I know the immediate thought is "yes", because all the people around you also carry weapons (at least you think) and having also a gun gives you a feeling of safety. But there are also counter-arguments. Do you actually carry a handgun wherever you go? Was there a situation where you actually had to take it out, or came close to use it?

  44. Кароче, уфолет ва первых видна на треке. Может выложишь тут сетевые треки уфоелтов? Че та мне кажется что треков у тебя нетту. Что касается читов на видимость то вы уже вроде все папки проверяете или еще не все? А вообще читы на видимость недоказуемы, следовательно расслабься и получай удовольствие ;) Если ты не можешь предотвратить пьянку то ее надо возгласить. ни помню кто сказал.

If you have scheduled events, such as antivirus scans and other maintenance jobs, having extra cores usually means you don't have to worry about them while playing since they'll use the free cores. There are other gains as well of course depending on your habits. As an example, I watch a Starcraft 2 commentator called Husky quite a lot, and he uses an i7 920 (if my memory serves). For him there's no problem at all running SC2, Livestreaming software and video encoding software all at the same time - since they spread out to different cores they don't degrade each other that much. No. GHz is not everything, and can only really be a useful comparison between processors of similar design and type. So you can compare C2D's through clock speed, but Nehalem and later is very different silicon and clock speed becomes a very fuzzy comparison. The newer processors get more job done per clock cycle, meaning that a 3GHz i7 will be "faster" than a 3GHz Core2. Over time, as each subsystem gets reworked, all components would be investigated for ways to improve their basic design, and splitting them to separate threads would be one of the ways investigated. It'll happen, but it'll take time, since re-writing code to be multithreaded is a very non-trivial thing. (For example, if the devs were to say "let's just make DCS:A-10C fully multhithreaded" it would delay the product with probably years without adding much in the way of features.)
