Now that Christmas has passed, let us reflect on this year and the current status of the MiG-17F module. • Flight dynamics are 95+% complete • Cockpit model and texturing are 95+% complete • External 3D model is complete and undergoing texturing (60% complete) • Systems modeling is in progress (15% complete) In addition to the module status, we’re taking the opportunity to introduce you to the ASP-4N gunsight and SRD-1M radio range finder (gun radar). The MiG-17F is equipped with the ASP-4N in combination with the SRD-1M. The ASP-4N is a gyro-stabilized, optical, semi-automatic gunsight, similar to but an improvement on the ASP-3N gunsight used in the MiG-15. However, unlike the ASP-3N, the ASP-4N has 3 modes: fixed, gyro and gun radar. A mechanical backup sight is available in case of failure. The SRD-1M is a radio range finder works together with the ASP-4N and can only be used against aerial targets. The radio range finder sends out short periodical electro-magnetic pulses and receives them when returning from a target, distance is calculated and sent to the gunsight. Gunsight Modes: Fixed • The reticle is fixed in position, where the wingspan and distance are manually adjustable, as in ASP-3N gunsight. Gyro mode • Reticle moves automatically approximating the flight of the NR-23 cannon rounds; gyro sight is programmed only with the ballistics of the NR-23 cannon. • It is engaged by setting the handle on the left side of gunsight to gyro mode. • Wingspan and distance are manually adjustable. • Gyro mode is only to be used in aerial combat. Gun radar mode: • Set the gunsight to gyro mode. • Turn on the SRD-1 gun radar located on the left wall, aft of the throttle. • Gun radar relay needs to warm up for approximately 90 seconds by turning ON the high AC voltage switch on the console. Turn off High AC voltage switch after 90-120 seconds. • Gun radar tracking is automatic, the radar chooses the most convenient target plane and locks it on. • Two lamps mounted on the left side of the sight head note a gun radar target tracking. Bottom green lamp illuminates when the target is locked at a distance of 300-2000 meters. Top red lamp illuminates when the target is locked at the ideal shooting distance of 400-1200 meters. • Radar determines the distance and shows the ideal shooting solution. • Ballistics of the gun radar can be switched between NR-23 or N-37 mm cannons.   5. Мой 30ли летний опыт работы программистом просто семафорит что это баг. Я и предположить не мог, что с за это время культура написания кода так упала. Очень жаль, что теперь это не считается багом. На таких картах как Кавказ или Невада даже 16 гигов не заполняются... Не говоря уже о какой нить MSFS где и 8 то с еле бывает, и это при божественной картинке. По таким же причинам техосмотр авто отменили - ну типа, мишина едет, быстро едет, значит всё нормально.

  6. No problem. Since I now have my country packs I will make all kind of changes per pack before releasing. It will be a combination of fixes, new assets, changes etc with every country pack release.   8. a) I can only speak for my assets and their weapons. I can get all my missiles and guided bombs to work in 2.9 (disclaimer: as far as I'm aware of). I just fixed the CJ-10, 3M14T, 9M729 and the SPEAR 5 LACM. But I still have to release the updated packs with these last cruise missile fixes. b) Yep, works fine.

И так дано: Ryzen 5900X 64Gb@3200Mhz RAM, rtx4060ti16gb, десятиминутные прогоны cinebench23 дают значения выше медианы для такого же железа - т.ч. с системой всё в порядке Миссия в одиночном режиме на однопотоке, до позапрошлого обновления: работала стабильно с 40+ fps буквально через 3 часа после обновления запускаю ту же миссию: fps 6-12 с резкими забросами до 250. Теперь и в однопотоке и в многопотоке одинаково, до этого многопоток просто неприятно лагал. Да это баг. подробности, с файлом миссии и логами: далее мультиплеер - до предпоследней обновы норм, сразу после те же сервера: при подключения имеют 0 fps прямо от меню выбора позиции, фризит до 1 кадра в 5-10 минут, если хватит терпения и ловкости на управление с задержками как до Марса, включить в меню выбора позиции фильтр доступных (уменьшающих тем длину списка) - fps чуть вырастает, еще может помочь прос..ться хватание за полосу прокрутки и тягание его вверх вниз иногда fps при этом может медленно вырасти до 12-16, а может и нет... т.е. короче меню фризит так что обратно выйти с сервера своим ходом нормальный человек уже не сможет. Чуть больше деталей по ссылке выше + через одно сообщение вниз. Я такой не один, например: Извините но у меня с этой ситуации жопа горит, мол нет такого бага, "это у вас что-то", как в хохме про то как было бы, если б врачи работали как программисты: "Смотри, вот у меня точно такая же нога, и не болит" – это значит что исправлять ситуацию никто и не чешется, и в ближайший месяц-два, при благоприятном стечении обстоятельств мне бамбук курить, а то и вообще забыть про DCS с концами...

  12. Yep, that's a known error which we discovered a couple of pages back in this thread. It turned out that OvGME doesn't handle files over around 4 GB, i.e it won't recognize it as a valid mod package. The solution/workaround is to unzip the main folder in the zip and it'll work fine. Thanks, yep, since it's a modern/futuristic missile I made it harder to hit in the final maneuver. Modern antiship missiles have evasive maneuvers built-in, but since there aren't any way to implement those in DCS I have to create these kind of workarounds/emulations of the actual thing.

  15. Андрей, тут дело в устаревании системы, а в каких-то проблемах с оптимизацией. Это очень просто увидеть, просто загрузив игру и ничего больше не нажимая. Всегда отчётливо видно как что то в игре постоянно грузит одно ядро на 100%. Вот пример для процессора 5800x Для интереса так же просто запустил игру на не молодом i5-4690K, который совсем недавно с большим избытком тянул DCS World. Там схожая ситуация Понятно дело, что у владельцев старых CPU в самой миссии будет всё ещё хуже. И тут проблема не в железе, в багах/оптимизации кода. P.S. Для любителей читать по диагонали, пишу ещё раз: Это просто ЗАПУСК игры, уже на начальном экране игры такая ситуация с CPU.

  17. As was noted in another, much older thread, the problem has everything to do with the new 'viewAngleVertical' parameter that got added at some point. It defaults to 0 for every aircraft, and this apparently causes the game to basically ignore all the custom view settings. It was broken before, but there was previously a workaround which apparently stopped working. To fix this problem, I had to first recreate my default view/horizontal FOV in one plane with the ingame controls and Alt Num0, using an old screenshot as reference. Once I got that set in the Snapview file for one aircraft, I just took the Horizontal Field of View (close, but not exact to what I had before), and the new Vertical Field of View (the game calculated it, I guess based on my screen aspect ratio and in-game zoom?), I just manually pasted that into section [13] for every single airplane. Fortunately, I prefer the same default FOV for almost every airplane, so that method was viable. None of the angles were changed, so I've basically restored all my custom view settings, with the FOVs within a degree of where they were before. It would have been hell if I had literally had to load every airplane up and recreate all of my cockpit views again by eye. I realize that this is an "open beta", but how something so fundamental to the viewing system can actually slip through and get published baffles me. I was going to fly today, after an extended break, but instead I spent the afternoon looking for a solution, and fooling around with text files..... edit--The good news is that once you get that sorted out, everything works as it apparently should. No "Right Control + Num0" workaround required.

  22. Der Treibstoff wird, grundsätzlich bei allen Flugzeugen, nur von einem oder mehreren "Feeder"-Tanks direkt zum Triebwerk gepumpt. Treibstoff von externen Tanks wird dabei stets in die internen Tanks gepumpt. Das passiert automatisch. Externer Tank -> Interner Tank -> Feeder Tank -> Triebwerk

But as discussed in this thread you do not need to use google, you can use off line authentication also 2FA is required for our free trials, we understand for some it is an inconvenience however due to abuse of our system by some people we have had to add the verification process. thank you

  27. Yes, AI helicopter behavior is quite weird in DCS, even more than that of planes. Unfortunately it's a total immersion killer seeing AI helicopters take off and land.

  28. Ну конечно это ограничение всегда стоит. Андрей, это проблема именно МТ версии. И её легко видно. Это именно баг. И эта нагрузка перетекает и в саму миссию. Просто там иногда система начинает бросать этот поток по ядрам. И дело тут не конкретно в моей системе. Я тестировал на трёх разных компах с разными версиями W10. Поручите пожалуйста программистам проверить, просто на начальном экране проще всего подловить баг. А вот обычная версия для теста.

  32. I got the QP for a good price so yes, I think it is worth it. I am still testing things. It works very well with VD and produces similar quality and performance to the P4. I don't notice the lower pixel count. However, DFR means that I can use more restricted FOV settings than I could with FFR with the P4. This gives it a good performance boost. The colours and contrast are better with the QP due to the better screens. The lenses are better too. Using a link cable produces less noticable compression artifacts as you can push it to 960 Mbps. It is a subtle effect but I noticed it in fine details of buildings and the smaller cockpit text. The P4 is still a good headset and well worth it. The QP is a better headset with a much bigger price tag unless you can find a good new or nearly new deal on eBay. Edit: I am trying to compare like for like in terms of pixels etc and I need to push the oculus link to a much higher count so see any improvement over VD.

  35. I did some testing, it looks like the weight has an impact. A max weight Tu-95MSM will give around 4 deg pitch and with a light weight it will be more straight. I also checked other prop aircraft and it's the same with them. So it's nothing unique with my asset. But I haven't looked deeper into it to see what we can configure yet.

  39. В Elite Dangerous графика и ВР работают безупречно, насколько это возможно, мой комп тянет ровно, без фризов и т.д., а догфайты там похлеще, чем в ДКС. В ДКС тоже есть отдельные моменты "просто разрабы как бараны упёрлись рогом", например, пулеметы .50 cal на UH-1: пару часов работы моделеру, но 10 лет все хотелки идут лесом... Про Хариер вообще молчу - самолет-зомби, то ли живой, то ли нет. Везде есть проблемы, но плавная работа на адекватном ПК должна быть в любом случае. У меня настройки на минимуме (все "украшательства выкл) уже лет 15 - ну люблю я так, для меня и Локон был достаточно красивый. Но только сейчас на стабильной появились совсем неудобоваримые фризы. Покупка 4090 (у меня она стоит $3000) никак не решает этих проблем, что само по себе должно доводить пользователей до белого каления. С таким потолком мы сим с боями рота на роту никогда не увидим. А про батальоны вообще молчу. Если не удается решить проблему кодом, надо вводить опцию "низких" лодов - я готов пострелять и по угловатым моделям танков мавериками с 20 км, или еще что-то.
