Watch me (try to) fix/investigate something in the Viggen!
unknown replied to RagnarDa's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
There was a half hidden running banner in the lower right corner which said the low resolution was intentional. But this is the new module Heatblur is working on, DCS:Minecraft :smilewink::beer: -
Was watching the new Mini Update Video from Wags, looks like a really nice Update for tomorrow with all the additional "small" things to the known TWS/Link update.
-
Hm, it's a high-def module, so why should they demand less than the other high-def modules? I would place it 70$-80$
-
1. Nobody is talking about DCS exclusive on Linux :megalol: 2. Nobody is talking about DCS on Linux tomorrow, there are more important things to do right now. 3. This is the DCS WISHLIST section of the forum. Everybody can express their wishes here. So why are you "screeming NO, NO...", they should do .... first, it's not worth it.... blah blah blah. It's a wish! ED can consider it themselves!
-
If my games would run under Linux i wouldn't use Windows anymore. But they don't, so i'm forced to use Windows.... I would like them to port DCS to Linux.
-
Thats a myth by the "TWS fans", Wags did a poll about what feature was most wanted. Guess what, TWS was only on the 4th place. By your logic the AG radar guys should be burning down ED because that feature was on place 3! Most wanted was TGP and HARM, thats what they worked/work on. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=219023&highlight=poll Don't get me wrong, i would also like to have a finished F-18, but people should stay by the facts. ED asked the community what they wanted and adjusted there development accordingly.
-
Yes, that was my first thought too. But it could be because i fly only in VR? We will see.
-
Sorry for this simple explanation/guess: I think the "problem" is that you use physical stick movement in the F-18 to steer the jet but in the F-16 you use force(the stick moves barely). But unless you have a force sensing stick you have to move the stick further to "emulate" a stronger force, thats how i understand it. This would explain why you feel that the F-16 behaves "strange" compared to the F-18.
-
The same logic like for every other EA module released, you are supposed to BETA TEST this and give feedback. ;)
-
That the Viggen never had internal cannons/guns, only gunpods.
-
I'm getting curious here, how does this actually work with the WW2 Asset pack? You have to buy it but what if these units are used on a MP server and you don't have them? You can't connect?

Hi RagnarDa, i tried the Viggen after some time again. Dropped some high drag bombs on some ground units. I tried to land but did a crash landing(looks i'm a little rusty in the Viggen  ) and at that moment DCS stopped working(sliding on the runway backwards with thrust reverser on) , no error window, no track, i had to close DCS via the task manager because it was not reacting anymore after a couple of minutes of waiting. In the last DCS Log the last lines are: 2019-11-17 17:48:09.466 ERROR VIGGEN: HeatBlur: Assert failed: Value out of range. -. Was nan. Slow. :( No.  :smilewink:

 The funny part is, that's exactly how it works right now because clouds are not synced in MP, so hiding in one doesn't mean the enemy is seeing one.

You don't need the "Cont"(just click a second time and it will rotate one step to the right from Sect to cont). Just turn it on sect/cont and use the NWS/IFF interrogate button - check your key bindings. Works like that for years and so in the latest OB of DCS.
-
Hi TristarEsp, welcome to the forums. To summarize a little what was said in this thread. There are currently two "turbulences" modeled in DCS. 1. The wake turbulence - which you have to activate in the options -> gameplay (pic 1) 2. Wether turbulence - which is configured in the mission editor (pic 2) You can open every mission (campaign/user made) with the mission editor and change for example the weather preset and turbulences. I was quit busy landing my F-16 with crosswind and turbulence set to 12 -> nose was constantly moving left/right/up/down at low speed. Is there room for improvements? Probably.
-
Theoretically yes, because the stable branch is "only" bringing the the stable version to the latest beta version.
-
Thank you very much for this beautiful looking new cockpit RAZBAM
-
- you select the bombs (pic 1) - you press the marked button (pic 2) - you get AG mode/designator (pic 3)
-
Thank you very much Sir, this was driving me crazy because i couldn't figure out why. I did a cold ramp start (like you said) and every thing is dead centered. This only shows that i fly the WW2 stuff way to less, to be honest the 109 and D9 where collecting dust until i bought the A8(enjoy flying her very much). @MODS This can be closed/deleted whatever you like, "problem" solved.

[REPORTED]BUG Report - cargo in MP flying in sky
unknown replied to HC_Official's topic in Bugs and Problems
You should watch what happens if you drop cargo on a moving ship(heli pad, carrier...) The cargo is staying where you dropped it and the ship is moving under the cargo, after some time the ship moved on but the cargo is floating in the air (where you dropped it on the ship). -
Negative, no auto rudder or other assist functions, no trim tabs set for the 109 either.

Hallo everybody, i have a wired problem(bug?) only in my WW2 birds. If i fly any of my WW2 birds i can see that my Roll/Pitch/Rudder axis deviate from my physikal HOTAS hardware, my stick is dead center but in the FW190 it's a little up and to the right on the control indicator. I can see some variation which axis are affected depending on what WW2 bird i use. I don't have any "helper" activated in the special tabs. This is only happening in the WW2 birds, all other modules jets/helis are not affected by this! Some strange observation i made in the axis settings: - if i open the axis tune setting in one of the WW2 birds my axis is not centered - if i just move the axis a little and let go the axis will centre in the axis tune setting but not in game - if i open the axis tune settings in a jet or heli module everything is immediately centered - no need to move something I already deleted my axis assignments and assigned them again but no luck. It looks like a in-game programmed offset for the axis for that modules? Attached are some pictures showing the problem and the settings. Does anybody else see this or is this just on my end? I did a forum search but couldn't find anything and i hope this is the right spot in the forum to post this.

[REPORTED]Gear Status and Pitot Heating status lights extinguish
unknown replied to LeCuvier's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi LeCuvier, i saw this yesterday too after flying the A8 after a couple weeks off. The easiest way to replicate this: - do a air start - time acceleration - nothing else to do - after a little less than 6min and 30sec into the mission the lights go off Track showing the exact same done(including the time acceleration so you don't have to wait 6min) attached. Aim9x the new reliable Anti Missile System :D.
unknown replied to Makempay's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I had a testflight against two Mig-29 a week ago or so and was shooting two AIM-120C at them, i thought one of them missed the Mig because i had to use the AIM-9 to finish the last one. I watched the Tacview after that mission and saw that one of my two AIM-120C had intercepted the incoming R-27 from one Mig :D
