Prop Feathering ---- Am I doing something wrong?
Koriel replied to DartzIRL's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
It appears strange, but I've had successfully feathered an engine by first using the feather push button, then reducing power, and then reducing the prop pitch. Don know the system yet, so no idea why. -
Well... it just is not what I was hoping for, no pilot models inside, flying as no2 is .. useless?

The thread title says it all.. What will the multicrew animations look like? For me part of the immersion in flying the Tomcat is that the way HB animates the other crewmember is adding tremendously to the immersion. From the backseat you can follow where the pilot is looking and that is just awesome. When ED introduced the Huey multiplayer I was very disappointed with the animation. You know there's someone beside you in the Huey but it certainly doesn't feel like it. So what will the animations look like?

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
Koriel replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I was a backer as well. And I have to defend ED here. Let me tell you why. We (the backers) backed a Kickstarer campaign. Let me quote Kickstarter here: We supported a campaign with all it's implied risks. The campaign failed. Eagle Dynamics made a very appreciated good will effort to provide the backers with it's promised content in so far as Eagle was taking their own WW2 plan. I don't think they were obligated to do anything for us as this whole Kickstarter campaign was completely ot of control of ED and they have recived none of the funds we all provided the campain with. Still I ended up paying and losing $81 to this kickstarter campaign and ED has provided me with 4 Aircraft licenses AND the Normandy map AND the WW2 Assets pack. The total value far exceeding what I paid for the failed kickstarter. So I'm happy. The Kickstarter promised us a 262. We all know that the modules that are being developed by Eagle are build to a very high standard. I don't even know that ED can code the 262 up to it's usual standard. TL:DR Be glad that ED honors the pledges in so far as ED can, they are under no obligations to do anything at all. -
DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
Koriel replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
+1 @Zius What is the status of the Schwalbe? Haven't heard anything about it recently, and still have 2 WW2 licenses waiting.. -
I am not sure it's the same issue but: Syria map F-14A in flight disarmed my ejection seat, Got rid of Jester via Ctrl-E (3x) In cockpit view showed an opened canopy, external views showed no more canopy.

[RESOLVED] Missing bomb/rocket rack in some loadout
Koriel replied to Mirknir's topic in Bugs and Problems
And another month has passed on a bug that was reported over a year ago and was one of the next items to be fixed in Januari... -
What I would like to know is how far Eagle is taking the visual aspect of multicrew. If I take the Tomcat for example, the multicrew visual aspect is amazing, you can see the pilot/rio looking around like in real life. And when you compare it to the Huey where the visual aspect consists out of a very basic looking human pilot looking straight ahead, left or right.. When I take someone up I have no idea where exactly he's looking at. I really hope Eagle will try to surpass HB in this matter..

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Koriel replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
All I know officially is what's been said in the first newspost from this year: And So until someone from ED gives me an update on the release dates this is what I'm holding them up to. -
How about now?

Compared to the F-14 I find the animation of the other (pilot) crewmember to be severely lacking. I would like to see some improvement here. to equal the quality of Heatblur.

That is a wee bit of an understatement.. the date on that pdf file is Monday, March 18, 2019 Would it be possible to add a version number or issue date to the current manual with all changes like you're posting in this thread? And a little nitpicking, wasn't looking for it.. really I wasn't .. hundreths - > hundredths, under Air-to-Air Weapons, HUD Symbology for Air-to-Air Missiles

Mini Server.. Fits in your pocket
Koriel replied to Koriel's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
I'm running a heavily edited TTI mission, so far only with up to 4 clients, but it seems to be holding up. /edit. Last night I hosted for about 8 ppl without any complaints.. seems like it works just fine -
Just wanted to share my server hardware with ya'll.. I like to tinker with new toys, a few months ago I ordered a Larkbox thru Indigogo.. https://www.chuwi.com/product/items/Chuwi-LarkBox.html https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/chuwi-larkbox-world-s-smallest-4k-mini-pc/x/8008842#/ As you can see it's quite small.. I've got it hanging from it's USB-C type charger and it's connected to my router thru a USB 3.) to UTP connector. I control it over RDP. I never really expected it, but it seems to run the DCS server just fine. Starting the server takes a while, but when it's up it just runs and runs. In Hardware Monitor I've never seen it pull over 7 watts.. ;-) I guess it will draw a bit more for cooling and such, but sofar.. impressed
-
Well I hope they will be talking to Heatblur, and license their multicrew code... For me thatś the standard right now.
-
a big LOL here.. ;-) Make it early fifties, and no impulse control.. On Topic again: I suggested to Nick a while back to have one of these 3rd party online stores for fans to purchase anything from t-shirt, coffee mugs and the likes. He replied that they were thinking about something like that, but I had the impression that it will not come to anything.
-
Very nice guide, thanks. And now for a very bold request. ;-) Is it possible to create templates for complete SAM sites? So one can drop a complete SAM system into a mission? This is something that I really find lacking in the mission editor.

Joining Multiplayer Server results in DCS locking up
Koriel replied to chaos's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Just to add to this report: The server we have runs a few instances and we have never had a report like this before. All our members ( 30+ ) don't have any problems connecting. -
Has there been news on this issue? I have a Streamdeck, and every time I program a command via a lot of Fx keys, there seems to be an issue.. So a simple way to always get the command you want would be great.
