  1. Track file (link valid for a week): https://1drv.ms/u/s!At1H2UTCuVEXsU_uvbCE-Sa8M3nR?e=YkHjhH My system Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite AMD Ryzen 7 5800X AMD 6900XT 1TB NVME 32GB 3600-16 Reverb G2 Steam VR 70% DCS PD 1.0 dcs.log debrief.log
  2. When using AGM-65D/G FLIR on the WPN page the fps drops significantly. The TGP doesn't have this effect. Edit 1: I just tried it on SP in mission editor and it runs fine. It was on the hoggit Georgia at War server where I have the issues.
  3. I've never been able to change PRF on weapons with anything except a completely powered down aircraft.
  4. Do you have the circles if you start in the air?
  5. Stinger are going to do absolutely nothing compared to jets loaded with Sidewinders, AMRAAM or their russian equivalent. It's used as defence against enemy helicopters. You want protection against jets? Befriend a jet pilot.
  6. Pretty much the same setup except a 5800x. With 2.7 lost the smoothness I had before. Curious as to what settings you have at the moment in Steam VR (%) and PD in DCS, as well as the other settings.
  7. I know the RFI of the AH-64D was able to provide rough cueing information to the FCR. The FCR returns where then matched to the RFI hits generating a location where TADS could be slaved to. The pre 2000 -64D was ahead of it's time but I was kind of hoping the 2007 block 50 would have caught up. https://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/docs/ah-64-mfp-1-33.htm
  8. Would the TGP be able to receive cueing information from the HTS? Or is that what you ment?
  9. QNH is altimeter setting reference to MSL so the altitude is displayed as AMSL. QNE is altimeter set to 1013mb or 29.92mm. The last setting is used above transition altitude so that all aircraft in a large area can be on the same altimeter setting. Which is important to maintain vertical speration. https://images.app.goo.gl/4ZuhcaqawdMTZciFA
  10. I've asked the same question, also because it's already in the manual. ED has stated it's planned for future release.
  11. I am using TARGET and have binded the viper a/p with the following settings: To activate the O layer I use the red pinky button on the throttle. edit: can my post moved to the new thread?
  12. You can only change laser codes when the aircraft is completely off. No power whatsoever. On the kneeboard it shows which key combo to press to advance the laser code 1 digit. RS=right shift RA=right alt and then 9,0,= depending on which digit of the code you want to modify. Just remember to do it first thing on a cold startup.
  13. Great tool for on the fly missions. I do get the same vibe as old microprose missions, compliments! I do have some bugs to report though. Tanker TACAN was u/s (no bearing/distance) double checked with ground TACAN and that did work, made sure I was in A-A TCN mode. Furthermore for a viper the 220 @ FL190 is on the slow side with a A-G loadout. Single player controlling a wingman. All frequencies for AWACS/AAR/JTAC are UHF. Is it possible to start all wingmen on a common VHF freq (see screenshot clarification - 125.00)? Doing that eliminates the need to continuously siwtch UHF frequencies. The mission was CAS so I kind of hoped for a standard 9-liner. Will this functionality be introduced later on? Operation Fast Torch.miz
  14. The F-117 retired you say? https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/38914/f-117s-cleared-to-refuel-from-all-kc-135s-as-retired-stealth-jets-expand-operations
  15. For SEAD you need reach, possibly low level as well. For that you need external fuel tanks. Centerline won't do because of the ALQ that would have to be brought along. Caveat lector, conjecture. I think there were plans for a 4x HARM viper. But that it was never realized due to amount of (structural?) modifications that it would require. Further up in this thread a SME discussed how that the existing frame hardly has enough room for -1553 cabling to station 3,7 let alone for an extra set to 4,6. Too much effort for what's possibly a niche requirement. So they dropped it in the end.
  16. Way too easy. I quote the PACAF: 1.2. Wing SCLs . PACAF Wings will submit a Standard Conventional Load for each MDS to HQ PACAF/DOTW for approval. The SCL should be based on OPLAN tasking, Designed Operational Capability (DOC) statement, and Unit Committed Munitions List (UCML). SCLs should be reviewed yearly and updated as required. Send updates to HQ PACAF/DOTW. Furthermore: 2. Standard Conventional Loads (SCL). SCLs were originally designed to provide war planners with specific acceptable loads for various aircraft. Operators and maintainers used SCLs as a guide for training. The diversity of new weapons and missions quickly rendered the publication outdated. By using codes to represent the munitions, we allow for rapid deployment of new weapon types and designations with little or no change to this publication. This minimizes the impact on units as the new items are fielded. Mentioning OPLAN, war planners using SCL, which are held to DOC statements, to streamline aircraft configuration for operational use, inherently suggests that SCL are used for more than static or aerial showboating.
  17. FM 1-112 Attack Helicopter Operations is a good place to start. Although I remember using it for Janes Longbow 2 so it might be slightly dated.
  18. Most A models, dash depending, didn't even have GPS and a old school INS with tons of drift. You had to update the INS by overflying/lasing known points. If you had more than 7 waypoints you had re reprogram them in flight. No tactical situation display (TSD) for the back seater to navigate and build situational awareness from. The CPG had to help his backseater navigate to the correct RV point and such. The D model even without FCR was a game changer. The amount of integration of systems, even today, is hardly rivaled. Just look how clean the cockpit is.
  19. As I understand it the JSOW-B was a US Navy only model. After testing it was shit canned. So it follows we won't be able to use it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-154_Joint_Standoff_Weapon
  20. Well actually.... Ok, granted, it's not the CLT and it's still in development and it's a blok 70(?). Too funny to pass up though.... https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/39406/laser-defense-pod-for-the-air-forces-fighter-jets-is-finally-taking-shape
  21. The -D does not handle moisture any better than the -A model.
  22. A 130% dual engine overtorque with the collective in that position? I guess the flight model needs some work.
  23. Would it be possible to implement the bookmarks in kneeboard builder? The amount of pages in the CL is growing steadily and it would awesome to have bookmarks preset in stead of doing in it during the startup.
  24. I would suggest tabs as permanent pins , which can be named. And then the labels we have now as temporary ones.
  25. IZLID's have been mounted to the 30mm to enhance coordination between air-ground units. It's only visible with NVG and not FLIR. The lasers have been used a lot to point targets out for aircraft The other way around an IZLID mounted on the gun can be used to point out feature/subjects of interest to ground forces in a visual manner.
