  1. What looks to me to be happening is that the lamp poles are too hot. Like, it's contrasting with the background a lot and causing the missile to lock it. Must be a hell of a streetlight that DCS uses!
  2. Just like the title says. Pause Open Track, can't use pov hat or mouse or keyboard to look around cockpit. Apparently, some people don't have this problem? I have the Open Track set to output at TrackIR, allegedly. Anyway, it's annoying and one of the things keeping me from using headtracking.
  3. That's odd about MSFS because as far as I can tell, the "slider" is just a button, so sliding it is the equivalent of holding down a button. Makes a good parking brake, basically.
  4. Disregard this post.
  5. started Open AI again to play around with it again and now the game won't pick it up at all. I know randomly sometimes it freaks out and spams TrackIR plugged/unplugged. Is there some other settings I'm missing? Turn computer off and on again? Unplug and plug camera? It's also my mic and SRS pics it up just fine. Can see myself and tracking too. EDIT: I disabled it with the dropdown menu and forgot.
  6. Is there some setting in Open Track that makes that work properly? Because when I pause it, the view just gets stuck centered. Don't really get that. Seems clunky. Like the padlock function! Pauses where I last looked (cool), doesn't enable POV hat. Doesn't allow alt-c mouse look to move around the cockpit either.
  7. There is a pause tracker function in game? Because I know there is one in Open Track, but it doesn't allow POV hat binds to work. I'll look again, but I didn't see it.
  8. I have the same problem. I just stopped using it because enabling head tracking seems to disable the POV switch. And it's hard to tweak. And it can be a little nauseating. It's really silly that you can't pause it in game and switch over to POV hat. Kinda like how you can't view center while padlocked while holding view center so dogfighting is weird. IDK, maybe I can figure it out.
  9. I think it might be the SEC Light! Also, if you fail once, I think you have to rearm/refuel to get everything charged up again.
  10. Main power on JFS start 2 Throttle to idle at 20% Often doesn't work. The engine just doesn't catch. Auto start doesn't work after that either. Even after rearm/refuel. Only answer has been to change slots or respawn and try again until it works. Track file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LXUVlgiaTVNxW6aWtQO0MyC0d-l9ehrc/view?usp=sharing I feel like it has been happening since I bought Hornet, PG, and SC, but probably coincidence.
  11. I have noticed that this depends on WHERE you start. It was more to do with whether or not it's flat where you start. Solution is to always use brakes. However, there's pretty much nowhere on Caucuses map that you should be rolling at start. Incirlik on Syria map is a different story.
  12. x1,000
  13. Bump. Just bought the PG map. What's there is great, but what's not there seems a pretty glaring absence considering the size and the map grid. Doha, Basra, etc. It almost seems like the map was made for just flying around Dubai or doing strikes from waaaaay out to sea. Considering the scale of even the free map, let alone a 3rd party map like Syria, it's a bit disappointing for an official map.
  14. Of course. I usually arm up before starting.
  15. If I'm just loading in and doing a cold start, will Stored Heading work? It didn't seem to.
  16. So, I think I just have to wait a lot longer. Was that changed in this release? After about 8/X it is pretty accurate. Also, I appreciate the zombie sounds, but can I turn them off now?
  17. I'll try to get a track, but I think I explained it. Cold start = wrong altitude on steerpoint indicator. Hot start = no problem.
  18. Little of both. 2.8 messed up a lot of stuff.
  19. Little heckin bamboozled here. Does allign just take longer now on cold start? Coords will be right. Even the TGP might point in the right place. But display on the HUD/HMD is not at the right altitude, or even the right place. Waiting till I get 10/X on the INS display takes forever. Thought it was me doing something wrong, so did Autostart, and when it says INS aligned, I guess it's not? Autostart is seriously incomplete, btw. Doesn't set altimeter, doesn't change it to elec, doesn't turn on IFF. Doesn't set stores cat, if it's supposed to. Doesn't switch off backup radio. Pretty sure it should close the canopy WAY earlier. Also, it doesn't turn on RWR and other equipment, and I can't really do it with the canopy latch in the way. Anyway. Didn't see anything in the changelog about changes to the nav system, but it seems messed up. Oh and poor FPS. lighting looks good though.
  20. So it basically keeps the pilot from forgetting to set it back to CAS?
  21. Damn, really enjoyed having ground speed on the hud for taxiing. Even bound the switch. I get that there's an override logic for wheels down, and I understand why, but there isn't another logic check for weight-on-wheels?
  22. Bumping this because I'm wondering if there's any way to add more resistance to the 4-way thumb switches on the side of the throttle? They are a bit vague or sloppy feeling and I keep hitting dogfight override (F-16) when reaching for the other switches. Also wouldn't mind modding the thumb stick on the stick to be just a button. It literally is just my view center button and does nothing else. It would be more usable and comfortable for me to get rid of the analog stick and just have the button left.
  23. Alt and then printscreen, iirc copies only the active window and then you can paste it into any photo editor, even paint, or an email client so your IT department can see the error message you're getting. Or even the forums here. That's how manuals and stuff have pictures of just message windows.
  24. Wait, F-ACK isn't IFF Acknowledge?!
