  2. This in-game options does what you want... before game starts it reads physical position of your switches in cockpit and sets position of those switches in game to match. Now I've never tried this (and I've taken out all my physical switches out) and I am not sure if ON-OFF switch would work (can game read the OFF state of the switch?), but for sure the ON-ON switch should work (whichever position switch is in, there will be some control in game mapped to it and game can read it). By the way, momentary switch OFF-(ON) is good for commands that are toggled (switch in game toggles between up and down position), but if you have in game switch that has 2 commands for each position (no toggle) they won't work... and in this case you would need the ON-ON switch.

  10. 90Hz minimum rules out also being able to run DCS at that FPS... to me doesn't look like OR will replace monitors for DCS any time soon

  13. Do you think you can spot small plane at 16Km in real life? Unless there is high light reflection you won't see it even at 10Km. And talking about light reflections, that is what I think is missing completely in game for far LODs. One wrong thing most people have is high FoV... Set it to more actual FoV your monitor takes as you are looking at it... And I am sure you will find objects are easier to see... I would say mainly because at correct FoV the game renders image to your eyes at 1:1 ratio.

  15. My recommendation about the MIG-21Bis... it's damn good module but... you will really want to read (and learn lot from) the manual. I printed the 181 page manual this afternoon, A4 format, in color... it wasn't cheap but I did it anyway... it will come in handy for many years to come. I can already see many posts like "how do I raise my landing gear" and alike :lol:

I am totally thinking about doing just that... the pit of MiG-21 is nothing fancy, it wouldn't be too hard to make up a shape with mostly flat panels... but then I would need probably 15 those LeoBodnar controllers... wire it all up.... oh but then forgot about the switches... so many switches :helpsmilie: The only "bad" thing making me wary about doing this is because once 1 or 2 more modern fighters come about... the MiG-21 won't have much chance in fighting them... so making pit for it would eventually go to "waste" :noexpression: But honestly... from short time I saw I am very impressed with this module... and I haven't even gotten to learn to start her up manually... so far I only got to take off, fly a bit around, and land... manage flaps, lights, canopy (and there I jettisoned it once by accident :D)... so much to learn... :book: I need to make nice print out of the manual and start learning... I feel like back at UNI :D
  18. I have to say the MiG-21Bis is kind of perfect for making full on pit with all the switches, every switch position seems to have its own key assignment... I am very impressed, only problem is, there are lot of switches... just wondering how many USB controllers I would need to get to get all the switches working? :D

  23. Sorry but I still can't replicate on my end... I turned on fog and overcast... flew around shooting guns, externals and in cockpit and I didn't get the gun smoke to show with this black texture bug. EDIT: I finally got it to show... looks like it is fog related, but also doesn't show all the time, when I am in cockpit and bank a bit it shows black smoke (pretty frequently) but flying level it doesn't :) I'll re-check in tester version also, if I can't replicate there as well. EDIT2: I can't replicate this in latest tester version so I can't report this (as its already fixed in newer versions and will eventually get into public release, I assume that would be in 2.0.0 / EDGE but don't take my word for it as this is just my assumption), but I did find that there is another bug with smoke effect, smoke being visible in cockpit (which is now reported)

  25. I think also that Fulcrum is probably the most beautiful fighter aircraft... I wonder what happened with that MiG-29 3D model few guys from 59th were working on... it's been 4 years I think since they started on it (1st post in their thread) and it's been around 1 year since they stopped giving any updates... I am so hoping they are silently working on cockpit and PFM to bring us DCS MiG-29A Fulcrum... yes.. I am dreaming...
