  1. Very true. I think I will be one of them. However, ED did not help tame people's expectations. Providing the feature list only left the door open for more questions. Questions that has not been answered, such as this thread. Other than a live deck, what's the point of having deck crew that doesn't assist with alignment? What's the point of having hangar deck if we(user) can't do anything with it? What's the point of having elevators that work if we can't use them? People say a lot of this is unnecessary and a waste of time or resources, but isn't this what DCS/ED is known for, simulation? We do know that there will not be towing and player walking. Maybe that's why the module was waaay cheaper than everyone expected. I've been with DCS for a while and I've never seen a module so vague and under promoted. I know promos will start "soon" since Q1 is almost over, but no one can say, with a straight face, that they know what they're getting with the SC. Man, I hope ED makes me eat plenty of crow.;)

  3. Let's put this Viper/Carrier discussion to rest, PLEEEEASE. Everybody wants realism/immersion until it no longer suits them. There's nothing real about a F-16 landing on a carrier.
  4. Oh really? I did not know that. There must be a bug with the map then because it provides ILS frequencies.
  5. The map says the ILS frequency is 111.20 for Rwy 13L, but the DED just blinks as if there's an error. The other freq., 114.90, doesn't work either.

  7. You really think so? Maybe not a first person view, but walking to the jet and getting in should be something ED should look into implementing, IMHO.

  9. In the Viper, I cannot input ILS frequency 111.20 for RWY 13L at Al Dhafra AB. The DED just blinks as if there's an error with the frequency input. Is there another freq I should be using?

  16. I definitely agree. I don't see how anyone could disagree with this statement. There's only been one video and no new info.

  18. The only issue I have with the Hornet is that it only carries 1 mav per station. This is mind boggling to me considering it's size. It should be able to carry at least 2 per station.
  19. I've noticed when running SS at 200% I occasionally get a massive GPU overload. My frametime shoots up to above 70ms and fps drops to the teens and usage is 99%. I have to alt-tab out of the game and wait until the frames get back to normal and alt-tab back into the game. It doesn't happen with SS at 150%.
  20. I'm still trying to find a good gamma setting. Currently, we will have to change the gamma when flying at night and again when flying at daytime. We all need to remember this is the first iteration of the new lighting system. ED will definitely make some tweaks.
  21. My issues also include other objects, such as ground units, KC-130, KC-135MPRS, and E-2 disappearing and reappearing during day and night(NVGs).
  22. This has always been an issue for me. At certain angles the lights do not render in both eyes. Similar to shadows.
  23. It's anyone's guess on how we are going to be able to interact with the SC regarding elevators & hangar deck. I don't see the point in modeling a hangar deck or elevators if we can use them. There's a reason why most of the questions in this thread has been moved to the wishlist thread. There obviously won't be any tugs or walking around. This post hasn't been moved because there are working elevators, again, what's the point if we can interact/use them, realistic or not.
