  1. Yeah, that is pretty much step one for any Warthog mount.
  2. Every time you open the chassis for cleaning or installing hardware, the last step before closing it up is to check/reseat every single board and connector. This is especially true if you physically moved the machine during the process. I spent many years supporting equipment that was moved or shipped on a regular basis and a loose connection or card was often the culprit when the machine ended up in the lab.
  3. Not a bad deal, but (FYI) you aren't allowed to sell your DCS modules.
  4. I wasn't a regular watcher but I did enjoy it when I did watch him. Regardless whether you liked his work, or not, it is so sad to see anyone pass away at such a young age. R.I.P.
  5. Which begs the question, when? As a slower aircraft the rain effect could be a game changer for the A-10.
  6. This is the other large cause for confusion. If you played last night then DCS will not look for an update this afternoon and you must force the update, either through the Windows Start Menu selection or the command line (or Skatezilla's program).
  7. The first release to the public of any patch, or module, is always released onto the beta branch first. This has been true since the introduction of the public Open Beta branch. From there it is logical to assume that the Persian Gulf terrain would follow the same, historic, pattern. I fail to comprehend why this is so difficult to understand (not pointing fingers at DanStro, but everyone who is asking similar questions).
  8. Are you running the Open Beta? It is not available in the release version and your O.B. must be updated to the latest version.
  9. ^^^This. I would bet the farm that this person is being sought to improve the AI.
  10. Glad you are happy with it. Regardless what other think, that is all that matters.
  11. It is parked on a side rail until next week.
  12. I will leave it to the OP to comment. However, the thread was not created as a wishlist, which is my point.
  13. It is only a wishlist thread because the mods moved it there.
  14. The addition of female voices will not improve or detriment DCS as product. Society 'in general' is a social issue which is not a subject for this forum.
  15. Regarding rule 1.1. The OP apparently thinks that ED is violating it with the gender bias of the game itself and it's promotional material. Silly, I know, but that really is the gist of the OP.
  16. ^^^This. VR, at least Oculus and Vive, do not support multiple GPUs at this time. This is not a DCS issue but a VR software issue.
  17. Easy, perhaps. However, there is a significant cost to ED in order to accomplish even the easy stuff. Personally, I don't care either way but I do feel that the OP is blowing things out of proportion. Calling out Wags (or anyone else) for not saying 'people', or something, instead of 'gentlemen' is just plain silly. Most of the post is more about being PC than anything else.
  18. Depending on what you are using now, it could be a good deal. Not the greatest stick but not the worst and certainly better than most things that you could buy new at that price.
  19. Those people have received the product for the purposes of pre-release reviews. Much like many hardware review sites receive video cards, and such, for review before public release.
  20. Yes and no. As long a modules exist that still use StarForce, I would imagine ED will still be paying fees for the service/license.
  21. I would guess Win 7. I think I ran the original A-10C release on XP, in 2011, but I won't swear to that, and DCS World did not exist then.
  22. Guys, you need to face the fact that given the various monitor resolutions that we have available, and then adding in the VR issue, there is no easy answer for the devs.
  23. As long as it remains an option and can be completely disabled, I don't care.
