If I had to pick one, I would choose the A-10. It is slow and certainly not a fighter but if you are more interested in learning to fly (Pink Floyd reference keeps floating through my head) then it is a good choice.
Not a bad price. I could do it cheaper with my laser printer (toner goes a very long way) and FedEx/Kinkos would bind (spiral bound) it for less than $15.
That chip was very unique. It could overclock like crazy and work for years. Mine ran at 450Mhz for three years before it started to fail.
Life is a lot different now. Tolerances are tighter and performance outside of certain ranges is far less likely.
It is a sad truth, that sometimes you get what you pay for. For a high end build, spend the money. What you save in hassles and headaches will be worth it in the long run.
This is the silliest discussion I have ever seen on this forum.
1 - Since there is no way to protect them, the whole idea is pointless.
2 - Since ED owns the rights to the model, skinning it for profit is probably not legal.
3 - In the MP environment, custom skins would not even be visible unless every client owned them.
For a PC, in general, an SSD is a worthwhile investment. The only HDDs left in my house are used as data drives, in the PCs, or as backup/multimedia drives (RAID 1 configs) in NAS boxes.
While 32 GB might, and I mean might, show a slight improvement, it is highly unlikely to be worth the investment. Save your money for a new laptop, or better yet, build a desktop machine.
