  1. I am betting that the OP is using a laptop with no option for a second internal drive. I also suspect that the DCS code is assuming that anything plugged into a USB port is not part of the pool of drives to be scanned.
  2. For my sim pit, the only items plugged directly into the mobo are the keyboard and mouse. Everything else is connected through a powered hub.
  3. If history is any indication, it won't happen this year. Cobra, and his group, has never hit a single target date. Not once.
  4. I would guess, that your mobo is unable to supply enough power for everything. Get a powered USB hub.
  5. Not everyone upgrades as often as you and I, and until recently, upgrades often required more power. An upgrade every three years would still allow a top end PSU to be good for three upgrade cycles. Hell, I have an AX750 in a box on the shelf because I upgraded that machine to a more powerful PSU. I would sell it online except the weight makes the shipping not worth it to most people.
  6. Again, and again. I will repeat this every time. Don't buy a decent PSU, but instead buy an excellent PSU. If you do that it will, most likely, carry you through your next two or three builds. From that perspective it will actually be cheaper than buying three 'decent' PSU's. A cheap CPU or GPU has never destroyed an entire computer, a cheap PSU has, can and will.
  7. Since Wags has repeatedly said that NTTR is done and will not be expanded, for all we know that is not going to happen.
  8. Hmmm, by that definition there would be nothing to fly in the stable version.
  9. No.
  10. It is true for every controller. I have a Saitek Trim wheel, which only has a single axis and no buttons. It still gets all sorts of impossible assignments by default.
  11. It is not about offending someone, it is about German law. You have been around here long enough to know that.
  12.
  13. LOL. I just discovered that aircraft x was made. There was only one but gee it would be cool to have.:megalol:
  14. They are the same but the combat pedal design was more suitable to what, most of us, are using them for. Btw, I have a set that I am willing to sell but shipping cost will not be pretty.
  15. Yes. The program does not care how many times you wish to display the same data.
  16. Yes. Your current setup is already doing this since the main view is the first export and then your second monitor is exporting them a second time. Your proposal would actually be a third export.
  17. The only way you can avoid that is to be logged into his account when you make the purchase.
  18. Have a look at this video. IMHO, this is one of the best 'how to setup TIR' videos out there.
  19. Sure, as long as they don't have to fly or employ weapons.
  20. Middle of this page. You need to modify your registry to fix the problem.
  21. You cannot fly online with the same account on two machines simultaneously.
  22. ED's eshop is, and always has been, one of the most poorly designed and implemented online shopping portals that I have ever used. Unfortunately, it is what it is and is unlikely to be improved.
  23. These are the ones that are basically helo pedals, no toe brakes?
  24. I cannot stress this enough. A weak PSU can cost you more than you can imagine if it fails. Many will tell you that a 'just enough' PSU will get you by. That advice is coming from people that have never experienced a catastrophic failure.
  25. All of the above is true. I am nowhere near the expert that Bit is but I know enough to keep from setting my rig on fire. ;) Seriously, there is a lot to know. This is especially true if you are trying to work on the bleeding edge. I was in the industry when the first Pentiums came out. We had no idea what we could and could not do with them and learned it the hard way. Research, read, and research some more. Luckily, these days the hardware is not changing near as fast as it did in the '90s.
