  1. Just wanted to say that GregP is an excellent person to purchase from. We completed the deal, and he even delivered, within hours (of course we live within 20 miles of each other). My crazy dogs even thought he was safe to let in the house. :) Thanks Greg. Now I just have to design a proper mount for it.
  2. My wallet gave up since I have the CC numbers memorized. ;)
  3. Formatting is not critical. The existing PDF will work well enough. The most cost effective solution is to purchase a laser printer and print it yourself. Binding is relatively cheap for a spiral bind. Keep in mind that the printer will last you for many years and, unlike an inkjet, will always work without significant maintenance.
  4. I see you ignored the 'anything else' part. The argument is spot on. You seem to be saying that there is not 'fierce' competition in the GFX card market. If that is the case then that means that AMD hasn't the desire, or the ability, to compete.
  5. When you buy a car (or most anything else), do you buy the second best in the hopes that the company will eventually produce a better product?
  6. An extension is the best answer. My current one is 12.5 cm.
  7. Cockpit textures have nothing to do with the MFCD displays.
  8. AMD could prevent this, but they choose to build inferior hardware and write second rate drivers instead.
  9. AFAIK, there is no setting to disable that feature. On a 1080p display, I don't find it to be an issue.
  10. The number of members on the forum vs. the number of people playing online proves that so easily.
  11. If you change the port that the controller is connected to it will change the controller ID to DCS and will mess up your settings. Also, IMHO, you should delete every setting for a new aircraft and set each and every control to you liking.
  12. How is that? Using them on a second machine will use one extra activation, out of 10.
  13. Adding memory that was not matched at the factory is always going to be hit or miss. It might work but it might not.
  14. I am sure there are better choices out now, since I have had it for a couple of years, but I am very happy with the 40" 4k in my sig.
  15. Define affordable. Everyone has a different budget/threshold. Btw, I will be waiting for an ASUS or Zotac solution. I wouldn't use an MSI card if it was free.
  16. I think ED has been quite clear that their goal is Vulcan implementation and not DX12. I doubt they have the resources and manpower to develop both.
  17. I will consider it, assuming that I can buy the grip without a base.
  18. You aren't riding a bicycle. As others have said, this is the way an aircraft works.
  19. The OP was about the survivability in such a situation. My point was that it does not matter within the context of the game/sim.
  20. I have not, personally, reached that point. However, over the years, there have been numerous posts that indicate that it works as specified. It applies to all modules using the 'old' Starforce activation system, both ED and third party sourced products.
  21. 1. This update is for the OB. Is that what you are running? 2. DCS only checks once, every 24 hours, for an update.
  22. It is worth noting that those buttons are unassigned in a Suite 3 A-10C. For this reason there are no standard assignments within DCS.
  23. Wasn't the introduction of LUA.DIFF files supposed to eliminate this type of issue?
  24. If the sim does not support the pilot being an active player/participant after ejection, then it is not relevant (to the sim) whether you could survive or not.
