Not the double dashes :) ... I said it works. Is just looking strange from the other description.lua files with those "arg" lines like it is something about animated textures or something. But, if it looks ok for you too... then so be it. I made all the F86 cockpit mods work with it so... Cool!
-
I think everybody dumps them and I'm not sure is something they don't want. Like iLOVEwindmills said, use http://imgur.com/ It works... for now. But keep copies of your best pics on something else too... like an expanded google drive etc.

Does anyone has a better Description.lua file for F86F? The cockpit mods for this plane are "old style" so they don't integrate into the new dropdown list from the Special tab for F86. I tried to build one with this tool: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1744284/ but the result is a bit strange: it's true that it works... but all those arg lines...

"guncamera" type of camera to pop up movies for missions and campaigns

yes and I though a "guncamera" thingie would do the trick with scenes made on the fly (sic) within the game engine. -
"guncamera" type of camera to pop up movies for missions and campaigns
zaelu replied to zaelu's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think I meant something else than what you are talking about. :) -
I think it would add some atmosphere if we had a "guncamera" type of camera (the one existing in game now) to pop up movies for missions and campaigns. it can be either a player for simple mp4 movies or in game - in engine footage cleverly made with units that pop into existence only for this purpose... fo a little play that can be used as intro into a mission or even during the mission. I know some aspects would be not fully realistic but hey might add to atmosphere greatly. Obviously size, placement, effects on that "window" would be nice to be editable.

You can disable it and make it be just a brief moment when you can't operate your zoom slider axis. It gives you a small anxiety attack every time :) You need to set your default FOV and maximum FOV to be the same. Today is harder because IC prevents you from modifying the view.lua or server.lua files without falling out of IC.

Errr.... Now this could be interesting... because we could use moderd stuff to intercept... SAMs or Fighters. V2? :)
-
much simpler to deploy. You can easily create mods packs with ovgme... ready to be installed from a server directly. I used JSGME before for many games. OVGME is just blowing it out of the water. You just need to use it.

that's old. Probably they work on a F104... or F16 :P

+1 with this. when you pass -3 expect shaking and act. If it happens fast don't expect... react. smoothly but promptly. And expect everything to need attention, not just collective ;) . I consider generators failure annunciator as a gentle reminder to not repeat that. @fargo007 Here is on huge mistake (jump to 1:26). You can see I hesitate as the sink rate stays a bit at -3 but I forgot I had cargo bellow me, at -5 I still was hoping it will calm down as I was already out of transition and thought it will get into hover sooner or later. Year right... PS after a huge frak up... don't fight the spin. You eat power if you do. Let her bite you a bit... she's just mad... :)

GTX 1070 prices through the roof!

I am not mining at all but I gladly sacrifice my dreams for a new VGA for this "revolution" to take place. -
Yes, keep the photos/videos coming!

Mig 21 has several commands set up default with different combinations of keys that the whole rest of the aircrafts (not sure why as it is really confusing). I think the default key for Mig21 (obviously I changed mine to the usual Alt+' ) is , (comma) or . (dot)... iirc...

I observed something similar Devrim. Also zip files made by OvGME are not always "openable" by my 7zip. I didn't gave more importance though... lack of time,

Sounds awesome!

Esac_mirmidon can you fly Ka-50 like Holbeach said with AFCS off? He said to you that it doesn't matter if SAS AFCS is on or off in gazelle. And I have Ka-50 and NO I can't fly it like you said. Granted I have a FFB joystick and is hard to do it because they are imperfect. Also I think Ka-50 autopilot is a different beast than that little AFCS on Gazelle.

You mean building it with future VPC own base in mind would be illogical? Or the competition? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=186720 Moaning? I don't moan. I said I don't buy. Is that simple. If one producer doesn't care, is only its problem not mine.

I don't own and don't plan to buy TMW. Any limitations that HOTAS has are not important for me and probably for others like me.

For me that think is simply a "decider" option". If you don't add it and the "other T50 "replica" adds some options and that CMS thumb is the difference... sorry. Makes no sense for me to have one button when you can have 5 there. On your stick I like the palm rest, the pinky position (but now I think you could also have 2 buttons there... one like yours and one like "the other T50 replica"). I will also wait for what you have in plans for later... I hope you don't go too far from T-50. :joystick:

Heh! I also thought about this :p I like it!

Very good!! Any chance for a modification of this so each final command can be assigned to an individual joystick button? I know is the complete opposite ut maybe is not difficult. My aim is to have virtual joystick buttons that are assigned to final commands and those buttons (single virtual buttons) be activated by voice commands. So people could put some or all commands to voice commands but without the complete hassle the current menu navigation is. So if I just want the commands for ground crew and 1st wingman to be on voice commands it would be easiest. Thank you!

Agree. I am slowly stashing money but when I will buy one I want to be well informed. Better than pictures. Reviews etc.

Try deactivating first if you can. Go here: \DCS World\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21BIS\bin or here \DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\bin and run the program called: pcnsl.exe it will start something like this: Select Activate or Deactivate and press NEXT Probably Windows will ask for Administrative Confirmation... Say yes Run etc Now the program will look like this: Click the small word "Deactivate" that is underlined like a link!! The program will look like this: Now press Deactivate! If successful it will say how many activations and deactivations you have left. Remember: Do this only for one DCS World installation if you have more than one. No need to repeat for each!! This only gives you back one activation. Nothing more. Is not a game breaker if it fails or you can't do it. Also DON"T run other pcnsl.exe executables from other locations!!! They are for the other modules!! So don't deactivate wrong module! After you sorted this part you can be sure of this: Either you have successfully deactivated Mig21Bis and even if you have it installed it will not work because you don't have it activated or You fail to do that and you will lose an activation but you will continue to clean the install anyway. Then. To uninstall the module you need to go in DCS World 1.5 and 2.0 and IGNORE by clicking exit any prompt to reactivate Mig21 you just deactivated. Just click exit or the X of the window until it goes for good and the game will start. Go to Module manager by clicking the icon on top left with squares Find Mig21Bis and uninstall it by clicking the trash bin. Do this for all DCS World installations if you have more than one. Now you have DCS World installations believing Mig21Bis is no installed anymore. Now if you start the game it will not ask you anymore for activation but if you go to Module Manager it will prompt you to install it. Obviously you DON'T do this for now!! Now with all DCS World closed go to \DCS World\Mods\aircraft and if you have \DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\ and if you have \DCS World 2 OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\ and DELETE MIG-21BIS folder. Just delete it to Recycle Bin to be safe but delete it from all installs. If you didn't found a MIG-21BIS folder then the un-installation worked completely at previous step. Now you have: 1. Mig21Bis Deactivated 2. Mig21Bis uninstalled and deleted from your game and hard drives Moving on. Now run that reg file provided in first post iirc. Say Yes when Windows asks if you are sure blah blah. After you ran it do a check by pressing Start Button and type (blindly... it will search) regedit You will see one single programm suggested: regedit Start it by clicking on it. Windows will ask for Confirmation as an admin... Say YES. Once started regedit make sure all folders/hives are closed and then just click to expand the ones indicated in the picture bellow: If you still have informations inside if you click the containing folders/hives it means that probably your Deactivation either failed or succeeded but failed to remove the data from your Registry Example of mine. I painted red what info I have because my Mig21 is activated but yours should be completely blank So you need to clean up and delete the DCS:MiG-21 BiS folder/hive by right clicking it and selecting delete: After you did this you can collapse back the hives so they are nw all closed and open the next ones like in the picture bellow: At second click pick the first folder/hive with long name! You shouldn't have a Mig21Bis folder!! Just check. If all done you can now close the Regedit program! Now you have the following: 1. Mig21Bis Deactivated 2. Mig21Bis uninstalled and deleted from your game and hard drives 3. You deleted any left over activation data (remember that activation is one for all DCS World Installations... Alpha, Beta, Release Now you can restart the PC to be sure that the Registry are reloaded from scratch... Nothing should happen to your PC or DCS World if you followed correctly these instructions! After you have restarted you need to do a DCS World CleanUP! First make sure you uninstall all the mods you might have because clean-up does almost the same as repair but instead of looking for corrupted files it looks for files that are not suppose to be there! Now find a shortcut on your desktop for DCS World and copy it on same place. Right click it... select copy... then right click the desktop and select paste. Voila! Edit the name from DCS World - Copy to DCS World Cleanup Right click it and select properties: Now all you need to do is to add at the end of the first line cleanup like in the picture bellow... Don't change your path obviously... you have yours, I have mine, just ad cleanup at the end. Now press OK on the window and it will be saved. Now you can start the cleanup by just double clicking that shortcut you edited. Let it run. At the end if it finds files that were not suppose to be in DCS World folder... it will ask you what to do with them. Select the Backup option and you can find them for reviewing in one BACKUP001 folder inside your DCS World root folder. Now! If you have multiple DCS World Installs is best to this cleanup for all. So create similar shortcuts for Alpha and Beta if you have and execute them. So now we have: 1. Mig21Bis Deactivated 2. Mig21Bis uninstalled and deleted from your game and hard drives 3. You deleted any left over activation data (remember that activation is one for all DCS World Installations... Alpha, Beta, Release 4. DCS World Folder(s) clean up of any unwanted files that might mess up with DCS Mig21 Bis Activation Now you can run the updater for all DCS World installs. One after the other and don't accept to install any DCS Mig21 if any of them prompts you. It shouldn't ask for activation! NONE! After you have updated DCS World installations make sure you don't have any temporary USB devices connected... bluetooth dongles, internet dongles, cameras with wireless, whatever. Also virtual machine software... Now you can go to DCS World 1.5 and in module manager install DCS Mig21Bis Restart DCS World and it will ask you to activate. Activate! All should work. Now you can install DCS Mig21Bis on the rest of DCS World Installs. END I hope I didn't miss anything... I need to go to work now :)

Cool, thanks!
