  1. Ah, well there goes that theory... be nice to track down why it works on some and not others. Glad you hopefully have a workaround, rather than having to assign them all in controls.
  2. That is odd, mine worked straight away just like the A-10C. Basically plug and play as someone else mentioned. I leave my Cougar MFD's plugged in all the time so they were already to go when I installed the module. Do you leave yours plugged in? Just a thought.
  3. Meh... it's early access. I hope they take their time getting functions working correctly. Rather have a functional AP system in a month or two or three than something buggy today.
  4. All that and developing an A/G radar for the first time.
  5. Wow, what a lot of work, thanks for sharing. Really appreciate it.
  6. Thank you guys, now for some more reading... :book:
  7. Awesome, looking forward to it BD. Happy New Year.

Ah, axis curves... I use linear for roll and then see the post below for pitch. Vladinsky set it up to simulate the throw of the joystick. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3334596&postcount=140
  9. I use the ports on my dedicated, don't know if on-board would work. TBH, I never thought about that... Already have a second set of Cougar MFD's on the shelf waiting for CF-18,looking forward to it.
  10. High drag SE or Ballutes = CCIP, Level flight, 450-500 Knots at 500-600 feet max. Not the safest delivery method but the most fun...

Force feedback should be off (pretty sure your stick isn't FFB). As for control setup I'm afraid that will be up to how you prioritize your available buttons. For example if you have TrackIR you can re-purpose your view hat for both trim and TDC for example. I would recommend the AP disconnect button on a readily accessed button. Read through the manual :book: and try to replicate the real HOTAS as best you can and leave the rest to the Keyboard. Remember you can fiddle with your controls while flying to try different things out and make adjustments. Good luck. :joystick:
  12. But wouldn't that amount of saturation limit my aft range of pitch? Or, make it very abrupt? If I understand correctly the physical forward throw of the stick is just a few inches (3 or 4) but the aft movement is much greater (12-14). So you would want to keep aft along the normal linear path and the fwd much more vertical. Just a layman's perception could be right out of whack...
  13. Thanks Vladinsky. So this simulates the shorter fwd pitch throw of the real stick? I'll give it a try when I get home.
  14. Look at it like a DLC for game you already own, perhaps that helps it make more sense.
  15. I use a side stick setup for my HOTAS since the F-16 is my primary sim :D so a stick extension would be impractical. Curves address that issue.
  16. I'm surprised at the number of people who discounted the pocket guide. It should be the first thing you read through and it does highlight what is working or is WIP. Not to mention it was out weeks before the release for pre-reading. I guess some just want to jump in and "do stuff" without learning how... To each their own.
  17. I agree, if you already have the AV-8B N/A you can pick up the + version for 50% off otherwise it would be full price.
  18. Redkite does a video demo on how to take off with a heavy load. Key is hitting the STO stop to 60 deg just before you run out of deck. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3328292&postcount=2
  19. I've now set mine to 15 (pitch & roll), I was trying without curves initially but this seems to working well for me. Could be a combination of adding curves and early practice w/o curves but I can plug in and tank in one go now. I'm using the KC-130 to practice. Still struggling with doing a hover landing on a moving ship like Maverick's demo, we'll get there... I hope. :joystick:
  20. Thanks for the video, nicely done with great explanations.
  21. Thanks. Sits on my kneeboard (AKA iPhone) checklists.
  22. I think they are place holders for options to perform INS alignment, you can set it to start already aligned for example. ( Once INS is implemented. ) They have something similar in the Mirage.
  23. Lol'd so loud the wife had to see it to... thanks, that was a funny video. Nice music as well.
  24. Very nice. Love the skin.
