PIMAX Monster 12k, Eyes tracking, INSIDE OUT and Much more !!
agrasyuk replied to ICARIVS's topic in Virtual Reality
It looks like they intend to track the eyes and present higher detailed image on the exact spot you looking at. This way part of the picture you not focusing on can be rendered cheaper -

The grips on TEDAC, how do they actuate? I suppose they pitch up and down controlling gun elevation. But how is the gun rotated? Does the entire TEDAC unit rotate like american armor turret controller ( steering wheel like)? Or does it yaw like turret control in russian tanks? How much does it deflect?

Comes down to what you can : 1. Fit on your desk. 2. Fit for your wallet. I'd say you can barely have "to big" of a monitor, even for a secondary. If a 22" fits the workstation/simpit I'd go with that. If you can go with bigger, go with bigger. You will find what to render on it. All sorts of auxiliary keypads come to kind, once you get one extra monitor you will want a other one. Good luck

Curious to see how you envision such a device. -
Looking for Advice on PC Upgrade Direction
agrasyuk replied to Specter1075's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That answer is always same: get the latest generation, best CPU that you can afford. If you can afford i5 level than that's the best that you can have. Have a bit extra $ for i7 or i9? that's your CPU then. Just keep in mind the diminishing returns. If you need to purchase right now 11th series Intel CPUs are it. If you can wait few month you will be able to get the 12th series (or is it out already?). I'm not going to address offering by AMD. I do not see DCS requiring more than 32gb of RAM as of today. If you have use for extra RAM like heavy editing, software development, etc. or have extra cash, go for it. Good luck. -
switching to a different component obviously it means a redesign, so I don't insist,. "I'm going to be wiring soon." PCBs save tremendous amount of time and in my case (since my attention span can be less than ideal) prevent mistakes. I'm using 3x6x2.4 SMT tactile switches (LEDs are mounted nearby). this allows for minimal profile hight, but pretty much requires use of custom PCBs. I have my old CDU attempt with exact switches you using, I decided that I like the tactile feel more than the long travel. going forward it you want a custom PCB you can send me a DXF with outline, part placement and any holes. it takes some time to get them , yes. we can chat more in private if you interested. good luck!

I don't usually preorder stuff, but when I do it's the AH-64 from ED.

Hi Viper, So with yesterdays announcement in mind, In what state is your work on the AH-64 collective handle ? looks like it's already hollowed and split. Is this something I can order from you printed (post processing I will take on myself) at this point? I don't think I need all the detail parts or the base, just the handle, I think I can accomplish the rest. Thanks! -
Hello and welcome. In my opinion "misunderstanding/disagreement on merits and entitlements" is much more close to what transpired rather then "commercial plagiarism". But I'm not going to argue. At any rate it's a shame that we didn't get to see that trainer in action. maybe someday. To your question, Free, plans released by Lynxdk: http://lynx.dk/downloads/a-10c-plans-blueprints/ Not free - plans by this gentelman: https://forums.eagle.ru/profile/8694-stang/ Stang can also be found on FB DCS cockpits group . There is another author/seller and resource that I'm failing to bookmark every time I'm stumbling upon it. maybe someone will chime in good luck on your build! make sure to share your progress.

Emergency panel . still need to cut vinyl yellow striping. turned the manual reversion knob out of Derlin plastic and used it atop the guarded NKK switch instead of the factory handle. the thread on those NKKs is M7-0.75 if anyone is curious. This panel came out really good to my liking so I decided to splurge for proper switches Few updated pictures: UFC with a TrackIR holder, new pedal "podium", corner piece for the right console. wireless track ball mouse, why didn't I think of that earlier...

radio display PCBs are finally here. "tolerance" Electrical Panel. More pictures under spoiler and for the fun of it, my electrical panel from almost 10 years ago
-
The level of effort is obviously great and the end result is impressive. with that I feel that it leaves a lot of room for improvement. Those panels would have come out much better if you simply paper printed them out and laminated to a piece of ply/acrylic. there is never a need to 3d print something that can be cut and drilled out of a flat stock. . yes, yes, I know. "I fly in VR so I don't care how it looks"... oh well.

Great job. And I love those shop photos. no idea how you manage to keep everything that neat. -
I just wanted to emphasize this part as It it is the most important part and it's almost getting lost in the long post. Thanks in advance

NMSP. 3d printed button and indicator housings. CMSP controlled from single arduino mega pro (the "mini" mega)I'm using SLG2016 for top row and HCMS2903 for bottom row. After several hours of pain, retracing and adopting code I got both rows to work. Brightness is for now not adjustable, I'm not sure what to do about the non uniform brightness of the bottom row. But the end result is usable. Still need to code for the DCS-BIOS interface. More Pictures under spoiler
-
ok I'll play then. my CMSC script. designed to drive HCMS-2973 displays I do have links to pair of repositories, but they are owned by active members here. I'll leave it up to theese members to chime in with their work if they deem necessary.
