https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/dcs-bios This is the maintained DCS BIOS branch. It doesn't have equivalent of Hub application, it uses SOCAT instead. My normal workflow was: code and program arduino boards on my desktop PC with the legacy BIOS version, and connect to dedicated flight PC running the latest Flightpanels version of BIOS. Worked fine until this weekend, I still haven't resolved the issue. @No1sonuk Curious do you have your DCS BIOS solution operational after the Thursday update? Can I bother you for a screenshot of your SOCAT console while it is running?

What interface are you referring to? Are you using flightpanels version of DCSBIOS? Will be watching this thread since I also started experiencing connectivity issues this weekend. Chrome monitoring dev-app has connectivity, game parameters are visible. SOCAT connects, I see data lines moving. But there is no response on the Arduino flashed with a simple master caution script. The reason I looked at it is that my A10 CMSC stated showing corrupt characters Friday. It would load proper text initially, but then slowly characters will get corrupt . I suspected faulty RS485 chip and attempted to troubleshoot that by connecting via serial, It almost looks like SOCAT is corrupting the message. I've yet to resolve

Universal military aircraft homecockpit project
agrasyuk replied to Viper1970's topic in Home Cockpits
Have you considered building a collapsible paint booth?. exhaust out the window directly, or ducted. Doesn't have to be huge. Scale model guys have some really neat solutions for crumped spaces. Yes you will loose some house heat to the outside. After painting is done fan can be switched to low setting - keeps up with the residual fumes like that and stealing less heat. -
Using a projector and screen
agrasyuk replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm using pair of 1080P short throw projectors on Curved 180FOV screen + 27" screen for instruments. in my opinion this is an ideal setup if one has room and $. I would love to have a 3 beamer,270 FOV setup but this one is very usable. "But VR!!!" Yes, I tried VR, about 8 hours in Rift S. I prefer my setup by far, sold the Rift. "but how do you look up and back?!" Track IR. works great "Easy to make" requirement will depend on your skill level. my first screen I attempted to adhere a proper screen material ($$$) onto curve hardboard. after some time the material wrinkled creating streaks that killed the immersion. maybe I used bad adhesive. Current screen is a paint-on , mix of neutral grey and a reflective component. the exact proportions will depend on which light conditions you attempting to optimize the painted screen for (i.e. more white if you are in dark room and so on). shortcomings - 1. pixel density. after all you are stretching and curving a 1080P image. 4K short throw beamers do exist, but unfortunately (or maybe actually fortunately) they are 3500$ a pop, out of my budget and have slightly less throw ratio which means they cannot be used with my 7.5' diameter screen. 2. calibration is tricky and WILL test your patience guaranteed. 3. Drift. over time projectors can get misaligned requiring step # again. summary: this is the 2nd. best solution that you can possibly have. right after full cockpit plus that 8000$ augmented reality headset. -

I didn't print the cyclic yet either. As for your PC cases it almost seems that you would really appreciate it being in a piece of furniture. I built mine into a retractable shelf. One above for DCS client, additional shelf below for upcoming server. Still need to make faceplate . I can also fit a proper U rack mount enclosure. -
All I can say is I've seen an SPO for FC3 built before. Can't come up with a link to the topic. Sorry not much help. Pretty certain it wasn't exposed via Helios so it must have been some creative scripting.

great looking prints. don't be in hurry to paint - you can start sanding and patching and then paint properly. I feel you on impatience though. Not only it's to cold to paint in my garage I also can't laser anything - the water is the cooling bucket is a big blob of ice -
Extending the backlight bus. Some light bleed to be fixed.

Well that's the thing, it is not possible to be on tight budget and extremely picky at the same time. You will need to compromise somewhere. As for the angle they indeed may be slanted IRL. But you need them to be usable and conform to your build. What kind of build are you planning to fit into your "no space at all" situation? Waiting for pictures of the finished product as well .

Preview of the F-16 throttle grip on the Orion base
agrasyuk replied to MustangSally's topic in Winwing
Let me know if you want to sell the grip -
I'd say build it around single screen . LCDs can be found very cheap used from craiglist or other listings

Actual ARC164 device while only displaying numerals still uses 14seg displays . I attempted to get closer to the real one I'm still exploring options on how to drive, for now busy with different item. PCB is designed to have transistor driving each of the common anodes. Connection header exposes the unit as 8x16 LED matrix. F

thank you for the reply. Price looks to be right, but I will skip - it looks like the biggest change in the newer version is few degrees more of FOV. And FOV was the biggest single gripe I had with my Rift S, so I'm ok to pay bit more for that. good luck!

for my UHF Radio I went with these : https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Lite-On/LTP-3862G?qs=gnaPJ2cis70NSLLDN2qJAw%3D%3D I would have proffered common cathode model, but it is unfortunately out of sock. I cannot yet share a sketch. will be driving this as 8x16 LED matrix

I'm interested in the headset. This is the V1 right? (Should have read the title , dough...) Let me see what is the difference between this and the V2. Do HP HMDs come with Controllers?

Printed Circuit Board for F/A-18C UFC (PCB for PCFlights-UFC)
agrasyuk replied to Purzel's topic in Home Cockpits
Likewise. I didn't reply because I don't understand the question -
Metal seat is definitely possible. If I had a need for one (as in a "had a gun against my head to make one") I probably would be able to design and manufacture something that resembles the actual thing. But I don't think you can expect any kind of savings doing that. That would be "I want an ultra nice thing and my wallet doesn't care how much it going to cost" category of a project . good luck!

I'd say don't stop here

No offence taken and you have eyed the slope perfectly - it is indeed non rectangular. SAS as well as the upgraded IFF panel. Reason is to accommodate composite angles of my console -the outer row is tilted towards the pilot and is converging towards the top. as you can see I applied a bit of creative license to my panel arrangement. this picture might demonstrate the angles of the railing better

Thanks man. I was about ready to jump out of the window near the end with all these stickers SAS device with a channel to handle the magnetic EAC switch from LASTE panel if anyone want's I have 4 more PCBs for this device. yours at cost
