  1. Octopus G is the developer that's hurt the most by the lack of assets
  2. Historically in the late 1980s and 1990s the F-4G worked with an F-16 killer. Right now you can issue a follow command however I do agree a mixed flight would be nice
  3. I would love to have the sea Harrier if possible we have the falklands.
  4. If there is enough information for an early super hornet, I'd buy it. In the mean time this is on my wishlist for AI assets which is published by Janes btw
  5. I'd also like to see the addition of a rescue hoist, and AI that is smart enough to use it
  6. On some two seaters this would be a realistic option (F-4E, F-15E)
  7. I'd love to have nation specific load-outs if possible
  8. Unless it's a community module, this simply ain't going to happen. This looks like an F-22N which was the proposed carrier variant. As it never got past the design phases there is 0 information. The best someone could do is use available F-22 information and then build an entirely hypothetical flight model.
  9. Awesome it would be nice to see some CVEs and CVLs in DCS
  10. Why not toss in infinite fuel as well? Until the rearm and refuel is all fixed, this would be nice
  11. I've seen estimates that the military expends about 45,000 rounds per every enemy killed.
  12. I have and they don't have all the common controls for example you can't move the target cursor nor is there one for the collective or wheel brakes
  13. I'd love to have a 1980s / 90s scenario with the UH-1, AV-8, A-7, A-6, and one or 2 Iowa-class battleships
  14. I want more controls added- Left throttle, right throttle, wheel break, hand break, trim, TDC slew, collective, engine controls for the warbirds and maybe even a wizard
  15. That's up for the mission designer to figure out, I'm just asking for the option
  16. My request with the generic profile has been the most common command and not just universal. Anyway all of the most important commands are universal if not the most common, get those mapped and you can jump to the module-specific commands and settings. The first thing I do when I after installing a new module is fly a free flight mission
  17. This sounds like a challenge for the community modders. There are very few prototypes and what-if which I think would meet ED's requirements to become official mods. For example the Super Tomcat 21, never went beyond a paper proposal. However the F-20 or F-111B at least made it to the prototype stage and the avionics of at least one of the two were used in a different plane so there might be enough data. The next issue is if there is desire
  18. Why not have a default profile which DCS will automatically populate controls from?
  19. In the past I have posted that ED needs to improve the system. The first step would be to implement two new profiles "common helicopter" and "common plane" this would add the most common controls for the different modules pitch, yaw, roll, right throttle, left throttle, toe brakes, brake lever, target cursor, trigger weapon release. Though it might even make sense to further divide the profiles into (possibly user defined) control families.
  20. Not if ED implements a version test. If the feature gets implemented unless it is already there DCS would need to add a line like "Created with DCS ver X" then when DCS looks at the profiles for the first time it would automatically convert them if the tag isn't there and add the "created by DCS updated". There is a lot a computer program can do if you tell it to do it
  21. I'd love to have more voices as well as the option to do voice mods
  22. I know there a few times when I just want a mission with some heavy machine guns forming part of an ambushing force.
  23. As I said you use mods at your own risk. There's a big difference between saying "ED doesn't want mods" and saying "users use mods at their own risk". The simple fact ED provides information about modding DCS and even has a section on the forum about modding DCS https://forum.dcs.world/forum/69-dcs-modding/ Indicates that ED expects to see the community mod DCS. However as I said before, you use a mod at your own risk as they won't provide debugging support to the mod as that would be the responsibility of the mod developer. As it can be hard to get accurate information for modern red for we're left with export planes like the JF-17 and the Peace Pearl prototype and 1980s models like the Fulcrum A as being the only official flyable options. The bar is lower for AI since we don't need the interface I'd be shocked if this goes any place
  24. users can and do mod DCS, it's just a use at your own risk situation. The issue is simple, ED won't put something in DCS without enough information and it's hard to get up-to-date information on RedFor equipment.
  25. Thar bar needs to be added ASAP
