  1. Since when are user guides supposed to supercede official documentation?
  2. Hi guys, I have a question for Razbam regarding INS alignment while we're on a ship. I know the Early Access Harrier starts pre-aligned, so at the moment my question is a bit useless, but I was wondering... how will the SINS (Sea INS) be implemented? I read in the Harrier manual that either a SINS cable is connected to the aircraft (which could be done with the Ground Crew radio menu) or it is done with SINS RF (low power radio datalink). Will all options be available? How do you intend to simulate those features? Thanks in advance!
  3. CloD career... Riiight... I remember you and your numerous FM threads on multiple forums and your banishment from them. https://steamcommunity.com/app/63950/discussions/0/540744935716541317/?l=german I think I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt.
  4. @BlacleyCole I don't really have an interest in doing guides for those subjects, sorry. Chaps at the MOOSE project do it much better than me already ;) Also: Updated Spitfire and P-51 guides with overall improvements and a new section on supercharger operation.
  5. Where exactly? On the 17/12/2015 revision it looks fine for me. The arrows with no description simply mean that there is no control mapped to that particular button.
  6. Very very much so. :)
  7. I couldn't get it working on neither Georgia, NTTR or Normandy...
  8. I'm working on it ;)
  9. Outstanding, as always. What's the name of the music track used, out of curiosity? I have a Thomas Bergersen/Two Steps from Hell vibe.
  10. I haven't dared to press the "Print" button yet... http://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides/
  11. Still having this issue with google chrome as of today.
  12. Hurray! I hope this will make the next ED patch! Hopefully the radios and ACP functionalities can follow soon after ;)
  13. Good luck indeed! I admire your dedication to this project.
  14. Very nice and useful initiative! Personally, I would use the distance in both km and nautical miles since most western aircraft use the imperial system (with the exception of the Viggen which uses swedish miles) and most russian aircraft use the metric system.
  15. Updated Mirage guide. There could still be some small mistakes but so far, I think I should have the following up-to-date: -Nav tutorials -Magic II and Super 530 tutorials -Air-to-Air gun procedure updated -Air-to-Air refueling switch updated -Typos fixed
  16. Three of us ran into this very issue in multiplayer today.
  17. Honestly... I think it's a brilliant idea. Bringing the Thunderjet back to life certainly piques my interest.
  18. Hi Zero, As others have mentioned already, preset flight plans can be loaded without having to enter each waypoint coordinate manually. 1) First, you have to create the flight plan waypoints via the mission editor. 2) After, you must insert the data cartridge in the aircraft as shown in page 39 step 2 of my guide 3) After, you must tell the plane to load the contents of the data cartridge you just inserted as shown in page 42 steps 25 to 29 4) And there you go, all your waypoints should be accessible. The section you mentioned in chapter 13 is to add waypoints on top of your preset flight plan. It's a subtle distinction.
  19. Currently learning it myself... if there is too much missing or WIP stuff, doing a guide on the Harrier may provide negative training, I may have to wait a bit more. We'll see.
  20. Planning to work on the update during the holidays. So far, the major things to update are: 1) Weapon Procedures 2) HUD update 3) VTB update 4) Navigation system tutorial 5) Typos If you guys spot anything else, please let me know. Sure. Err... No, it isn't.

  22. @Dolphin: Will it get fixed in the next patch?
  23. Updated UH-1 guide with EGT limits implemented with latest Belsimtek update.
  24. I think we can both agree that pretty much every province in Canada has some industry that needs saving; it's been like that for as long as I can remember. However, it's not my place to judge what kind of job or industry is more important than the other. In Quebec and Ontario Aerospace is a big part of our economic force. Jobs aren't limited to Bombardier employees; they also include suppliers that are very likely to go out of business if Bombardier shuts down. Same goes for maintenance and training centers. In Montreal alone... http://www.montrealinternational.com/en/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2013/11/Publication_Greater-Montr%C3%A9als-Aerospace-Industry-Map_2012.pdf Of course, I'm probably more passionate about this since I work in that field.
  25. Millions in grants and loans... now do you want to compare that to what GM and Chrysler got from Ontario? (3.7 billions) Or do you want to compare that to what Boeing got from the US government? There hasn't been a single aviation company that hasn't benefited from government money in one way or another, including Boeing. The Airbus vs Boeing saga in the 787 vs A350 legal case was the exact same thing. I simply refuse the "Bombardier should've been left to die because they received government funding" argument. It's funny how some people have some sort of double-standard regarding certain things. The US Trade Association has made a bad call and lo and behold, Airbus got a brand new developed plane that's competitive for free. Literally. Boeing got greedy and wanted to eliminate Bombardier, plain and simple. That's thousands of canadian jobs and the world's third most important aerospace hub reduced to a whole lot of nothing. The Canadian government responded in kind and I have absolutely no remorse (apart from the pilots who will still operate outdated planes) to see this contract go to ANYONE but Boeing for now. https://globalnews.ca/news/3773916/bombardier-boeing-subsidies/
