  13. it's of lod with less features. you're doing a mod that is not intended for the base model.

  18. correct, this is an ED bug. The P-51 does the same. Something about static and AI planes is funky.
  19. No guys; I may be wrong, but the destroyed model didn't make the release.
  20. 266,667 triangles. Quite honestly, after all the tests, it appears it's the amount of materials (not textures) I am using on the external model. A cockpit averages in the 250K range, so my external really has no affect if you switch to external view. However, the external model is completely enabled when inside the cockpit. So now it's up to nearly 500K triangles. Right now, I've added proper visibility arguments on parts that can't be seen within the cockpit. Along with that, I've been busy creating proper a Lod0 and 1, while Cobra works on Lod2, 3 and 4. The release versions were just temporary for ED testers. I can't compare to ED's A-10C anymore. Last time I saw 202K-ish triangles on their model, back in v1.2.7. Now it's down to 165K Anyways, if you missed my other post, here is what I'm doing. I think the internal pit will be done similar.   22. Yes, that's one of ED's place holder models until Cobra can get our mascot mustache manly man to work :D
  23. VRAM is not quite the main issue also though It's the amount of materials used (not textures). Cobra did a quick test with less materials and saw an improvement with FPS. I'm now going to try condensing to 3 main materials. This means, FUSE_F/M/R/T will be on one texture, and the WING_L/R, and other bits on another. We'll test it out and go from there.
  24. Thanks for the compliments; it's very reassuring I can continue for our next project. I would like to make clear that Cobra is the cockpit guru for this project though. That's all him. I'm strictly external. ;) We had Track-IR limits, but had a few complaints about restrictions. It's not so much the external model, but it's the materials used. We're aware of visibility for parts and it has been corrected so far. Between the avionics and 3d stuff, everything is fighting for CPU/GPU priorities, and our coders have been setting those too. I'm waiting to buy my next when their mainline cards utilize 6GB. It's close! I don't want to buy another two Titans..lol Though 24GB total VRAM would be nice for my work station
  25. IIRC, it did not make the release because of our canopy issue. I have it disabled until the canopy is surely fixed. When the covers are displayed, the actual canopy, cockpit, etc becomes invisible to help with FPS
