  1. Thank you, we'll look into this ✌
  2. Sorry for your problems guys. You absolutely need to keep an eye on oil and cylinder head temperatures now. That oil temp gauge is hard to see. Perhaps we can add a menu option or a key bind to have it swapped with the Climb gauge. Also, please don't compare it to the P-47D where 150 octane fuel was used on an R-2800-63W in the ETO. The F4U-1s used 130 Octane in the PTO, and an earlier version of the R-2800 series; the -8W Though, we will look into the robustness when over heated. 1LT King flew roughly 125mi from Brescia to Pisa after damage. Is there an official pilot flight log of this event? I want to know what happened before 1000 contacting Pisa airfield. How fast was he flying back home? What precautions did he use to keep the engine running?...though rough How fast was the oil leak? Was it gradual, or a huge burst?
  3. I just watched a stream, and saw this (screenshot from discord stream).....It seems that the new aspect ratio (in the mainpanelinit.lua) wasn't uploaded to ED's servers. We'll get this rectified. Also, this isn't texture related. ED's core programming for mirror rendering doesn't have everything rendering, unlike what is seen through the canopy glass. This is to save on performance. That is out of our control. What's seen in the reflection is the external model pilot and cockpit, so the quality will be less too. Visibility was corrected, according to ED's approach. The pilot automatically moving is also out of our control. Now....this it what people should be seeing
  4. Hi, can you attach a log file too?
  5. And for those that hate FB with updated info too
  6. Good day pilots! In yesterday's update, some may have noticed a slight change in the cockpit with the addition of a WEP master switch as used on some mid and late built F4U-1Ds. Attached is a screenshot from our WIP updated manual regarding its function. And be cautious; engine knock from excessive MAP with or without WEP will cause engine seizures. And there will be a very noticeable knocking sound from it. There is also a big improvement on the engine damage model. Pilots will now have to follow very carefully the limitations in place for the R2800-8W. Time limitations for different settings are realistically reproduced in our model along with temperature constraints. To help you out here is a small summary: Max continuous setting (max temp 232 Celsius) for unlimited time: 2550 RPM and 44’’ MAP for neutral 2550 RPM and 49.5’’ MAP’ for high and low. Military setting (max temp 260 Celsius) for max 30 minutes: 2700 RPM and 54’’ for neutral 2700 RPM and 53’’ for low 2550 RPM and 53’’ for high War emergency power (max temp 260 Celsius) for max 5 minutes: 2700 RPM and 57.5’’ for neutral 2700 RPM and 58.5’’ for low 2550 RPM and 58.5’’ for high The recommended altitudes and supercharger settings for operation with water injection are given: Level Flight Neutral — 0—8,000-feet Low — 8,000—17,000-feet High — 17,000—34,000-feet Climb Neutral — 0—4,000-feet Low — 4,000—14,000-feet High — 14,000—33,000-feet Other than that, a lot of graphical bugs were fixed and most importantly, the YE-ZB homing signal sectors have been fixed. Image is WIP and will most likely change.

  7. There will be changes coming to the wings' hydraulic system, so I haven't adjusted the animation yet.
  8. Give more details, post a video, post a log, post a track. Wee don't know what you did wrong just because temps are good.

  10. Another thing to note, we don't use the same WW2 damage system as ED as it's still in testing
  11. Not from us.
  12. Thanks guys...just keep in mind, It's not the bomb types I'm looking into. It's whether or not they have the 14-inch spaced lugs welded on the opposite side of the single lug. We already know 250 and 500 MCs were used, but if ED didn't model the required lugs on their bombs, we can't use them.
  13. We're still learning this VR stuff. Before, it was accomplished by just adding two items (helper dummies) in the 3d cockpit file, but over the years, it seems there were more added to the system unbeknownst to us. It also requires programming. We'll get to it, but the team is working on a higher F4U priority item now.
  14. I acknowledged it already...
  15. Once I have all the info from the programmers, I'll be making a small post update regarding WEP.
  16. It's happening to players too.
  17. hmm, we'll check this again.
  18. It should move, but not through the wing Already reported and fixed on our side.
  19. On July 16, it was mentioned on Facebook, that this fix would not be included. Edit in: And...I already acknowledged this in a few posts above on July 27th
  20. Please provide a track and log file.
  21. We'll look into it, thanks
  22. Some very talented pilots there, can you provide a track please?
  23. hmmm, thanks for reporting, we'll look this.
  24. I'll send this very sad post to our programmers.
