  1. Yes, I tested in the current DCS version. Main point to recreate the issue is to have a AV-8B that hasn't had the TPOD loaded or turned on. It's specific to when Sensor Select "double tap" is used to display the TPOD page and it hasn't been opened previously i.e via MPCD Menu > TGP > STBY > OPER This is a fresh mission If at any time previous, I had called up the TPOD page on the MPCD, the TPOD would have been initialised and would have worked normally. AV-8B TPOD Initialisation Bug rpt Dave62ndFF (with Fast Forward to bug), 2_7_5_10869.trk
  2. I'd say yes but you'll be using keyboard assignments for a lot of stuff i.e. TDC slew, depress/designate, etc., etc. If you haven't already, I suggest setting up your controls and testing the free Su-25T for a couple of hours before dropping the cash to buy the Harrier.
  3. Although the DCS Mi-24P models torque and weather cocking, and it is possible to run out of pedal authority, AFAIK it does NOT model LTE due main rotor vortices or tail rotor VRS due to crosswinds etc. This is an abridged version, for further detail check out page 147 - FAA-H-8083-21A, Helicopter Flying Handbook 2012
  4. Yeah, I see the same (Grenade + 12.7 fire together). AFAIK mission loadouts are saved with mission file, so • Instant Action>Mi-24P>Syria>Weapons Range ... was created with a incorrect loadout or (more likely ?) loadouts and the weapons system are still WIP. Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869 • DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Mi-24P\Missions\QuickStart\Mi-24P_SYR_IA_Weapons_Range.miz, 11/08/2021, 4,564 KB
  5. As SnuggleFairy said, it is NOT the default loadout, this is what the default looks like. Your version has added the GUV-1 AP30 to stations 2 + 5. If still uncertain you've edited the default loadout, you can remove any customisations by deleting • Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads\Mi-24P.lua (only created/exists for user loadouts and edits) There's a similar default loadout with 4x GUV-1 AP30 + 4x ATGM, perhaps you're thinking of that one ?
  6. Not sure about the other elements like the radio, etc. but turning the MPCD exports on and off is assignable (unbound by default) This is how the default "HUD only" view (LAlt+F1) looks with MPCD exports turned off: At a guess, "HUD only" view is expected to be used with a home cockpit/large screen and the MPCDs, radio elements, etc. repositioned to fit on secondary or tertiary screens. Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869
  7. TL;DR: • The main/tail rotors, have fixed speeds (unless rotor RPM falls due to load) • Increasing collective, increases the pitch of the main rotor's blades, increasing the rotation torque • This has to be compensated for by increasing the pitch of the tail rotor's blades, this is done using the anti-torque (rudder) pedals. Detail: The tail rotor is connected to the main rotor gearbox (not the engine) and like the main rotor, has a fixed speed (unless rotor RPM falls due to load). Increasing collective, increases the pitch/loading of the main rotor's blades, this would cause the Main Rotor RPM to drop, so the engine governor responds by increasing power to maintain the SAME rotor RPM. The increased pitch of the main rotor's blades also increase the rotation torque to be compensated for. As the tail rotor turns at a fixed RPM, increasing the tail rotor thrust has to be done by increasing the pitch of the tail rotor's blades. This is done by changing the position of the anti-torque (rudder) pedals.
  8. By default HOTAS > WP Increment = RWin+W I've added LWin+W and a button on my throttle as additional options.
  9. Did you bind the Left and Right MPCD "Export" keybinds in the controls settings (by default they are unbound and place the exported screens in the top left and right corners of the screen). Note: I don't have a multi-monitor setup, so it's just guess that they might be needed for exporting to a 2nd screen.
  10. This is not the heading of the aircraft. Syria, 2016 MagVar = +5°E [from HSI>Data>A/C] • The Super Carrier is travelling 220°T (215°M) [from F10 map, external info bar] • On the catapult, the aircraft heading is 214°T (209°M), this is also the heading shown by the info bar. 209°M is confirmed by the HUD's heading tape when in the catapult. Your programmed TACAN course is 214°M i.e. to the right of your current heading. This is how it looks diagrammatically
  11. Yes, see the text overlay at 1 min 23 sec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vhCVgJwMFw&t=83s There are currently ~79 community made Yak-52 skin packs in "User Files" https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-skin/unit-is-yak-52/apply/
  12. The 3D modelling and sounds seem on par with ED's other warbirds, it's just let down by some incomplete systems modelling and FM tweaks. I'm not sure what you mean by liveries as it only comes with a couple of Russian skins and other countries get bare metal, thankfully there are some good user made skins that fix ED's omission. With that said, I prefer the Yak-52 to the CE II in terms of finished quality, however I don't fly either of them very much. Obviously I don't represent the "community", so this very much just personal opinion: • It adds to DCS's limited "civil/training" roles but is not something I can easily recommend unless you "must" fly this class of plane and DCS is your preferred/only sim platform. • The free TF-51D is better in nearly all respects to the Yak-52 (other than ease of use) and was what I used for basic prop training (I had planned to buy a second copy but ED never finished the module). • If interested in buying the Yak-52, I suggest waiting for a sale as it has a limited role in DCS and is a very low priority in terms of ED's dev resources, etc.
  13. Quick Start Missions are listed under "Instant Action", that's why you can't find them in Missions. Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869
  14. IFF in it's common meaning doesn't effect you, the AV-8B Night Attack doesn't have a radar, so doesn't have an IFF interrogator to quiz other aircraft if there're friend or foe. It does have a IFF transponder to reply to interrogations from other aircraft but in DCS, that's coalition (Blue/Red) based and isn't modelled other than the panel being shown in the cockpit. IFF in the Harrier means - using the RWR, TPOD, eyes, F10 map/briefing, etc. to identify targets before opening fire.
  15. No, I like helping people and it gives me little puzzles to investigate/solve while keeping current with the Harrier. Please feel free to make a bug report linking back to this thread.
  16. I'm not sure why the Mariana map and Su-33 failed to authorise (In my log the Mariana map authorises and the Su-33 is skipped due to FC3). I do note from your log file that the Windows page file is smaller than I'd expect ... so suggest increasing it to 16384 MB or larger Windows 10 > Settings > search: performance > Adjust Appearance and Performance of Windows > Advanced [tab] > Virtual Memory --> CHANGE
  17. I see the same problem, it seems the TPOD isn't initialised properly when using SSS "double tap" to go from DMT TV to the TPOD page (after TPOD rearming and not used/loaded previously) i.e. it doesn't generate lat/long coordinates. Closing the TPOD page OPER --> STBY and opening it again, seems to fix the problem. Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869
  18. Unfortunately the TPOD functions correctly for me (using the keyboard for TDC slew, depress, etc.). Can you attach a track file, as it'll include your options, etc. Tested using DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869
  19. Do you own the "2D/Pop up Window" NS430 module and have it installed ("DCS World/Mods/aircraft/NS430") ? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430/ It's the core NS430 module and contains it's logic, database, Options>Special>NS430 GUI and 3D model. You can check the 2D module is installed and working by calling up the 2D window (default keybind "LShift+LAlt+B"). This is an example "Standalone" folder structure with base NS430 and L-39C, Mi-8 and Gazelle 3D modules installed.
  20. Strange, I see the discount after I log into the ED Store.
  21. All I can say is I bought the A-10C II "Tank Killer" upgrade on Steam and was able to link it to my ED profile. AFAIK if you log in to the ED store and check the A-10C "Tank Killer" price, you should see it discounted to $19.99 if the store recognises you already own the older A-10C i.e. have linked Steam to your store profile, etc. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/tank_killer/
  22. The .ogg sound files are found in the "DCS World\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Sounds\Effects" folder, you can play the different files to ID the warnings if uncertain.
  23. If you've been successful in the past, anything I suggest would just be guessing. I really need to see a track to help.
  24. Note: checking MGRS coordinates in the ME, the mouse cursor returns 37S and 37T prefixes in the "37" vertical strip i.e. north of 37T, 37U --> 37T. It may be that the AV-8B UFC is checking for 37T but a DCS function is misreporting. Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.5.10869
  25. No, the left position pressurizes the fuel system.
