The 'click-points' being offset can happen if you're using a non-native resolution...e.g. if your monitor is 1980x1080p and you run DCS at 1366x768 then it can cause problems. I'd be surprised if just installing a skin would break anything like that (assuming it was installed properly).

Was the artificial horizon really as bad as the one we have? Like others here I'm having trouble justifying un-caging it.

I can re-arm once i'm in-game but cannot add ordnance/extra fuel inside the ME.

There's a delay of a couple of seconds between commanding the gear to lower or raise and it actually happening. Is this intentional?

How about moving the engine limits placard to somewhere we can read it? Not even a die hard rivet-counter would complain about that, surely.....:music_whistling:

I try not to look down there....:noexpression: They'll fix it. The Mig-29 cockpit re-work arrived with similar problems but ended up OK.

It depends what you're flying over. Fingers crossed ED can fix the all-penetrating lighting.

There isn't a specific option for 'glare' but there's one for 'flare' - it's the lens flare you get from cameras and certain movie directors. That does look much better but it's still nowhere near strong enough. I had previously turned 'flare' off because I didn't want lens flare - I didn't think it would kill the entire effect. Can we at least have a sun-glare option (enforceable online) but without the Hollywood stuff attached?

Hiding in and attacking from the sun has been a staple of air combat since the beginning - the reason being the sun is blinding & uncomfortable to look at. But the DCS sun is just a dull disk offering zero tactical utility. Compare the first two screen-shots to the third (DCS). (This post might get edited or nuked because of the sin of comparison but the issue needs to be raised.)

HF, I only run missions from the ME (except ED official ones from their own menu) and those missions are really basic stuff - dogfight practice, weapons training, free flights....that I've created myself. 99% of the time there's no issue but for whatever reason DCS sometimes elects to include all the other stuff. One poster suggested that this happens when you use the 'Prepare Mission' function, which might be true, but I never use 'prepare mission' so it's still a mystery.

After you've manually adjusted them do they ever go back to automatic or do they remain manual?

Any chance to add gun-sight brightness & instrument brightness axes to the controls?

DCS is occasionally (randomly?) saving View.lua settings inside mission files so when you use that mission your custom views will not carry over beyond that mission. Try this - find the mission in which you were trying to save snap views and take a note of its size (in relation to other .miz files). If it's noticeably bigger then the mission is storing unwanted files and folders....including view settings. You can open the .miz with WinRar or whatever, delete the un-needed stuff, and then run it again.

Also, can the animation be smoother? The canopy sliding is very j-j-j-j-juddery. (same goes for all the WW2 canopy animations)

You land the plane safely. You want a fresh plane. But there's no obvious way to get one. Currently you have to either eject, go to the 'select role' menu and pick a different aircraft, or go back to the spectators then jump back into your slot. Just give us an option to end the flight.

A vanilla G-6 would be an insta-buy for me. I'm much more interested in work-horse fighters than 'rock star' variants.

The previous thread was closed on this cliff hanger.... ....and having only just picked up the Dora I couldn't help but notice the bar is still there. Was there ever any official decision about this?
