AI "cheats" at all levels, not only at Ace. It has an almost perfect SA and it is not subject to the same physics laws as human players. -
I'm trying to deliver some CBU-97 in CCIP mode but looks like the plane cannot compute the fire solution and the PBIL line never become solid. Since the procedure works fine with low drag bombs I suspect something wrong on my side. Any clue?

I've checked the generated mission in the editor but I didn't see any enroute task assigned, this is the reason why I was asking.... Deh! Anche se, ad onor del vero, essendo di Carrara sono Toscano solo per una questione puramente geografica I'm keeping just one package only with a player assigned slot. AFAIK I'm not using Combined Arms in Liberation. -

Nice question, and the answer is: dunno! I've double checked the menu' but did't find any setting related to the ground uints stance. I think I will RTFM then (I should altrready have done it before ) EDIT: Nevermid, I found it, and it was set to defensive. I've changed it to aggressive. Ok, I will disable culling then. Same for me Frame rate dorps to 20-24, while on the ground but the rise to 50-60 when in flight. I'm not an expert of the Editor, but AFAIK, it it a good pratice to create an enroute task on the target waypoint ordering to engage, this seems to make the AI more keen to obey, probably cause they know what they should try to hit. I agree, but I think this might be caused by a problem on Ramat David taxyway data: IMHO the limits where the planes should stop are not set correctly so AI planes does that mess (I saw the problem again today). I've opened a thread in the Syria map bug sub-forum explaining the problem, maybe I can get the Ugra media Attention. Thank you again for your hel Gianky. -

Hi Ugra, I've seen this problem playing DCS Liberation battle for golan heights campaing: In my last sortie, one of the AI controlled F-16 of the ATO, which was taxiing on the G taxiway, stopped straight in the middle of the crossing with the runway 09-27 ( the one between G and K segments, see diagram below) . That leads to a collision with a couple of F-15 which where taking off (probably the reason why the Viper stopped). It should have stopped before attempting to cross the runway, can you please double check?

New problem, although this time I'm sure this is not a Liberation issue: in my last sortie one of the AI F-16 of the ATO stops taxiing straight in the middle of the Ramat-David air-base runway 09-27 (yep, the taxiway layout of that base is terrible). This leads to a collision with a couple of F-15 which where taking off (probably the reason why the viper stopped). As a result, the whole ATO (including my wingman) stopped, I had to take off from another ruway and do the mission alone... Poor ATC or something wrong in the taxiway layout? -

There is something I don't understand of liberation mechanics, maybe it's just because I'm new of this mod (I'm playing my very first campaign with it): As per fist experience I decided to let the game handle the logistics and ATO: I just choose one of the scheduled mission, customize a little the payload and fly it. Although I'm doing a good work kicking the enemy ass (very) hard, the front line is not advanced of a single feet in 9 turns. Took me some time to understand why: comparing the ATO before and after a mission I noticed that the other missions where still there, like no allied packages attempted to flown them... which looks really strange since there is always a lot of traffic on the base taxiways. What the heck is going on? How is the game handling other flights, does it keep track of their results? Might this be related to the "Cull distant units" setting? Another issue: I've noticed that my wingman never follows my attack orders ("engage - mission and rejoin/RTB")... -

Love both, I found both of them fantastic! Viper is the plane I flown most in my virtual pilot career (started in 1989 with F-16 Combat pilot). However, in DCS I currently have 150h on the bug and 50h on the Viper. AMT the bug is the most complete in both AA and AG roles, can carry more and wider variety weapons and can do Carrier and Naval operations, which open up to an huge set of possibilities that the Viper does not have. Also, the bugs is easier to fly and its avionic system is much more modern that the viper one (less analogue gauges, all in MFDs).

Certo, ma essendo foriera di piu'problemi di quanti non ne risolva, (specie nei moduli full-fi), l'Arcade mode non lo usa praticamente nessuno. Per altro, non mi risulta che l'arcade mode vada a cambiare il modello di volo, ma semplifica solo l'uso di radar e armi.

E' un discorso fatto e rifatto (e qui siamo anche OT), comunque il Bug attualmente e' praticamente finito: a parte l'ACLS non mi vengono in mente altre feature importanti ancora da aggiungere (e di sicuro nessuna di esse e' critica visto che ci volo oramai da 3/4 anni con sommo gusto). Proprio per questo motivo ED ha deciso di rilocare risorse sullo sviluppo del Viper, che e' rimasto praticamente fermo per anni, in attesa che il Bug arrivasse a questo punto. Se non lo hai gia' fatto ti consiglio di tirare giu' il Bug e giocarci per i 15 giorni della durata della prova gratis: scoprirai che e' probabilmente, che anche nel suo attuale stato, il modulo piu' completo e divertente da usare di tutto il gioco. Capisco la "questione di principio", ma davvero, nel caso del Bug a questo punto ha pochissimo senso, IMHO ti stai solo masochisticamente perdendo un mucchio di ore di divertimento su quanto di meglio DCS puo' offrire al momento. Infine, se aspetti che un modulo sia privo di Bug prima di comprarlo allora mi sa che rimarrai per sempre con i soli moduli gratis (e pure quelli ... )

Guarda, sul bug ho il triplo delle ore di volo che ho attualmente sul Viper e francamente non sento tutta questa necessita' impellente di avere l'aggiornamento del modello di volo, (che gia' quello attuale mi pare avada piu' che bene). Sarei francamente piu' felice di veder arrivare (finalmente) l'ACLS.
