  1. It also appears to behave differently with the launch bar down too.
  2. No grant977, that will place you on the shuttle ready for a launch. To launch, go to full afterburner, and it will automatically launch. The FCS takes care of pitch immediately after you leave the deck.
  3. Loving the Hornet in VR. The ball is a little hard to see on case 1 landings (controlled crashes in my case), but it's visible enough - just. Well done ED for an amazing new addition to the fleet. One question - does ATC work on the Stennis, and if so, what's the frequency? I notice Wags was using simple comms, but I much prefer realistic settings.
  4. Or bind the idle/cut off to the throttles by moving them in and out of the detent position. It is essential to set up the controls before you do anything else. When you're in the cockpit, moving the throttles back and forwards without going into afterburner will soon show if they're correctly bound or not. For carrier take off, just push the throttles into afterburner and the launch is automatic. It is hardly fair to suggest a module is a lemon just because you haven't worked through the correct bindings, and ensured they are working. ED have extensively tested the module before launch, and if you have any doubts about it working, check out the numerous videos produced by both Wags and the guys lucky enough to get an Alpha copy. I'm sure they felt great when you went off on one instead of reading the manual where it says before you start, set up the controls!
  5. Yes, great addition to the fleet. Thanks ED for a very well put together module.
  6. It hasn't been - not yet!
  7. Excellent work. Never seen such a sudden U turn for a thread praising a developer in order to once again beat them up about an issue they have already acknowledged. It clearly also hasn't stopped you flying "thousands of hours", so hardly a game breaker is it! We all know it is a problem, but as it has already been discussed, why not leave this thread alone? That said, I agree with the OP. Well done ED!
  8. The emphasis there was they planned to release it early. Everything is subject to change.
  9. 14 Gb - quite a reasonable file size too.
  10. Yes, the update is coming to the Beta first.
  11. The update is live already!
  12. Not yet. It will become available after the update is released which has definitely not happened yet.
  13. Well it is coming out next week, so that'll be a no.
  14. They will if you will MrDieing. Everyone else hold back so I can have a clear run at it please. :music_whistling: :music_whistling:
  15. To set it up using the lifts in the Warthog, just go to axis tune, check the slider option, open the throttle control to full military power, and using the dead zone slider, you can adjust the throttle so that the dots are overlapping in the graph, and then test it in flight. They may need a little very fine tuning to get it just right so you have full military power short of the detents, and afterburner as soon as you jump the detents. Works very well, and you can adjust all the non-afterburner types so you just push to the detents for full military power in those too. The resolution is good enough that you still have fine control.
  16. The two versions are 2.5.0 (Release) and 2.5.1 Beta. They are definitely different, which is precisely what the version numbers denote. If you mine a little deeper, you can see that even more version numbers are tacked onto the end of 2.5.* which denote exactly which build you are using. The third digit will only really change with a major change. The devil is always in the detail.
  17. That statement you have quoted states clearly that you cannot get a refund. However, as you have not as yet downloaded anything, I am sure they'll be willing to do as you ask. As they haven't yet delivered, then the purchase hasn't been completed.
  18. I thought that was what happened if you don't fly the A-10C for a month - total memory loss!
  19. No it's not dead. It's pining for the Fjiords! Listen mate, this map wouldn't Voom if you put 2000 volts through it! It's singing in the holy choir invisible. It's pushing up the daisies. It is no more! Nah, it's restin' Resting? It's beedin extinct! It is no more! If it hadn't been nailed to it's perch it'd be 6 feet under! No really, it's just stunned, it was just waking up when you knocked it aart mate!
  20. Don't expect to see a manual until the release version of the Hornet arrives. You should get a quick start manual on release however, according to ED. Until then, watch the videos, they'll get you up and running.
  21. As a single player, there is nothing stopping you from modifying missions in the mission editor to start hot.
  22. What strikes me is that you find fault in someone asking to be given due consideration - well done for immediately singling out this post for criticism!
  23. I am fully in support of this too. We definitely need to make sure no-one is excluded for any reason, or made to feel belittled. Let's make DCS World a place where everyone feels at home.
  24. If you want to go WVR, just create missions exclusively using aircraft not equipped with AIM120s and the problem is solved. To suggest that everyone has to share your viewpoint is a little BVR, wouldn't you agree? If there is a plausible AIM120, it simply widens the choices - which is what a sandbox is all about I thought?
  25. Just about. Don't think I'm getting any sympathy from ED, but it was worth a shot. I'll just have to find a pub without a TV on Saturday then!
