  1. Very well done. I can't wait !!
  2. Keep in mind that the deck was painted many times during its carreer and the manner in which the ship's numbers were presented may have changed, depending on what paint was available or maybe even what on how the current captain wanted it done. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in that minutia. I would be more concerned about seeing that Corsair on short final with those antenna still errected!
  3. Beautiful!!
  4. The PBY would be the ultimate amphibian for DCS world!
  5. Yes, somewhere in between. I believe that Heatblur went too far with the Tomcat.
  6. I would gladly pay extra for this!
  7. I got a very kind note and invitation to this new server from my good friend Vitaliy (Lazzy Seal) and I am so glad he sent it! This server is awesome and I will advise all the helo-philes in my squad about it. Of course, I wanted to immediately try my hand at the fire fighting in there and I was very impressed! I have two questions though; is the "Weapons Realease" button the one to use for dropping the water? and is there a graphic display of the water being released? There was only about 10 minutes left before the server was to reset and I had just a few minutes available anyway so I never got a chance to determine if my water ever actually dropped. Rest assurred though that I will be back! I love this fire fighting role, especially for the Mi-8!! It is very obvious that someone on your team has an extensive background in fire fighting! Just one last comment; while I totally get the reasons for requiring the clients to have pure versions of the game to come into this server, it seems a shame to not be able to utilize the C-130J Hercules Mod in this server in a fire fighting role. Oh well, maybe some day it will actually become a real module.
  8. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  9. While I have no RW experience in the CEII, I did own an RV-8 a while back and I must say, the CEII seemed to be fairly well done in terms of "feel", at least as far as I was concerned. There were a few things about it that did not impress me but I can't say the FM was one of them. I am quite sure that there are far more subject matter experts floating around for the CEII than the F4U-1D but they are out there and I have faith that the Corsair will impress, regardless! OK, I admit it.....I'm a fanboy!
  10. I agree and would very much look forward to it myself!!
  11. Now imagine doing that in a SeaFire or Corsair from the deck of a CVE!!
  12. Oh PLEASE don't do that! He's the best pusher in the neighborhood and always comes through for me in a pinch. I don't think I would survive for long if he were to be taken in and locked up. If they do grab him, I hope they let him take his laptop into the slammer with him.
  13. While I have no idea whatsoever the difference in complexity between modeling (simulating) an F-5E versus an F4U-1D or -4B, it seems to me that ED, or in this case Magnitude 3 LLC, is missing a golden opportunity to take advantage of the late 40's through late 50's in terms of the various aircraft that participated in both WWII and Korea, not to mention those other brush fire wars in Africa, the Middle East, Indochina, indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, India/Pakistan, South America and China, not to mention the Cold War. The variety of scenarios is almost limitless and would open up a huge market for ships and ground forces that would compliment that time period for either or all sides. I also doubt very seriously that the popularity ($$) of the challenge of the carrier operations has been lost on anyone in this community. I have great expectations for this era of aviation to come.
  14. OH BABY!! C'mon funny feelin' !!!
  15. A CVE for the Corsair and any other US Navy carrier planes would be a priority of mine however anything from that era would be gladly accepted!
  16. That's just beautiful man!! Thanks Donny, you've made my month!!
  17. I'm very excited about the prospect of having the Mossie in my hanger gathering dust after a while!! But seriously, the bomb delay should be a "thing" for all of the planes that can carry bombs. From Jugs to Ponies and Spits as well as the 109's and 190's.
  18. Awesome skins prccowboy! Thank you very much for the great work!!
  19. Thank you prccowboy! Thank you so very much!! They look great!
  20. Dude,...... Donny, ya gotta help me man!! I'm dying here! Just throw me a little bone. I need a fix something fierce and it's been a month now. I'm bouncing off the walls man!! Please! Any little bit will help. I gotta have my A-7 juice!!
  21. No sir. Just a fairly current low vis Marine skin would be fine, thanks.
  22. Unfortunately, it is ships that are moving (under way) that I would like to put the smoke effect on. I even tried to use a moving zone with the triggered smoke and it would not stay on the ship. It is just left floating in the water like the smoke effect is. In my opinion, the smoke effect would be better because it does not go out in 5 minutes after it is spawned.
  23. I think that it would be very useful to allow the mission builder to place the smoke and/or fire effects on an AI ship, which is under way, to simulate damage that has been inflicted. Would this be possible for ED to accomplish without too much trouble?
  24. I agree that the Black Widow would make a great addition to DCS WWII however, as interesting a plane as it was, I feel like the Douglas Invader would lend itself to a much wider audiance within DCS World. Not only was it an excellent medium bomber in WWII, it operated very successfully in Korea and several more conflicts, such as the Bay of Pigs operation, Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia and several other operations throughout the African continent.
