DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
AG-51_Razor replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Be sure that the folder is spelled correctly - hercules - with a lower case h. And, not to insult your intelligence, be sure that it is the Liveries folder in the Saved Games and not your root directory for DCS World. One last suggestion, make sure that after you extract the particular skin pack you have chosen - mine was the USA Skin Pack - that you copy and paste the skins individually into the hercules folder such that each skin is in it's own folder within the hercules folder that is located in the liveries folder.......that is located in the Saved Games > DCS Openbeta (or DCS World Stable version). -
As would I, along with a Corsair that never flew over Korea during that conflict but the Essex class carriers would be very difficult to distinguish between those that were fighting during WWII and those that were modified later and operated in Korea. The "long hull" CV's were not so easy to tell apart from the earlier short hulls and it wasn't until very late in the conflict that you saw one or two with their dual 5" mounts removed from the flight deck. Probably the biggest difference might be the various antennas above the island for updated radar, navigation and communication. I would really like to see a Jeep carrier (CVE) modeled for the Corsair as well!

The Corsair and Crusader are beautiful! Can't wait to start throwing my money at you!! Thanks for the Christmas update and I sincerely hope that you and your team have a very Merry Christamas and a Happy New Year.

I am much more excited about the apparent layering of the coulds than the actual modeling of the clouds themselves. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the new clouds, but it's the different altitudes of cloud layers that we are shown in that video that really gets me excited to see the new weather changes!

Question About Employing the AGM-84E SLAM
AG-51_Razor replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thanks for all the replies fellas! They are much appreciated. Have a very Happy Holiday season and I sincerely hope your New Year is better than the last one!! -

I've looked back through several of these pages and watched quite a few video tutorials and can't find any reference to this question: Is it absolutely necessary to have the DL-13 Data Link pod installed if you are going to be using the Pre Planned Mode with known coordinates for the target? I have not seen a single video showing the SLAM being set up using the PP Mode. It's always been the TOO Mode.

This is going to be such an awesome MOD!! Thank you for the update.

Be patient. I am sure that they are working hard on it for the Mi-8 and it will come soon -
Well, regardless of whether you like their choice of the Apache, I think you have to admire the fact that ED was able to keep it under wraps so successfully for all this time!
-
I would definitely be one of the first in line to throw money at you for this plane!!

Awesome update ED! Thanks for putting in the late hours to get it out to us. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to your whole team!

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion

I'm a little nervous about how I am going to manage a twin engine prop plane with just a two throttle HOTAS. Has anyone figured this one out yet? Currently I use one throttle for throttle and one for RPM and a slider for fuel mixture. What are you all thinking of for a twin, such as the Mossie or a P-38 or A-20 or JU-88 or, or, or????? -
OH BABY!! C'mon funny feeling!! Thanks man

Hey Donny, could you help a brother out? I mean, it's been almost a month and I'm really starting to get the shakes. Night sweats and stomach cramps are really getting to me! I need a fix man! Just a little touch to get me through the holidays would do it. Can you help me out????
-
Sorry Spanky, I should have said, "The only reason the string is flapping sideways while in flight is because you're way out of trim, not because there is a crosswind. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Maybe I misunderstood you Uxi, but the ED F-14A does do exactly what Jagohu is asking for. As a matter of fact - I think - The HB F-14B used to this when it first came out, that is, its wings would fold back as soon as you linked it to the carrier when placing it on the deck as a static object. It would be nice if "they" could get it back to doing that again.

What Jester 986 said:thumbup: I would definitely support any full fidelity module you guys ever decide to produce. Thanks for the interview and many thanks for this T-45!!

Thanks Wombat

I have a question about the refueling pod; Does the tanker determine the amount of fuel delivered or does the receiver set that? It would be nice to be able to somehow specify the max amount of fuel to be delivered during a mission.
-
Definitely a worthwhile wish. It would be awesome to see ED and/or some 3rd Party developer really get serious about the PTO during WWII. I have no doubt that it will eventually happen, my only concern - being 69 yrs old - is whether I will live long enough to see it. :pilotfly:

Buccaneer by the BANA Project
AG-51_Razor replied to tombeckett2285's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Is there any reason why it couldn't be filmed landing on a carrier, or launching from one? Is that going to be possible? Is the refueling probe there just for looks? .... and I don't mean that in a snide manner. I am wondering if the Buc will have the same restrictions as the A-4E ie. no radio ergo no ability to tank. Beautiful model though. I've always loved the RN carrier a/c!
