  1. I wonder if it would be possible, or if ED is already considering this, to model some sort of CIC (combat information center) that a player could man and give intercept directions to aircraft around the boat? Just a thought.
  2. USAF Agressors have always been Blue for me. One of the benifits of that is you can use any Russian piece of equipment and it will communicate over the radio in English. USAF Agressors are like having an OpFor in the Red Flag exersize. You're all on the same side but the agressors are using Russian equipment. If you really want to shoot them down, why not just use Russians?
  3. I seem to recall that it had something to do with the ship needing to have repeated special actions for the Tacan included if there were any additional waypoints entered in the ME after the starting point. Otherwise the Tacan would quite after the first waypoint. Maybe if you put those in for every waypoint it would solve the problem?
  4. I love a guy with an active imagination!! The Jug will make a mhch better Sandy than the Pony did. :pilotfly:
  5. DOH!!! Thanks Exorcet I figured it was going to be something stup.....er, simple but that is over the top. I must have changed the start time at some point. Thanks again
  6. Thanks Exorcet. Did you see the same thing did in the first mission, the Silkworms not showing up while the mission is running but they are there when looking at it in the ME?
  7. I posted this up in the DCS World > Bugs forum https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=255923 but I thought that I might get a more informed response from someone down here in the boiler room :smilewink:
  8. Is there a problem with the Silkworm missiles now? In a mission that I made quite some time ago, they worked as they should (or at least as I think they should) and now, when I start that mission, they are not in the mission at all! The really odd thing is, when I open it up in the ME, they are there. So, I came upon this issue when I was trying to build a new mission this morning but could not get the missile to fire on a blue ship at all. That is when I decided to go back and look at the other mission I built. However, in the case of this new mission, the silkworm is there in the mission while running, it just won't launch. Both missions are attached here. The first mission I mentioned is "Measured Response" and the new one is "Going Straight" Measured Response.miz Going Straight.miz
  9. Quadg is exactly right but should have said, "....when transitioning THROUGH transitional lift." I think that this little nod to realism is what makes this particular module the most realistic helicopter sim I have ever come across, not counting the few full motion Level D flight sims I have been in. Use that cue to let you know that you are now going to be needing more power to sustain flight as you have transitioned from fowrard flight into hovering flight and you will need to keep an eye on your vertical speed. Do not allow a descent to get much greater than about 3 meters per second without much forward speed.
  10. I had the same issue trying to make a B-1 make a bombing run on a runway until I realized that there is a minimum altitude that they need. I believe that altitude was about 2000' AGL or something close to that.
  11. That frequency is definitely VHF, which is AM. The FM radios are not normally used for ATC because they don't have very good range. ATC functions are normally carried out on UHF or VHF radios and are AM.
  12. Do you have a full moon by any chance?
  13. Is it possible to get the helicopters to spawn onto their deck edge positions instead of the centerline of the deck??
  14. Just curious about the difference between the Tpod we have now and the ATFLIR that will go on the cheek station. Will the display look different? Will it be more capable or operate differently in some way from the one we have now?
  15. Thank you SkateZilla. That is exactly what I was asking about. Additionally, I believe that Wags had mentioned that ED planned to redoing the 3D model of the Viking as part of this "upgrade" to air to air refueling. Just curious about where they are with this.
  16. The new S-3B Viking model and the improved physics model for AAR?
  17. Essex class or Enterprise, I sure hope that those antennas fold down for flight ops! :pilotfly:
  18. It absolutely is worth it!! I'd go so far as to say that it is definitely worth the full price as it is right now with the couple of warts that it still has. You'll not be disappointed with the purchase of this module.
  19. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3612756&postcount=1
  20. I sure hope that they get the helicopter spawn points fixed!!
  21. I am pretty sure that if you have the cloud cover set to 9 or 10, the carrier will have its navigation and deck edge lights on at all times and will turn the landing area lights on when contacted for landing.
  22. Very nicely done indeed!
  23. Still no mention in the update log of having fixed the A-A-R for the Viper. Has anyone tried to refuel after taking off from a base?
  24. They probably haven't put it up on their server yet. Patience my young Pad Wan
  25. I just love it when I learn something new!! Thanks guys
