  1. Are you using a HOTAS? If so, do you have any switches mapped for the fuel transfer switches on the left console? If so, do you have that box in the game UI that says something like, "synchronize HOTAS on start up"? If so, have you checked those switches on your HOTAS??
  2. I definitely agree with this! +1:thumbup: Having said that, ANYTHING with a tailhook gets my vote - and money!! I'd really like to see a RN carrier as well though. :pilotfly:
  3. With M3 planning to release an Essex class for their F4U-1D, I would be really happy to pay for a WWII Pacific Assets pack that included a CVE, a DD, CA, BB and some amphibious assault ships like an LSD maybe. It would really be nice if they would release more than one of each type so you wouldn't end up with a bunch of the same ship names out there. I don't see that as being a terribly hard thing to accomplish. If so, enlighten me please.
  4. Is M3 planning to make an angled deck Essex class carrier? I seem to recall reading about this some time ago but I am afraid that I may be confusing this with the proposed Essex class coming from the Community A-4 project. I really hope not!!
  5. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that I read somewhere that M3 was looking into producing an angled deck Essex class to accompany their Crusader :thumbup:
  6. I'll have some Turkey Thanks!! TBF, that is
  7. +1 for this!!
  8. One thing that is sorely needed for both ETO and PTO are some ship models from that period. When Magnitude releases its Corsair and Essex class carrier, it is going to look pretty funky sailing around all by itself, or with modern day DD's and CA's with their weapons on hold.
  9. I could be wrong about this but I do be liege that if you select the NVG position on the switch over on the right hand consol, that light is disabled. The switch I am referring to is a 3 position sw on the outboard side of the RH consol, slightly forward of the canopy switch.
  10. Ah So! You are probably right. My apologies Barny
  11. Why do you think that this project is "....in the trash...."?? Just because these guys aren't continuously posting in here about whatever progress they are making? Give yourself a brake!
  12. Not for nuthin' but when I was flying Huey's and OH-58's back in the mid 70's, we were getting APR-39's installed and we were being trained to distinguish between various tones in order to be able to identify what type of radar was painting us. The display looked just like the ones we see in the Hornet and Tomcat though. :pilotfly:
  13. Merry Christmas RAZBAM! I'm really looking forward to all of your upcoming modules
  14. Thanks for a great update guys! Both Corsair and Crusader will be first day order/purchase for me. Vought aircraft will be proud! :pilotfly:
  15. I would love to have another carrier capable plane in DCS!
  16. I totally agree with Honez! I can easily see the wake of a ship while sitting in an airliner up at 35K feet! They need to be much longer, wider and brighter. Actually though, this is a thread for the DCS World 2.5 Wish List I believe. This isn't something that is going to get fixed with the super carrier module.
  17. I understand that. My point is that I don't believe that the AAA batteries of either side, in any of the theaters of the war ever really made an effort to suspend their fire just because friendly fighters were getting into their range. I am pretty sure that it was a fairly well understood concept that if you pursued an enemy plane into your own AAA fire, it was at your own peril. Maybe the answer would be to have the AI not target any friendly a/c in their vicinity.
  18. From most of the books I have read, it was a very common to lose friendly fighters in the Pacific when trying to defend the fleet while chasing enemy planes into the AAA range of the screening ships. In fact, many friendly aircraft were often shot down when returning to the fleet WITHOUT the presence of attacking enemy a/c! I doubt that it was much different for land based installations. Communication back then was not what it is today.
  19. It would be awesome though, if the Forestall class had the same feature of parking slots so that we would be able to assign more folks to a mission without worrying about someone spawning on top of someone else.
  20. I got the impression that the OP was not planning to purchase the module but is under the impression that he would be able to spawn on, takeoff from and land aboard the super carrier but not be able to take advantage of any of the other features of this module. Am I way off base??
  21. I can't wait to read the answer to this one from Wags or ED!! Great question Skipper
  22. The carrier shown in the WIP screen shot was of the early Yorktown or Enterprise. The carrier shown in the movie was the USS Bunker Hill, CV-17, which is an Essex class CV and goes with the yellow nose ring and white arrow in the tail of the Corsair in the movie.
  23. I sure hope that they figure out how to fold those big LF antennas down for flight ops! Beautiful module though. First day buy for me!:joystick:
  24. That WIP screenshot is NOT an Essex class carrier. It is a Yorktown class. I am very happy to see the Essex class Bunker Hill though!! Can't wait for this to go live! :pilotfly:
  25. Thanks for the tip daarseth but I am fully aware of how to do that. I was just wondering if ED had considered modeling a room to go into aboard the carrier that would be its CIC with some type of representation of a radar scope with which we could use to vector fighters out to bogies. Never mind though, it's a rediculous suggestion.
