  1. Figure on the temperature dropping 2 degrees C per thousand feet of altitude as a standard.
  2. I just returned home from a business trip and have yet to DL and install the most recent update. Is it better to wait and just install the next update, or should I go ahead and install this update and then the next fix?
  3. This "feature" would also be pretty handy for a Viking overhead the boat for recoveries
  4. It would be really nice to be able to operate a helicopter off of the supply ship for some VERTREP work
  5. I sure would like to see them get the radios to work. Other than that, it's a beautiful model to fly!!
  6. Couldn't agree more. This would be a first day buy for me.
  7. I can confirm Avermeire's observations and I definitely have not overridden any game files. No mods installed.
  8. Did you spawn on the Cat? If so, is it possible that the chocks are still in place?
  9. All great requests, especially the one to request a specific amount of fuel!! +1
  10. Thanks guys. It's good to know that this is a known issue and that I am not screwing up building the mission. I'm confident that ED will figure it out.
  11. I have been experiencing yet another issue with Tacan lately that is very annoying. Twice now, (in two consecutive squad nights) in multiplayer missions, we have all seen the Tacan signal from the carrier quit working, just as if someone in the carrier had turned it off. Associated with this is the loss of the ICLS as well. This happens about 45 minutes to an hour into the mission. The carrier group has a beginning waypoint and an ending waypoint about 3 hours away with no others in between. After the first ocurance, I put the command to turn on the Tacan and the ICLS at the ending waypoint also but it still happened. We have had this happen on both the Persian Gulf map and the Caucus map. Has anybody else experienced this, or am I doing something worng in the ME? The two missions in question are "Surprise, Surprise" on the PG map and "Airgroup 51 Workups Day" on the Caucus map. Suprise, Suprise!.miz Airgroup Workups Day.miz
  12. What Breaklight said. Our squad has experienced this many times and this is what we have done to get around it.....most of the time. Hopefully this will be addressed with the Super Carrier module.
  13. Well, you'd better get busy Hiromachi! Those N1K1's and Ki-84's aren't gonna build themselves!! :megalol: You would then truly be our Hero!!
  14. Is this a single player mission or multiplayer? Are you a member of a flight of four or is each a/c a separate unit?
  15. Lets not forget that there are many, many Corsairs, Hellcats and Wildcats laying on the bottom of the ocean and in the jungles of various islands that were brought down by the A6M. The pilot more often than not made the difference and the IJN lost too many experienced pilots during the Battle of Midway and subsequent campaigns in the Solomon islands such that more advanced and capable planes later on would be of little to no help. They just couldn't keep up with the attrition rate of their pilots.
  16. +1 THIS!!!
  17. Time flies when you're having fun!! :megalol:
  18. True, it is the same old SU-33 from FC3 but I believe that ED has given it a bunch of upgrades to it's FM and systems. This was about a year or so ago I believe.
  19. Hunter Joker, my apologies for that smart assed comment. It now occurs to me that you were probably asking for where you could find those mods for the WWII carriers and planes. I have no clue else I would post a link. :(
  20. What was the wind doing??
  21. I think that what you are seeing is the arresting gear associated with the Barrier. We just can't see the stantions that are retracted down on the deck.
  22. Here you go. http://leatherneck-sim.com/2019/12/22/christmas-update/ You really need to get out more son. :megalol:
  23. And besides all of that.....the Yak-3 is a beautiful, a$$ kicking plane!! I would be a first day buyer
  24. I'm not so sure I agree with your comments there Hiromachi. For sure the pilot needs to be protected but if a few rounds have lit his wing on fire due to the absence of self sealing fuel tanks, there's not much the pilot can do about it. The Wildcats and other US planes were very well known for their ability to absorb punishment whereas the IJN and IJA planes were notorious for their fragility - both in terms of their ability to protect the pilot as well as their propensity to catch fire or fold up like a pair of 2's when hit with a few well placed rounds. The fuel and oil systems were very high on the US military's list of things to protect in addition to the armor behind the pilot's seat.
  25. I can confirm that this is what it is doing when I use the keyboard. :(
