  1. OK, then the cause must be something else, hopefully somebody else will be able to help further.
  2. You have only 8 GB of RAM, which is below the minimum specs needed: Minimum system requirements (LOW graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel Core i3 at 2.8 GHz or AMD FX; RAM: 16 GB; https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/ Things you could try: Uninstall your user modded aircrafts, like the Su-57, Su-70, etc ... to reduce the memory footprint of the game. Add on your antivirus, a folder exclusion for D:/DCS World/ On your DCS config, reduce the preload Radius to 10000 But overall, even if the game does not crash, the performance with just 8 GB of ram is very poor ... I would add an additional 8 GB, if you purchase 2nd hand the cost can be quite low.
  3. Hello, I found that this issue was not caused by a user mod after all, the root cause was that with age my throttle axis had reduced its range to the point were a zero throttle position would give an internal raw value higher than zero. Re-calibrating my Hotas with its calibration software fixed the issue, now the Z (throttle) axis does deliver a zero value when the throttle is all the way back: So, if in the future other user finds the same issue, check your throttle axis first, as the MiG-21 lock only works with throttle at zero.
  4. On my view, there is no issue. If you place a user mod object on your mission, then everytime you load that same mission back on the Editor, you will need to have that user mod loaded on your DCS. I understand that you may have a mission not of your own making, and it may employ user mods ... you will have then to get those Mods if you want to fly or modify the mission. Now, if you want to be able to edit a mission where you don't have the user mods needed, then that is not an issue as it is "by design". To avoid this problem with DCS own official Mods, ED has divided its mods in two parts: the mod basic files are at /CoreMods/ and the cockpit files that allow you to fly it, are at /Mods/ ... this is why you can place on the Editor an F14 without owning the Module ... but User Mods do not have this special treatment, the Mods files are all at a single place on /Saved Games/
  5. Hello, I disabled all Mods, didnt had many but there were several, then ran a repair and also updated to the latest hotfix. And now the MiG-21 throttle works as it should: Don't know which specific Mod was conflicting, but it's clear not a module bug. Thanks a lot @Volator, for nudging me on the correct path to solve this Eduardo
  6. thanks for the track, will check it tonight, maybe its a user mod. Will report back soon.
  7. Yes, I did, the standard one: LWin+LShf+E .. no difference with clicking the lever lock
  8. Hello, If I click on the highlighted lever, the Throttle moves from STOP into MIN: However, I can't then get the Throttle back into STOP ... tried it with both the engine running and non-running, but to no avail, the lever doesn't move the Throttle back to STOP. Does it have a trick? Thanks for the help, Eduardo
  9. or ... "create a copy of the livery you want to use"
  10. that’s why I qualified my answer:
  11. I use a cloud drive with automatic version support, to store my missions:
  12. I can't really offer you any assurance, as this is a Microsoft move to invade our privacy ... ... dont click the link and just modify the skin yourself with the information I provided on my prior posts.
  14. Have you tried to use the server.lua file instead?
  15. el MizEdit permite traducir los textos de toda la mision, no solo el briefing, revisa bien sus opciones.
  16. Check that you have not enabled the historic filter, no user mod is compatible with that ME feature.
  17. Ok, I use mostly square boxes so maybe that's why I didn't noticed this issue before. Will give it a try myself, to see the issue more clearly
  18. Are you sure? .. I use that trigger a lot and have not noticed any confusion between Y and Z
  19. Did a quick check and on my DCS it works fine .. most likely you have a user Mod that is conflicting with DCS:
  20. You are wasting your time answering this person .. I have him on ignore since a long time ago ... unfortunately I still have to see his drivel when people quotes him
  21. Here is the livery I used above, if you want to try it: SpAF FA-18C C15-15 modded.zip
  22. You have to create a copy of the livery you want to use, and then add at the end of its description.lua the arguments you want to set for the aircraft, like this: Then on the mission editor you use this livery for the static aircraft that you want to place ... I dont know if using this type of livery makes sense on a player controlled aircraft, I have only used it on background aircraft: Once the mission starts, it looks like this:
  23. You mean how do you fix bugs, isnt it? ... according to me, ED splits its manpower in two parts: one to maintain the DCS core and do bug fixing, the other part to keep developing new Modules and finish up those still in early access.
  24. If ED were to do that, how do you expect they to keep their income to pay their employees?
  25. My thoughts on this is that most DCS users can be classified in two camps: Gamers, and Simmers ... of course, this is a gross simplification, as there are other minority groups: artist who enjoy creating liveries or 3D objects, historians who hate anything fictional, movie directors who enjoy video editing almost as much as flying, diorama makers who like creating static templates, etc, etc ... but still the two biggest groups are Gamers and Simmers. A Gamer is happy just learning the techniques and tricks that will give him an edge on Multiplayer gaming, this kind will rarely read the manual, as he opts to fly mostly FC3 aircrafts, uses auto-start to begin his flight, and watches YT tutorials. They tend to frequent Discord rather than the Forum, as it allows them to communicate with each other on Multiplayer groups and servers. The Simmer is the one that is most happy with the study-level aircraft, and they do use the manual as a first step into learning the intricacies of each airframe. As study is mostly a solitary endeavor, Simmers tend to play Single Player rather than frequent the MP Servers and their Discords, so that would be why you are more likely to encounter them here on the Forum. Well, now probably I will get I am sure I get too Cheers!
