  1. not going to get in to it in detail here - if you want, google the filename "TO1F15C3413 .pdf" referred to as the "dash 34" --- the eagle's non-nuclear weapons delivery manual https://imgur.com/Jw6c5gz many (many) awesome features that make the eagle far more lethal than is currently modeled in the sim ED has this doc for many of us, we'll never get the chance to actually fly these jets, DCS is the closest we'll ever get - getting the DCS eagle as close as possible to the real-deal, gets us close as possible to that experience who wouldn't want that??
  2. if that's true ("if"), then that's really a raw deal for those of us who are really in to the eagle ----- i want to see the eagle brought up to DCS standards why should we be "penalized" by being stuck at FC3 levels because the eagle was developed back in LOMAC days...? but.. i really don't think that's true --- i think it is ED's desire to bring all FC3 a/c up to DCS level
  3. wasn't it wags that said it in one of his video interviews?
  4. word on the street is that movement on bringing red aircraft to (continued) high fidelity is hindered by the russian govt (???) and the f-15c ASM is "not on our plate" (belsimtek) i thought i've heard in the past that ED wanted to bring all FC3 a/c up to DCS level but it doesn't seem like we're not proceeding toward that goal with much intensity in the case of the redfor a/c....... in the interest of continuing improvement, wouldn't it be possible to turn over that segment of the DCS lineup to 3rd party devs, outside of russia and thus outside of the purview of russian jurisdiction? and in the case of the F-15C, before we launch in to new projects, shouldn't we finish up unfinished modules first? not trying to be argumentative or critical - just speaking in the interest of gaining the "best experience" possible from DCS thanks
  5. that's what i was thinking even if we don't get a full up delta, the bravo was no slacker...
  6. EA-18G Growler transiting Rainbow Canyon/Jedi Transition ------- notice the sound at time 00:07...
  7. make it exactly like the real world model
  8. Yeah.. where did they ever say they were going to address guidance?
  9. good idea though........
  10. would be nice if they fix the "lock all players" bug while they're at it.... (ie.. if a SAM locks someone, all players on that side get the lock indication through RWR)
  11. damn fri13.. he showed you!lol
  12. i'm using an SSD and i get stutters : /
  13. one other thing.. being zoomed way out so you see the whole canopy bow and instrument panel may seem nice and "look" good to you, but you're not helping yourself to actually see small jets out there - once you're within ten miles, you NEED to be tally, and when you're all zoomed out like that, everything gets smaller - everything that's already small and hard to see , you're making even smaller and even harder to see! (some of y'all better keep your pants on!lol) here's the default view i use.. https://youtu.be/7IOStqsB4e0 in that vid i'm demonstrating "dotwars" where you see objects (ALL objects - parachutes, droptanks, missiles, and aircraft - fighters and tankers alike) at 37nm - something i find incredibly annoying and strikingly unrealistic ------ that was in 1.5.7 -- today i was in 2.1.whatever-is-the-latest and it seemed like i was getting the dot at 32nm but my overall point is.. you can actually SEE things (dangerous things - things that want to kill virtual-you) if you have a decent default view i don't have no mercy for yo narra whi' arse if you wanna be super zoomed out and then you whine that can't see a jet at 8miles...
  14. guys guys guys...... this is not rocket science first, pause your trackir then, RCTRL+RSHIFT + NumPad / and NumPad * (forward slash and asterick) and then NP / and NP * (alone - un-shifted etc) just play with those and make the view the way you like it then - when you're all set... RALT NumPad 0 "saves" that view as your default view (( until DCS decides it isn't - then you have to do it all over again, thus my post.... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190591 ))
  15. yep - those lights are for the heavies --- everybody's thinking too hard about this - just fly formation on the tanker
  16. never got to actually fly jets but i got a few chances to fly around for a while in full mission f-16 (once) and f-18 (twice) simulators ---- pretty cool
  17. +1
  18. IFF should be standardized across DCS - if it is automatic in the aircraft, it should be automatic in the sim - if you've got to actively initiate an IFF query in the aircraft, DCS should model it
