  1. You know what else works well, extremely well, having an audible “click”, when crossing into AB. Think Heat Bluer’s F-14B. I took out my detent, because I also use my set up to fly the Huey. In the Tomcat I always know when I cross between mil power and AB.
  2. I have an older rig. Normandy runs pretty good on it, but the southern part of the Caucus map is almost unusable for me. We all have different experiences, and opinions.
  3. Depends, the OV-10 just finished a combat tour eveluating the usability of light turbo props in moderan conflicts. Also the OV-10 would fit in better in a late cold war sereio.
  4. Any way to get the password for this? Honestly I think DCS could use a bit more of this randomness.
  5. Off topic, but I've been an offline player for a long long time. I would like to get into online, and would like to do it on the WWII aircraft. I have the asset pack, and would love to drop in on a server from time to time, if 8 knew the right server.
  6. Thank you so much for bringing this out. Minute one buy. I didn't even buy the F-18 that fast. Took it up, and love it. I've always wanted a sim that allowed you to take up a gen ave aircraft, and practice flying, and turn around and take up a war machine. That I is a big stet in that direction. It's also nice when I just want to fly, and get away from all the FWB, SAS, CAS of modern aircraft. If there are any quarks with the FM, I'm certain you guys will square it away. Side note I've been missing the Mig lately, so I took it for a spin last week. Yall have done a great job with it. Love what you guys are doing, keep it up!
  7. F-4E
  8. Ok, stupid question, but how do I install it?
  9. First day buy, and long over due.
  10. Hey, if I start in the air all works well, but if I hot start on the ground no joy with the LMAV. What am I doing wrong?
  11. Ugh, I can't wait to get home and try out the Harrier, the super Tucano, and Mirage III our first day buys for me.
  12. I've been away for several months, but I really hope all that polishing pays off on the gazelle. I couldn't enjoy it in the early state, but really want to log some hours in it. It's such a interesting little chopper.
  13. The S-70 would be sick. It's the closest thing the west has to the MI-8 , and can perform so many missions. Would be a day one buy for me.
  14. I know people are being sarcastic. But I personally would put the 172 right up at the top of my list for aircraft I'd like to see in DCS. Especially if it came with a student pilot campaign, similar to the student pilot lessons in Microsoft flight simulator. So I for one actually wholeheartedly say let's have a Cessna 172. Not to mention learning VOR navigation, flying within the parameters of a student pilot, and IFR navigation would benefit almost everybody.
  15. This would be an Instant purchase for me. Combined with the F-14 this would be a perfect pairing. Love the mud movers, and it would be really cool to kind expeance the transition from the F-14, and A-6 combo, to the FA-18. But the A6 would be an all time favorite for me.
  16. Honestly I feel this is an area where a third party could step in. But DCS need a good bit of an overhaul of it's ground assets, and the addition of many more. With the addition of the third generation fighters, we need targets that fit the conflicts these jets, and choppers were used in. This also seems like a relatively easy way to make some income.
  17. I doubt we would ever see it, but this is one of the jets I dream of having in game.
  18. I kinda hope your wrong on this one. There really doesn't seem to be a standard version of the F-5E, as all customers had different requirements. I really wish that the Saudi F-5E would be modeled. They were very capable and would fit in well in the gulf theater maps that are coming.
  19. are you sure you didn't just reflexively counter the roll with the ailerons? I've got some stick time in a 172 and it would dip a wing if you just applied rudder.
  20. Mig-29 I hope.
  21. I think a realistic air or ground radar that is player controllable would be a really great thing in DCS. There are many ways to implement this, from having the F10 screen "see" only what the AWACS sees, to fully modeling an E2. As for people buying it, I'm sure some would and some wouldn't. I'm not championing an E2 ,I doubt we will ever see one in game, I am saying that military aviation is a big complex thing with each aircraft and type having it's own challenges and bringing it's own strengths to the fight. As time goes on and DCS progresses I hope to see a little something for every one in this sim because the more people that are playing it the better it will be for all of us.
  22. Wings Over Vitamin.
  23. I agree largely. The ground units and there AI need some work, especially radar equipped close in AA units. Having armor behave like armor would make CAS so much more fun. The infantry is really cool and there AI is a large step forward, they will "stalk" vehicles, each other, and even the occasional helicopter. It would greatly improve the game if MANPADS could move with the infantry. It would also be nice if there were more types of infantry, and all country's had them.
  24. Like what? I've taken on eight expert AI Mig-21's in an F-15c, guns only. I wasted all of them with ammo to spare. the AI Mig is only slightly better then the player Mig. As for a world beater I haven't seen it. Mig-29S is a world beater. I just took on the AI Mig-21 in the Mig-21 module in a heater fight. I beat him two out of three fights. I see no evidence of "super abilities". It's a good dog fighter, and it is in real life, but it's no world beater.
  25. Fight Mig-15's, SU-25's, L-39's, Mig-21's, and I've even killed an F-5E in a gun fight. It's a really cool module, also remember this sim is about to go through it's biggest upgrade scene DCS world started. If you like the Saber don't hesitate to buy this module.
