  1. I don't use any software really, I mostly fly the F16 since I have a Cougar. I do have the Hornet module, though I've not used it in a long time. Haven't played DCS for over a year actually. Lol. But I want to, hence asking about the bases.
  2. Lots of Virpil folks, what about VKB bases?
  3. I have a Cougar, so I can buy just the base and use the Cougar stick. Is this base a worthwhile purchase?
  4. That is great news!!! Will keep an eye on this as I need one. What kind of install? Plug and play or more? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. Am I reading correctly that you're selling Cougar microsticks (or will be later)? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  7. Never understood why people hate on z-axis rotation so much. I love it and am disappointed so few sticks utilize it (or that it's apparently a stick function rather than a base function...).
  8. Great work with the pics - really appreciate it! I'm in the market and seeing one of their new models in detail like this is a huge plus for me.
  9. I've looked for numerous microstick replacements, but nobody has any. Zero - even that quantity says 0. 3 month lead-time to construct one? Yikes. I'd prefer to just use my Cougar TQS as it's infinitely cheaper than trying to buy a new one.
  10. Well, this is great news for me! A Mk. III base to use with my TM Cougar stick is exactly what I was hoping for.
  11. Answered my own question reading the FAQ. Imagine that. lol Do you guys sell Gladiator Pro or Gunfighter bases by themselves? No. Stand-alone bases by themselves are not complete products and don’t offer any functionality unless combined with a grip (base + grip = joystick), so you should just aim to buy a complete joystick to begin with. Since VKB is in the market to sell complete joysticks first and foremost, buying a complete joystick allows you to receive a fully usable product with a single purchase. In contrast, Stand-alone grips are really only meant for those users who already own a compatible VKB joystick and wish to replace the original grip with another one. NB: If you want a complete joystick, don’t piece it together by buying a stand-alone grip as soon as it’s available, and then end up waiting on some form of stand-alone base that might or might be offered by VKB.
  12. Is there any way to purchase just the Mk. III base or does it require buying a stick as well? I have a Cougar stick I'd like to use and don't really have the need for any of their grips.
  13. Wow, more than a few I've never heard of! Keep it coming folks!
  14. Want to make sure I'm aware of all of them. There's the Virpil Mongoos thingy, the Warthog throttle, and... Who else makes one of similar quality? Unless Luis Rossmann can come through with a fix for my Cougar microstick, i think a new throttle is my only real option.
  15. Wow, Aeyes Cockpits for Falcon 4... That brings back some memories alright!
  16. HOLY COW - a Eurofighter!!! THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!! Can't wait for it to go on sale and see more vids!!!
  17. Just wanted to thank ED for the generous discounts for the Supercarrier module. I already have the F-18 and when I went and checked, just for S&Gs, the module price and saw it was only $25 for me, I couldn't resist. Keep up the great work and thanks for the generous discount!

    F18 or F16

Then again, clearly with software updates, there's more than just one thing that changes, not as simple as "5.1 adds new bomb". Might be that the upgrade to 5.1 tape adds other things they can't model - then it makes sense they don't do it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

    F18 or F16

I mean, if it was some sort of classified hardware with unknown functionality, a different radar that was classified, some sort of upgrade that required changing the entire model of the plane, etc then I could understand it. But if the only thing holding back from the plane from being able to utilize something is the operating system of the craft that says, "Can use Y/N? Y" and is literally only months older than the "planned" age of the simulated plane, then why not include it? It's not like they have to invent terrain following radar or anything, it's a stand-off weapon. Especially if they're going to implement it in the F-18 at some point - it's already been programmed, why not just port it over?

Ugh... I really hate hearing this kind of arbitrary crap from ED... Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

F-18. But I fly the F-16 more as to me it's far simpler to pick up and fly than the F-18.
  22. Thanks for the help - I can easily reach 30k + now that I follow the 400kts/.82M method.
  23. Question about this: "Last year we used the AIM-7 as a testbed to implement several air-to-air missile performance and guidance improvements. Early this year we will be doing the same for the AIM-120. The AIM-120 performance in 2020 will be closer to claimed specifications given adjustments to G-induced drag in the trans-sonic region, and we improved the efficiency of the lofting profile." I know the 120C the Viper and Hornet use just got a modest boost in performance, to what specs will the above modification to the weapon achieve?
  24. Wow, talk about a chock-full newsletter today! Great stuff in the works!
  25. This is to replace the microstick with push button, correct? When you say sensor, I think the axis pots for the throttle. If so, count me very interested!
