  1. I don't know, ask Wags
  2. DCS only uses one core so I would not expect any improvement. This is why you can run this map On a 980 or a 2080 (at least using TrackIR) and see no improvement, the GPU is not the bottle neck. Try disabling multi-threading and you may see some improvement. You will have to wait for the implementation of Vulkan API to see significant improvement with your multi core CPU I am afraid.
  3. Can't help with the VR aspect, but generally decrease your preload radius until it is smooth. The downside will be more frequent freezing as you fly along. How much RAM do you have? I found 24GB was acceptable. Turn on the performance monitor and watch your RAM and CPU usage, most likely RAM is the culprit but CPU is next. DCSis not very demanding on GPU, a 980 will run this map with enough RAM and a fast CPU.
  4. Could also be used for the Winter War (a small part of it) and we are going to get an I-16!
  5. Excellent! Looking forward to seeing these. I'm certain that you will do a 439 Sqn skin and ask for a 441 Sqn skin to go with it!
  6. almost 100% of the time the "dedicated server" picks the wrong mission, I have taken to leaving only the mission I want to run in the list.
  7. I wouldn't mind if they introduced a bunch of AI models and then slowly worked on making them full fidelity modules.
  8. Not sure what M3's plans are for a Pacific Map but... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3581001&postcount=9 The map that was being developed by Leather neck was Cobra's and is maybe going to be published by him at some future date. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3581242&postcount=15 So there may be hope for a Pacific Map someday.
  9. So what you you mean by? That sounds like hotmic to me, but yes, each radio and the ICS can be bound to a seperate button in SRS
  10. Actually, the majority of the mods in question had done that and in the first post generally provided the requested information regarding ownership of the 3d model / intellectual property rights and the terms under which they were allowed to use them. There are many times more mods for the modern era that made no such attempt to secure rights/ prove ownership and they are still there despite this sudden house cleaning.
  11. This is an old problem with static weather. Often triggered by using one of the F views including F10 to view the map. Clouds are also local and it seems they are related to the preload radius you have set. Try dynamic weather and it should stay
  12. Not sure what is going on, but you may have stumbled upon a solution to a problem that has eluded answer for a while. Can you post a mission for us to have a look at to try to find out why it is behaving this way?
  13. I think a significant part of the problem is that ED is not making the WWII Assets Pack, but a very busy 3rd Party who have moved on to the Syrian Map. Which must be consuming significant 3d modeling resources. I think we will see the Syrian Map before we have the WWII Assets Pack finished.
  14. You can do that yourself by opening the mission "Tomcat over Caucasus-CVN_Ongoing.miz" and checking the boxes for each of the client F-14s. The engine can't do that yet, though someone might come up with a couple of lines of code in the next few weeks to add that capability.
  15. You are on version 2.5.4.28090?
  16. That is how it works. You can log in from your client [ed. as a player] or log into your DCS World profile on the ED home page and it will list your servers. You can then use the Web interface to manage it. I have mine set as a favorite page on my smartphone so I can remotely manage my server while at work or when out. Presumably, you could also launch with the --webgui command and the server will show the web interface instead of the DCS splash screen. I have not tried to run it that way yet, not sure if you can be connected to the web interface from two locations, testing that I have done so far has not worked out well being logged in on the server and my phone.
  17. I've been running with onboard graphics for four or five years, no GPU. I hope that there will be a small performance improvement, but all I really see is a web GUI for remote access, everything else we had before.
  18. All Mk IX Spitfires in 2 TAF had been retrofitted with the Mk II Gyro sight by May 1944 as well. That small advance drastically improved marksmanship and compounded allied numerical superiority and should not be left out of an update to bring the Mk IX up to a standard appropriate to the map and Axis plane set as it exists.
  19. Probably not in this simulation
  20. I think what you are looking at is the first line is the name of the target and the overall condition of the target at the beginning of the mission, the lines indented below it are the individual elements that make up the target and the condition of each individual element.
  21. Is your preload radius set to maximum?
  22. +1 Me-410 would make a lot more sense than the 110. The real problem with it would be that it was only serving with I and II KG26 using the A-1 and B-1 from mid 43 to mid 44 with none of them operating from airfields on our map since they reduced the size of it, so even when we get the grass fields they will be off the map. These were used primarily in the night bombing role and would be a nice opponent for the Mosquito if we got the Mk XIII instead. Maybe if it was packaged as an AI with a flyable Zerstörer version? The only other unit to use the 410 over Normandy as far as I remember was I/ZG2, based in Belgium, off the map again. They were there for a few months (April to June 44?) until they were recalled to Germany for Defence of the Reich duties. This is bizarre since they were equipped with the B-6 which was a torpedo bomber... Again a really interesting aircraft, played a real fringe role on our current map, would extend the time frame into 1943 contemporary with the Mk IX but not an appropriate adversary for it. Most importantly not a viable substitute for the current Bf-109K-4 as the OP was ruminating about.
  23. Cool, but not really any more relevant to Normandy in 1944 than the Ta-152 and certainly not available to the Luftwaffe. But I would love to have it someday.
  24. It has always been like this. Static weather is based upon your spawn location for the most part and I believe that it is related to your preload radius but have not checked that in a long time. In multiplayer you can have one player in cloud and another intercepting him in clear skies. Two aircraft taking off at the same time from the same airfield in multiplayer will see the same general weather around the airfield but the individual clouds or rain showers will not be the same. In other words, two aircraft in tight formation may be experiencing different conditions, one in cloud and one between the clouds. If I remember correctly we could solve this if everyone spawned in together and then we unpause the server. The exception to this in both single player and multi player is clear skies and full overcast which both cover the entire map. Normally I use dynamic weather if I want to cover the entire map, but it takes some trial and error to get what I want.
