  1. Are they all on the same version of DCS?
  2. F-86 has been out of EA for quite awhile and still is not really "finished". It is still my favorite module but is about as finished as the Harrier which I also enjoy a great deal. Much of the problem is that those things that are not implemented are not there because the DCS environment does not yet support it. Much new tech needed to be developed by RAZBAM that DCS World lacked. Some of the unfinished systems in the Saber are already in DCS, like a working fire detection system, an accurate gun sight and the ability to communicate with JTAC, but have not been implemented or were and have been broken since DCS 1.X. So I don't feel that RAZBAM is doing badly, in fact I feel they are raising the bar. I too desire complete and bug free modules, but are you sure you are judging RAZBAM by the same standard as ED, Heatblur and Belsimtek? Name a feature complete module from ED. The Spitfire? Nope, two years to get bombs and drop tanks... Since July it has had cockpit reflection when the canopy is open where it used to be. Five months you couldn't see out of the front windshield. Were they working on it all this time? No, they abandoned it to devote all efforts to the Hornet. Was the Hornet released feature complete? No. Is it completed yet? No, they're working on systems that they need to develop new tech for that doesn't exist yet in DCS World, the same things the Harrier is dependent on. Will they jump back and finish the Spitfire anytime soon? I doubt it, they need to fix a bunch of problems with the technology for the Stennis to work, the same stuff the Tarawa is waiting for. I hope that people will refrain from making disparaging remarks and innuendo about a product that has not been released yet, otherwise I fear the naysayers will drive RAZBAM away from DCS. End rant
  3. Good, was worried my eyes were going...
  4. You sir, are a GENIUS! What a Christmas present
  5. I would like a Spitfire Mk. 24. Everyone of course wants the most advanced version of their favorite a/c, but the point of the A-8 (or even the F-8) is to give us a variant more appropriate for the Normandy Map we have. The A-9 is no better than the D-9, it never flew over this map, it didn't start production until September '44. The Mk. 24 at least would have flown over this map, albeit in 1946....
  6. Really, which ship? Got to try it.
  7. With Combined Arms the following Third Reich WWII Assets are player controlable: Stug IV Horch 901 staff car Sd.Kfz.7 Sd.Kfz.2 Fire Control Bunker (never tired it no idea what it does) Nothing else at this time can be controlled in the first person by players. All assets can be controlled by Game Master, Tac Comd, JTAC from the F10 view just like modern ones. When first released 20 months ago most Armour and AAA was controllable if you had Combined Arms, now only those assets added in the last six months can be controlled in the first person. No word on when the Combined Arms functionality will be fully implemented. It is on sale for about the best price you will get for it and appears that it will continue to grow, we just need to be patient.
  8. Nice work! Can't wait to get the squadron together and give it a try.
  9. Because we would need almost entirely new plane set? In fact even the Spitfire Mk IX we have now, the earliest a/c we have, would not be appropriate for the theatre. The Axis forces surrendered en masse in May 1943 before any of the axis a/c we have flew and the fight moved to Italy. The Corsair II that we are getting did not enter FAA service until mid 1944 so it is no help in a N. African theatre. The I-16 would be the correct timeframe but as far as I know none saw service in that theatre. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the N. African theatre but it will be a long time before it would be developed to a point that you could have a believable mission.
  10. If the warehouse quantity was set in the mission and not left as unlimited, you need to set the warehouse to unlimited, save the mission and go back and edit warehouse quantity to get the warehouse to update with the new weapons, drop tanks etc.
  11. So I run my server using DCE in coop now and it is essential to edit the mission and save it before launching it on the server. Other than Ch 1, DCE only sets the frequency of the first aircraft in a group. To get around this I switch the 2nd - 4th from client to average and back again. When you switch to client it clones the radio presets. So I suspect that it is related to Player vs Client. We also run with more than four on one side so I need to open the mission anyway. Looking forward to seeing the new update!
  12. yes, that is precisely what I have, I have nothing called "Battle Damage Assesments" as mentioned earlier in a post above. By default after running a second repair all options except "Controls Indicator" were unchecked this time. prior to the first repair, nothing I checked or unchecked would get rid of the damage reports for aircraft, this morning after running second repair, I do not have the reports of hitting aircraft and my P-51 cockpit textures are repaired as well. Thanks for posting the screen shot, it confirms that I have the same new options as you do, I was concerned that I was missing some of them.
  13. Tried repair twice now and still don't have that option. I seem to have only one new option, undocumented of course, how do you know you have them all? I guess "Collect Statistics" might be new, I don't remember seeing it before but I might just have not been paying attention. The mysterious new option I have is "Realtime Bomb Damage Assistance", which was on by default before the repair, turning it off or on made no difference and after the second repair it was off by default...
  14. except that htere are two antenna holes still in the default skins that are for the -30s two antenna and are visible when you apply the default skins to the -25 Also I seem to be missing textures in the cockpit now, is anyone else? didn't notice any difference with the Spitfire at all.
  15. How did you get the cowling off to see them? (or that they weren't there to be more accurate?) Mine has been shot off by a helpful 109 once but I didn't really have time to admire all of the detail hidden by the engine cowling and did not notice the absence (or not) of the relief valves.
  16. The AI do not fly it like it was a MiG-15, they fly it like a modern jet with a HUD using CCIP or CCRP to hit the target. The Hopefully this will be corrected when they have a general look at the AI behavior after they fix the ATC, GCI etc etc.... The Sabre AI has been fixed after-all and no longer use the radar gun-sight to begin BVR engagements like an F-15
  17. Bombing in these early jet fighters was essentially the same as WWII piston engine fighters. It was a secondary role and was done by dive bombing, with or without the assistance of some sort of mechanical computer and the gunsight.
  18. Isn't that a Few 190D-9 tail? Too short for a D-13 and certainly not an A-8
  19. Sounds promising
  20. Is it bad that my first thought was "Gilets jaunes!"?
  21. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3249600/ This one?
  22. I guess the real question is, when are you starting to test the Dedicated Server software? Now, or not until the new mission?
  23. Thanks, these are great! Love the RCAF Jeep! Any chance of getting these to work with the Jeep in https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3636259&postcount=1 I would love to have someone driving around in the ground control jeep.
  24. They said they would release it AI ONLY with the F-14, then later release a full module, so we have a bit of a wait.
