  1. Excellent news!
  2. it might be that you are above the max alt limit of the Nordon bombsight and they are diving to be able to hit the target.
  3. Beautiful! keep the 334th skins coming please!
  4. Just a suggestion, but use the yellow pages on the kneeboard and tune the frequency to 489kHz and see what code it transmits. Then make a bug report with version number. Have you tried it in various versions or just one?
  5. Still do, waiting patiently for the WWII asset pack to be integrated before making more changes. That being said, 2.1.1 is far better for WVR dogfighting and lack of a second NTR Map or Normandy map and assets pack is preventing me from moving it over to 2.1.1 already. Another problem is that they have a really hard time competing outside of a very specific era so we don't have much variety. If we had a Yak 9 and some Russian light bombers, but the A-20 and B-26 will do nicely, we could set even better scenarios. Wait for a few weeks and see what comes from assets pack integration in 1.5.7.
  6. Beautiful! lookng forward to seeing the rest of the 334th FS skins!
  7. Yes, been waiting for the assets pack to get some AA so will begin work again in a couple of weeks when I have a bit more time. It is very disappointing how fast the Sabres are shot down by the Mig-15 though, loss ratio is something like 10:1 in favour of the Mig. This seems to be mainly since 2.1. Visibility is much better now so you can stand a chance of seeing them but very hard to survive a mission.
  8. Agreed, it is particularly useful to a mission or campaign that revolves around establishing air superiority
  9. Hey, Reflected, would you make a generic 334th FS Skin? The red outline letters would be a problem but otherwise it would be very close and useful. Perhaps the boxing eagle in place of the individual nose art? Cheers!
  10. Yes, still no fix for this
  11. No, you can directly connect via IP address. Use the internal lan IP address of your server.
  12. Thanks, this worked for me, I was having the same problem with freezing that you were on the Normandy map but not on the Nevada map. Low ram was not the case. I'm running win10/i7/24Gb/GTX1070
  13. I haven't had time to fly much yet but did spend a couple of hours with the new 2.1. I'm using the same settings as I did in 2.0.xx as a starting point and have found that in both single player and multiplayer I experience random freezing varying from a split second to a minute on the Normandy map. Other than that frame rate seems fine, 35-45 on the ground or low altitude over Caen and rock solid 60 at altitude with the limiter on. In the NTTR map no freezes yet, I need to fly it a bit more though to have comparable data.
  14. Excellent news! Looking forward to trying it out.
  15.? The song was composed for the movie MASH? How more real can it get?
  16. Works fine on OB on my server, check there to see if it is a problem with your JSGME set-up
  17. I didn't think aerobatics online was running a SRS Server. It would make more sense to use the Simple Radio TS plug-in for that case. I assume it still works after the last couple of updates anyway.
  18. I find that startling. What MP server has easy comms enabled that is running a SRS server? I assume that the admin has done that inadvertently and you should inform them about it so they can fix it. Turning on simple comms would effectively negate the value of running an SRS server, they would be better off sticking to TS in that case.
  19. Actually, it isn't even that complicated. All they need to do is prevent downloads of models other than maps at the store level. For example, to run a 'dedicated server' I need a separate account for the server. It has no modules so I can't fly in it, only run a server. Okay so I could fly the TF_51 or the Su-25 but it is easy to disable that account from purchasing any modules other than maps.
  20. They did not give a timeline, only that it was not a high priority for them. So for the foreseeable future you will be unable to run a dedicated server without having to purchase a second copy of the NTTR map, or Normandy or any other future map except Georgia.
  21. Precisely, I would run a training server based on the NTTR map if I didn't need to purchase a second copy and the same will hold for Normandy, I am not likely to run a server on that map as long as I need to purchase a second copy plus the asset pack and I expect that the number of 24/7 dedicated servers will remain low and the Caucuses will remain the most popular. I am looking forward to that map being updated more than any of the others that have been discussed so far.
  22. Fantastic! I have been waiting to include this in Georgian Spring as the NATO medevac chopper!
  23. Right, hostilities ended 27 Jul 53 and the 107 F-86F-35 were constructed in the spring of '54, although they are essentially the same as the -30 which did serve there. They were also all intended for Europe I understand because of the ability to deliver a 'special store' As for the Mig-15 vs Mig-15bis I will need to find the source but I believe that the 'bis' was first rolled out to the Soviet squadrons and priority didn't shift to Korea until the later F-86F's began to arrive and to really dominate the sky's. By the time they arrived the truce was in place. I'll see what I can find when I get home.
  24. We would need a Mig to match it then because the one we have arrived in Korea too late for combat and was improved (hence the bis designation) from the earlier version that saw combat, however the Sabre we have is not too far off the last models to fight in Korea when the kill ratio was ~10:1. There are many misconceptions based on earlier reported combat experiences that continue to persist, for example the ineffectiveness of the .50 cal and that was true if the A models that deployed with the 4th FIW. Those a/c were equipped with the M2 and they were ineffective. They were fairly rapidly rearmed with the M3 that could fire the M20 APIT round and it was lethal against the Mig, just watch the gun cam footage. I could not sum it up better than this author "The introduction of the F into combat in Korea went a long way to closing the high-altitude performance gap between the Sabre and the MiG-15. No longer could the MiGs zoom and climb through Sabre formations with impunity, and the Sabre pilots could now close on the MiGs at any altitude, even during a climb."
