  1. Jester can get stuck looking off in one direction, (after almost every engagement really). You have to select 'Spot', in the Jester Menu to reset him.
  2. No doubt. Those hand signals look cool. Thanks.
  3. This happened for me in a single player campaign (Reflected Simulation's Zone 5 - Event 3) mission yesterday:
  4. I have posted this in the feedback thread for the last patch. The Devs should see it shortly. Thank you for your help Draconus.
  5. Sorry, because this happened in one of Reflected Simulation's campaigns it was originally addressed to him. My mistake. Yes it was at mission (cold) start, on the ramp at Nellis. The screenshot shows the left engine is running, there's fuel in the tanks/fuel line, the crank switch is set to right engine, the right throttle has been set to idle after the engine spooled to 20% and yet there's no fuel flow. Ideas?
  6. Apparently a 'right engine crank' bug that used to be a thing has returned/raised its ugly head once again. The link above will provide further detail.
  7. I reported an issue with Event 3 a couple of weeks ago , where my Wingman wouldn't get going. I was just surprised the next time I tried the mission I couldn't get my F-14 going. Perhaps I'm cursed. Joking aside, I did wonder if the two things might be related, but it's obviously just coincidence. I shall move this thread to the F-14 Bugs & Problems Forum. It must be frustrating when people come to you with problems created by other parties. In this case Heatblur, and/or DCS. It's difficult for laymen like myself to keep track of who's responsible for what. I love what you do and I'm sorry I've wasted some of your time responding to this. Time that would be better spent building another awesome F-14 campaign By the way, is it possible to script systems failures in the Mission Editor? I thought for a second you were striving for all new levels of realism and had scripted one in for Event 3 and that was what I had encountered . I was searching for a workaround by draining the fuel and cycling the fuel transfer pumps. I had 4200 lbs of fuel trapped in the wing tanks for some reason. Very bizarre, but a problem that could occur in real life I guess. I for one would like to see what happens when you do the bi-di test at start-up and the hydraulic pump fails and doesn't pressurize the combined system within 5 seconds. Does the needle quickly drop to zero? Anyway, I've wasted enough of your time. Have a pleasant evening.
  8. This is a strange one: Currently draining and refilling the tanks to see if it resolves the issue... ...No joy. Plane wouldn't empty below a 26% fuel load (4200 lbs in wing tanks).
  9. I don't pretend to know how all this stuff works, but I've heard the Super Carrier is optimized for the Hornet, so that might be a factor.
  10. I just heard a whine coming from an a.i. F-14 as its wings extended on the ground, just prior to take-off. First time hearing that. Was that always a thing? The wing sweep on the player's F-14 doesn't make any noise that I'm aware of. It was after I'd landed at the end of Event 2, in Reflected Simulation's Zone 5 Campaign. An a.i. F-14 was taxing to runway 31R, just as you arrive back at your designated parking (16). It's wings were swept and as it held short. It extended its wings and you could hear a whine from the system as it did so. It was very cool.
  11. It must be silent, because I don't hear a damn thing. Even with ECS off. EDIT:...Wait! I heard it. I wasn't airborne before. Perhaps that's why. It's quiet, but it's there. I can understand needing this at night. Thank you.
  12. Has anybody heard the DLC deployment? Is it wind noise (like you hear with fuel probe extended), or mechanical deployment we're supposed to hear? I haven't noticed anything different yet.
  13. I agree the lower part of the strut appears to compress to max, nose and mains. Could be a two-stage shock-absorber, as you suggest. Perhaps there's an upper half that also compresses, at a higher pressure? The main struts are after all huge. They must be about 5 foot tall, all told. As I've said, if the plane was maxing out suspension travel every time it landed it would quickly become a serious problem. Anyway, it's great to see so realistic physical behaviour being modelled.
  14. I'm not sure the mains should be bottoming out at max trap weight. There should still be something in reserve, otherwise it'd be a hell of an impact on the airframe, not to mention the crew.
  15. Are you able to provide video of this?
  16. @SmithThe front strut 'EXTD/KNEEL' wouldn't work for me with your config file. The mains now compress using your file though, which is great to see. I guess the Devs hadn't worked-out the kinks yet either, hence why it was just nose-strut for the 'official' release.
  17. Thank you. Is there anyway to make a button push progressive (0-100% accumulating over 1 - 1.5 secs perhaps), in the config file? It could save me 100 Euros for a set of pedals
  18. This is a fantastic improvement. However it should be noted that you really need to have an analogue axis for this to work as it should IRL. I have a VIRPIL Controls T-50 CM3 throttle and Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X and unfortunately there are no suitable analogue axis for brakes with these two. Up 'til now I have simply used a button for brakes, but it's obviously all-or-nothing in that case and the new and improved nose strut will now quickly bottom out with almost any forward momentum. I guess the time has come to invest in pedals, unless someone has a better suggestion? The spring-loaded thumb joystick on my throttle (which I currently use for DLC, (on the up/down axis), but tried using the left/right axis for brakes), is the closest suitable candidate, but it of course springs back to centre upon release; meaning the brakes spring back to 50% application. I've fiddled with deadzones, X,Y saturations etc, but I can't make it useable.
  19. Shadows and reflections are looking great on the water's surface lately. Is it possible to get aircraft shadows cast onto the clouds themselves? I suspect it would be pretty tough to do. Higher on the priority list should be clouds that block player & AI sensors anyway.
  20. Hi Reflected, No Mods. Cold start. No time acceleration. I use the start-up procedure you recently did a tutorial about (NATOPS). Cheers.
  21. As you can see from the image, I am getting read the Training Rules by Bio (near waypoint 2) whilst my wingman is probably still in the O Club . His engines are running but neither he or his RIO are anywhere in sight. Played this mission last night and he showed up late and starting taxiing as I was holding short of runway 3R. Perhaps I upset them. This is an AI problem with ED's current build? This is the latest MT, Open Beta I'm talking about.
  22. That'll teach me for being impatient
  23. Thank you for updating this wonderful Campaign. With the new map it feels even more authentic and immersive. A WWII sim enthusiast's dream come true. Is this guy in the stationary jeep supposed to be there? Does he move away once a certain trigger is activated?
