  1. Of course they can... but will they, that is the question...
  2. This bug has been around for years and is not F-16 exclusive. Happens with all modules in DCS.
  3. Copy that, Sounds about right.
  4. What are you talking about? I KNOW it's not in the sim, I pointed that out in my question. And each stores config of the jet will have a specific G-limit, beyond which the pilot will have "overstressed" the pylon/store or whatever. At which point it will require an overstress inspection to see if anything has been damaged. I'm looking for that figure, not the point at damage actually occurs.
  5. Hey all, Question to those who know. Whats the normal G-limit when flying with the T-pod? I know it has no effect currently in the sim but I'd like to keep track of my flying and I'm wondering what the T-pod limit actually is. I've heard figures of 7.0G, but I dunno if thats legit? Thanks D
  6. Good work as always!
  7. You answered your own question on that one tbh. It’s too new and too incomplete right now.
  8. Are you doing stored heading or full alignment?
  9. Does your mission have at least one steerpoint/waypoint for the aircraft? Without at least 1 waypoint the CCRP line wont work.
  10. I’m not sure you’re correct. Currently if you look at steerpoint 1 with the TGP and then switch to steerpoint 2 the location of steerpoint 2 will change to where the TGP is currently looking, and not the other way around. Surely when selecting steerpoint 2 the TGP should move to look at that steerpoint? They know about Cursor Zero function and the current implementation is confirmed to be WIP and will be replaced with proper implementation once they have the SPI system working, which is one of the things they are working on now. Currently it’s a cludge to get it kinda working.
  11. It's not happening to anybody else. Are you SURE that you are aligning properly? Do a DCS Repair and remove all mods. Delete the FXO and Metashaders folder from your DCS saved games folder, Then try the following sequence. After the jet has started, rearming is complete and all the systems are turned on, put the INS align knob into Normal align. Then use down on the ICP dobber to highlight each field (Lat,Long and ALT) and confirm each field in turn with the ENTR button on the ICP. This must be done in the first couple of mins of the alignment. Once the alignment gets to about 8 mins / 06 precision then put the INS knob to NAV. And go test. Let us know how you get on.
  12. Yeah it can be done either way. I don't trim because thats how my brother was taught to fly the real aircraft and I like flying they approach while requiring a little back pressure on the stick, Allows for more precise placement of the FPM for me at least. Having the FSSB probably has something to do with that. YMMV
  13. I think you're overthinking it. The good book (the -1 Flight Manual) says break at the far end of the runway but says "Speedbrakes - As Required" for both the break and downwind. It does say that speedbrakes should be open by the time you get onto base leg but doesn't offer any concrete advice on the shape/size of the circuit. I guess it comes down to doing some of that Pilot S$£t.
  14. You need to practice formation flying before attempting to refuel. In order to fly formation on an aircraft you don't need to know its speed or anything else about it, all you need to do is use your eyeballs and react to hold your aircraft stationary compared to the aircraft you are formating on. The only time knowing airspeed is useful is during the intercept so you can approach the tanker without too much of an overtake, but once you're close enough you look out the window at the tanker and then you don't look back inside the cockpit until its done. During formation flying the stick and throttle are moving all the time... there is no such thing as "Neutral throttle" you will always be applying and removing power to hold position, sometimes very small amounts but if the throttle is staying in position for more than a second then you're doing it wrong. Changing power will change your altitude which will require a change in pitch etc etc. This takes a lot of practice. Just start by trying to hold position on the tankers wingtip.
  15. By last update I guess you meant 2.5.6? And not the one that came out today? If yes you mean the one that came out last week or so then yes everybody who flies in complex missions has seen a big drop in FPS. Apparently the CPU is getting hit a lot harder for some reason :(
  16. Ooh great to have somebody here who knows what they are talking about. If that’s the way it was, then that’s the way it should be imho. Note, we have a forum rule here about not posting any documents relating to aircraft and systems newer than 1980. But if you have anything you feel would be useful to prove your point you can PM the moderators (Nineline or BIGNEWY) privately and share it with them outside of a public environment.
  17. No problemo!
  18. Yes, this is accurate. Loading weapons onto an aircraft will move it, and you absolutely don't want to move it while doing an alignment. Rearm before or after aligning and not during. You said you double checked the coordinates but did you confirm them using the Enter button on the ICP? You need to dobber down through each line and confirm Lat, Long and Alt using the ENTR button to confirm each of them. This must be done within the first few mins of a the alignment. I do it as soon as I flick the switch to Norm Align.
  19. Have you deleted the fxo and metashaders2 folder in your DCS saved games folder?
  20. I’m not near my computer to watch you track but are you confirming your lat/long/alt on the ICP using Enter on each section at the start of the alignment?
  21. Correct you don’t have to type them in, if they are correct you can just confirm them.
  22. Cool thanks NL! Please remember to note that it’s not just the horizon line that is displaced, it’s the pitch ladder, FPM and all air-ground symbology including steerpoints, CCIP pipper and the TGP/CCRP target marker.
  23. Yeah its just the bloom effect of the white blowing out the text I think, I don't see the problem, but I'm pretty much always turning the screens way down at night.
  24. Here you go NL, Sorry it took a while.. I seem to get it any Cold/Dark situation, If I spawn the jet hot its fine. Everybody I fly with online is also getting the same bug in the same scenarios. HUD Shift F-16 NTTR.trk HUD Shift F-16 Cauc.trk
