  3. When the jet is off map, there's no terrain data available, and DTS can't be used for elevation data. Normally, next to your distance to waypoint, you have DTS. That indicates that DTS is the source of the elevation data. When offmap, ther will be XXXX [/url] Without elevation data, you will get CCIP invalid indications when trying to do gun runs, bombing,... because the computer is missing that elevation data. Now, we can overcome this, to switch to HOT elevation (manual entry) A JTAC, FAC,... would give you this information. In DCS, you also could just grab it from the F-10 map. You enter it, by using the DATA rocker on the UFC, to switch to manual entry with the SEL(ect) rocker. You either type the number on the scratchpad and ENT(er) to put it in, or use the DATA rocker to go up/down to the correct elevation. in the screenshot below, I've set it to 670ft With the elevation set, you see that weapon delivery is possible again
  4. Indicates that the aircraft is off the map that is loaded in the aircraft. (the amount of digital map data that can be loaded in the aircraft is limited. Note that you also will have to use HOT instead of DTS for elevation data, otherwise you'll get CCIP errors.

  6. Indeed, only AI aircraft show up on TAD/HMCS In MP, you only see other A-10’s (and the AWACS) This has been reported.
  7. I tried to replicate: hot jet. switch off EAC. EAC + MASTER CAUTION start to flash press MASTER CAUTION MASTER CAUTION stops flashing EAC goes to solid lighted tried the same with generators, boost bumps,... all same result: the advisory light stays on solid until problem is fixed.
  8. Did you maybe make HMCS PRO3 active (without knowing)? DMS right short a couple of times, and you're there. If you're not looking out of the window at the point, you don't see the switch happening. PRO3 does not contain the asterisk that indicates that HMCS is SOI. I started to enable that bit again as part of my startup, because I was also a couple of times puzzled.
  9. The MFD layout was changed per pilot feedback. MAV is now per default on the left MFD. So yeah, the manual needs adjustment.
  10. by (new) design, per pilot feedback.
  11. I can reproduce this in the freeflight instant action mission. Was that where you had it also? All other tests I did, were fine.
  12. That's an extended launcher on those pictures.

  14. It’s workaround in the sim, because we can’t walk outside with a screwdriver to the weapon to set the code. If you want a certain level of realism, you set the codes at mission starts, and never touch them again in flight. If a codes need to change (buddy lasing), you change the one in the TGP.

  19. AGM-65 AGM = Air to Ground Missile So, some might try to make use of it as an A/ A weapon, it is not intended to be used in such way.
  20. Indeed Elevation should come from the CCIP pipper calculations or the HOT setting, SPI generator doesn't matter. See screenshots below (taken with active pause on.) Steerpoint is a WP on top of mount Elbrus (elev 18000+), SPI generator is STPT. Target elevation is +/- 30 ft, so is the elevation below my aircraft. In this example, because the elevation below my aircraft matches the elevation of the target, it is a direct hit. If I would do the same in mountainous terrain, the bomb would go long/short depending on the elevation below my aircraft.
