  1. Naaa... I had the green monitor as well, that's not my video. I just threw it up there for nostalgia. Though I did have the apple II floppy drives by then. Though on the Ti994/a I was stuck with cassettes. Nice to see so many that started out in its infancy. I was just watching the ZX Spectrum flight sim and was cracking up that its was more advanced than sublogic yet not. We had such big imaginations back then to fill in the void. :)
  2. I grew up on the Ti994/a in Jr. High and moved up to a used apple II+ with 5 1/4" floppies in high school. 3 1/2" floppies didn't come out for awhile. But I always remember my friends dads TRS-80 II with 8 inch floppy. I envied those floppies. Never did get one. Of course my first flight sim was from SubLogic.
  3. On a serious note... you might want to look at an old thread on gorilla packages for a different sim that shall go nameless. http://www.combatsim.com/review.php?id=578 That should give you an idea of large package planning. I don't have any idea what else is out there. Unless you want to read dry military books on past campaigns that go over in excruciating detail the "OOB" (Order of Battle) and the Frag. Fragment of the OOB... If I remember correctly.
  4. Ahhh... the the smell of grammar nazi's everywhere.
  5. Twin Engine Bombers are what we need next as a module for WWII.
  6. Wouldn't surprise me at all. And yea it definitely surprised me when I got an earful. It also surprised me what the design issues were they were talking about.
  7. Disinformation is real. US does have a department for that in the AF. Don't know where else it might reside in gov. I do know from my own experience that every engineer I ever worked with that worked on the F35 said it was a piece of shit and was incompetently managed. I've never heard an engineer say that about any other program. Gripes yes, but not outright P.O.S. Most would always say how proud they were to work on program X and how cool X program was. This would always bring up great discussions about what it was like there. For the F35 program, they would lament you why it was a messed up design concept and how it was utterly failing to meet its requirements. I know from my own experience having worked on a couple programs... I've always been proud to have worked on them. I'm positive they will fix the airframe software issues but it is alarming how this program was conceived (One airframe to rule them all) and executed. Too many people that never flew watching too many movies, deciding how to make an airplane program. The F35 should of been two possibly three separate programs. Someone wanted their cake and to eat it too. ETA: Don't forget when reading this that I might of got a biased sample. But I am skeptical that I did because compromises are always made to make anything. When you ask an aircraft to do it all. It has to make an awful lot of compromises.
  8. If we get an F16C and a Mig29... and if they really are starting to plan out a Dynamic Campaign to start on once 2.5 is stable. I will have died and gone to heaven. The F16C is so exciting I don't know what to think... maybe...
  9. I believe you would want to post that in the Wish List thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=438
  10. Yes but does the tow guy go with the jet over the side? If so, I don't think it will be terribly popular.
  11. You need to only include the stuff after the equal sign. Like so "YOUTUBE]J5xDA5kxZ_4[/YOUTUBE"
  12. Thanks for the update. A4 is my all time fav aircraft. Can't wait to fly it in game. :)
  13. You only want to post the stuff after the equal sign in your "[YOUTUBE]" brackets. Which is this: kVfLa5ptRiw Oh and nice video.
  14. He quoted the whole link not the part after the =.
  15. I have to wonder how many times someone legitimately wanted to check my profile. I can't count how many times I've tried to click a thread and managed to accidentally click on someones name? I know Wags, BigNewy, Skatezilla and a few others probably have a huge number, but outside of their infamous status. What say you? How many visitors have you racked up? 4309 as of March 20, 2018. Doubt 1% were real. ETA: Of course having reise_caparzo on my list is pretty cool considering he makes awesome videos. Yo dude.
  16. It appears there is lots of music that is copyrighted so can't be played in the US.
  17. Nope... already a carrier in game. It might get tweaked but a DLC carrier will come soon after.
  18. My thoughts since day one has been that hardware drivers shouldn't be integrated with sales-ware. Nor should drivers be be a server service. Doing these things: A. Holds the user community hostage to the developer and if they go under. We might not be able to use our hardware in the future. B. Why would a hardware driver ever need to communicate to a client on the internet for any reason. It reeks of unethical business practice.
  19. Faux camera shake is also annoying for my old eyes. Can't wait for that affect to be passe.
  20. LOL! I've never seen that before... Epic!!!
  21. I think you might mean 2 months. I pre-ordered on Jan 12th 2018, which if memory serves me correctly is day one. When exactly do you think it went on pre-purchase sale?
  22. You are the man! :)
  23. Wow... impressive.
  24. I'm actually in your camp on this... though I'm starting to wonder. In the other thread on the F20... I stated that because it was proprietary its unlikely we would get enough data. I don't program sims... so have no idea what it would really take to do this and what is needed. But yea... not a lot of pilots to draw from. Regardless... I'm just gonna stay out of this from now on. Maybe we will see it.
