  1. Maybe you'll get lucky and Wags will do a startup video where there is no talking just a static external view of the jet starting up and then taxiing away.
  2. Lol... Rudel I was making a funny (being a smart ass) about the fact, that looked at the right/wrong way you just said it, so someone can say you said it. It was meant to get a smile out of you, maybe a snicker... on the best of days, possibly a chuckle. I doubt a laugh. I know sadly someone could take my out of context poor joke and make an out of context comment about your comment. :( Such is the interwebs.
  3. Oh great... now I'm not going to be able to sleep for at least a year. I for one am looking forward to what this will give us... as I see the CE2 as pushing the limits of DCS capability in the piston engine regime. And I believe it will be better than any other sim at aerobatics... I think we will be able to say yes this is a combat sim, but DCS ability to simulate flight is superior just look at our aerobatic capabilities. Oh, and just because:
  4. Awesome... thank you! :)
  5. Third photo down from the cover photo (Page 11)... What does it say??? BTW... I doubt this is Safe For Work. So if you are at work don't even think about it. :( http://unusual.info/2014/06/09/horrido-the-illustrated-manual-of-luftwaffe-pilots/
  6. Why I think it hasn't happened and probably wont happen is because of SIDS/STARS - ATC, MAPS too small... and a whole host of other issues. Anybody coming from a Civil Sim (which I fly when I get the IFR bug) will be use to these things. KLAX to KLAS is a short ass flight and NTTR doesn't have the coast as its been obliterated and there are no plans to increase the map per ED. CE2 is a test bed for all the effects props have on an AC in unusual attitude flight regimes. I believe it will fit nicely in with the DCS community because of the large following on Aerobatic servers. I can imagine practicing aerobatics will be of real interesting for a lot of us here. I know I'm going to buckle under and get this bird and try to learn some aerobatics the way its suppose to be done.
  7. Which means its most likely going to be a bit before it goes to steam. I don't think early access is going to be a couple months only. Though don't quote me on that.
  8. Just want to know when the development shots start coming out.
  9. Yea, I went looking for the skin in the user files area... no joy. I hope Sverre releases it. Its a beauty.
  10. LOL.... Great thread. I think I figured out you could break them around Christmas eve. :(
  11. Yes I couple days ago I noticed the F15 sounded awesome so I created a mini airshow with it. Then used LCTRL F11 to set myself up on the runway in the middle and then in VR watched the show and just listened. Was awesome!
  12. That is a beautiful skin.
  13. Can someone tell me why I can't get the KC130 to acknowledge my "ready pre contact" call with them over the radio. I've tried turning the radio to channel 8 which I've made to freq 251.00mHz. But its on Comm2. I've watched a video where a guy is just calling them up, but that doesn't seem to work for me. Even though each waypoint shows refuel as the action. I've got the KC130 at 15000 feet 270 kts in a race track over the ocean. No joy.

    Hardpoints?

I know this has been asked before I just can't remember the answer. And when I search through and filter for the answer I don't find it. Are we going to be able to remove the wing and center hardpoints at some point. Or is that a no go? Just curious.
  15. I only fly in VR so I can say the cockpit is cozy, and very nice inside, its neither cramped or big. Might even be a bit of a Goldilocks cockpit when it comes to size. Definitely not as big a cockpit as the F15C or A10. Cockpit lighting is amazing at night, and you have Great visibility. The caution and advisory panel can be a pain to read as the text is really small. Some other places text can be a pain to read, but overall its great.
  16. I think the problem is that Gen 1 & 2 on the AC Panel are for 115 and 36 volt AC systems on an AC Bus. The rectifiers on the DC Panel convert the AC to DC for the DC bus I imagine. So since the Standby Gen from the APU is a DC system on the DC panel. Did you activate it? Maybe that will help you. ETA: Also you might have to put the AC 115 and 36 systems back on the bat bus or MANual. Also its probably a bad idea to run Standby Gen and Rectifiers at the same time. I imagine in the real world this would overload the system.
  17. A10: 60% of the time it works every time F-18. Go straight really fast, if something gets in your way; turn
  18. Very cool, but what frequency is for TEOTWAWKI?
  19. Yea, what bothers me about this whole thing, is why a NAV-COM radio? What they should of done was emulate a GPS-400 instead. Since its really just being used as a GPS unit and isn't driving anything. We don't have a full compliment ATC system, so no SIDs/STARs or Area Control Centers, ATIS, Clearance Delivery, Ground, etc to take advantage of something like this. I fly IFR flights at night in thunderstorms in NTTR with the A10-C using just the HSI and VOR/TACAN/ILS all the time just for the fun of it. So while this peaked my interest, its so gimped and things are so uncertain I just said no... not unless things really change within the sim and its fully integrated with supporting instruments as it would be if you were bothering to buy something like this for an aircraft. Otherwise a hand-held GPS would of sufficed or a GPS-400.
  20. What the fork does this mean?
  21. I think this question should also be asked for the l-39.
  22. Guys, cameras don't reflect what your eyeballs see. You have high dynamic range mark 1 eyeballs that pick up way more light than a camera does. I don't ever recall seeing the ocean/lakes on any day in my life like what I'm seeing in DCS right now; flying or just high up in the hills. It seems to eat the reflected light. Err.. I mean it seems to not reflect the light.
