3080 & G1 or 1080 & G2 Life is so difficult ;-)

Have you tried to do a roomscale setup. I get much better (flawless) tracking even if I only use DCS seated. (If I calibrate for seated only, I get lots of tracking problems too.)

To slew one has to press and hold the target designation button. Is this the correct way? (It only slews if I press this button during slewing.) Edit: Yes, this is correct if realistic slew is selected in the menu options.

Intel i5-10600K vs Ryzen 7 3700X
Motomouse replied to Peter97's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
At least there is some real competition ongoing. Fun to watch and follow. -
What are controllers? The two plastic parts I left in the box and never touched? Is there any other software than DCS? ;-)

regarding the 1% FPS: https://www.techspot.com/review/1955-ryzen-3950x-vs-core-i9-9900ks-gaming/ The comparision is not so simple like you make it appear :-) -

I think there is no general answer. I prefer studio drivers for stability usually (They are more stable indeed). But on the current driver I had the better experience with the game ready driver.
-
-
Studio drivers are fine I use them all the time. But currently I am using the Game Ready driver. Reinstalling the drivers is easy.

Echte Piloten bevorzugen pures 100% Rendering ;-) Edit: 3600X & 1080Ti

[W.I.P]stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = false/true Bug?
Motomouse replied to Motomouse's topic in Bugs and Problems
Update: The different LOD for left and right eye was probably related to my defect HP Reverb (The HMD developed later also static white noise and blackouts until total breakdown). The replacement Reverb does not show this error. (Second possibility: It was fixed during an DCS update this month.) (Not talking about the render error of the distant clouds, this is real in all headsets and still present on my replacement Reverb) -

So at least you know it is probably not driver related. Good luck solving your problem. -

Moved from Steam to Standalone OB - How do I get VR to work?
Motomouse replied to Notso's topic in Virtual Reality
You need stand alone and Steam VR to run DCS on your HMD. Yes, all the SteamVR settings are used by DCS. (Motion smoothing does not work out of the box. I prefer 60hz mode and achieve 60 FPS at all times. Your milage may vary.) -
Stick with stable and let us mess with our ugly, but amazing, OB in our own safe space. ;-)

Intel i5-10600K vs Ryzen 7 3700X
Motomouse replied to Peter97's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you can not decide between Intel and AMD for DCS. Take Intel! AMD is the hipper processor and better overall. I am on a 3600X myself. But if you have to ask and DCS is your primal instinct, Intel! -
16 GB no crashes at all. Your crashes are probably related to the 5500 XT. AMD GPU drivers are not up to par yet. (I am on Ryzen myself and love AMD. But there are lots of software that does not play well with the AMD GPU drivers. (Games, AI software, ...). Perhaps you can test a used Nvidia card from a friend.

You can just install the older driver to test if the problem is really driver related. -
HP reverb Win10 2004 and Nvidia 451 issue
Motomouse replied to Revs's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My replacement Reverb works without problems again with windows 2004 and the 451 driver. No white pixel noise at all. So it is probably not a software issue, but a hardware issue on your side too. Good luck.
