You also have a solid altitude warning light, which indicates that one, or more, of these is true: No Bx8 designated A turn being > 135deg The sum of all turns are > 135deg The time from Bx8 to Bx9 is < 30s Looks like you've got Bx7 and Bx6 behind the aircraft, this is most likely why they do not release. So for you 2 and 3 would be hindering the release due to Bx7 being behind the aircraft. A good thing to do if you got the altitude warning light, is to check where the Bx6-9 waypoints are. Not that it does any difference in DCS I'm pretty sure, but ~M1.0 is a wee bit fast. Maximum speed for it is M0.92

Unfortunately the Viggens default ELINT data is generally very poor (as you've noticed). If you want actually useful data you probably want to use the Hound script, or something similar if you find any. Hound also works for pretty much all aircraft in DCS so it's a lot more available, and if it doesn't for one it's very easy to add it. Downside being you have to add it into the mission file, so it's not available in any mission as the default ELINT is.

Most likely you need to update this mod. The textures were updated some time ago such that the numbers on the different rollers are in the opposite order. Hence you see an 8 instead of a 1, a 9 instead of a 0, and so forth..

More accurate Apparat 27 - AJS37 RWR mod
MYSE1234 replied to MYSE1234's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Version 4.2 Added AN/FPS-117 As the radar’s operating frequency is outside the 2-25 GHz frequency range for App-27, the radar will not give any indications inside the aircraft Added AH-64 Same as for the radar above. The radar operates outside the RWR's frequency range, so the radar will not give any indications inside the aircraft -
Aerobraking doesn’t feel possible with the current flight model.

Thanks! I most certainly have done that. -
Yep, same link as previously.

Update to the imperial instrument modification. I had accidentally messed up the instrument lighting a little (some text not aligned properly between normal and illuminated texture) when I made the modded distance indicator. It should now be fixed This should not impact the base mod, only the one with imperial modifications.

It's been fixed, just not uploaded anywhere. AJS37 realistic suspention 110422.zip -
I 100% agree that it was a bit too cramped. I've updated it with a much more easier-to-read version. With this change it was also possible to add more lines to decrease the need for guessing; It will now show every NM from 0 up to 22. Even numbers are marked with a long line with every 4th numbered, starting with #2. All odd numbers are shown with the smaller lines.

Added a modification to the distance indicator to show the distance in NM. It's not as accurate as the km scale, but is close enough for everything you might need it for. Not that it's very difficult to estimate it already... Note that the window now says "x1" and "x10", instead of "KM" and "MIL". If you do not wish to use it, but still want to use the imperial altimeter, you can simply remove the texture named "LNS_VIG_CPT_UV05.dds" inside the folder. Or vice versa...

New optional addition to the mod: An imperial altimeter. Sort off.. I saw this in a SK37 on youtube and thought: "After all, why not? Why shouldn't I" The long arm's scale is x1000, and accurate up to 3000ft (~910m) The short arm's scale is x10000, and accurate up to 30000ft (~9100m) Download in OP

MYSE1234 replied to Hawkeye91's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Maybe not 100% due to the suspension, but it does seem to be a major factor. Everything gets easier with the mod above: Takeoff, landing.. Basically anything that has to to with the aircraft touching the ground is improved. -

I just "finished" this earlier today. Give it a spin and see what you think. Unfortunately it does not pass IC, so it's singleplayer only. Any feedback is very welcome. AJS37 realistic suspention.zip -
Seems to work well on my end. Have you checked the keybind?

More accurate Apparat 27 - AJS37 RWR mod
MYSE1234 replied to MYSE1234's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Version 4.1 Most SAM’s and aircraft now give a CW signal when the aircraft is locked Changed the sound for a single “hit” of a CW radar to be twice as long; Instead of a single “diddle” it’s now a “diddle-diddle” 19J6 - Tin Shield PRF to 800Hz, to more accurately model the long range mode Rapier Search PRF to 3800Hz F-86 Search and track to have a 0,1 rest period SA-15 Search PRF to 1400Hz MiG-17 More realistic scan MiG-21 More realistic scan -
Might want to have another look on that if you're on the OB version. @Streicher is correct in that you need to insert the cartridge.
-
Interesting. Do you have a track file available? I've not noticed any problem with any of that myself. Only problem I've seen with the countermeasure is it dropping all flares in just a few seconds.
-
In what way? If you don't mind.
-
That's funny, because when I checked them for a bug report they certainly weren't. Very few were working correctly. I don't know of any other module where you can fly the aircraft without any wings without problem. Including landing without any gear (or wings). I do have access to the HB bug tracker. I'm not going to start listing them all, or say how many reported bugs there are, but there's a few in there. Most of these bugs can be easily found reading the swedish manuals and comparing it to the DCS version. So the bug tracker is NOT needed to know these bugs.

Like 90% of the warnings on the left/right annonciation panels not being implemented, or the next to nonexistent damage model. There's more, a lot more...
-
It's still very much an early access aircraft, and will probably be for the foreseeable future. It should be in my mind anyway. There's a lot of things to be corrected/added before I'd consider moving it out of EA. They have been doing some very good progress since December last year however.

Del 1, Flik 9 - Sida 32-33.
-
Update or remove this mod. There was a change to the direction the rollers rotate, so new updated textures are required.
-
My RWR mod has been added to the base module since the large patch in December to be fair. It did however take someone modding the sounds for more realism instead of HB doing it off the bat..
