And?

leave gear down! Burn fuel so that external tanks are empty and internal fuel approx 2000lbs. Fuel inert does NOT protect external tanks but still flick that switch to inert, but Air refuel does depressurize external tanks so use this and land. Off course IRL you would try to get rid of any other store on board (especially bombs).

reported No Fuel, EPU kicks in, Attitude Director Indicator bugged
Bouli306 replied to Papa Saubär's topic in Bugs and Problems
As said in real life the INS gets screwed sometimes.. battery or not... Even without INS there are ways to land and find your way: Wingman, ATC, VFR etc. I just think it is not a very big deal. It is all about priorities set by the OEM. By the way, as far as I know the block modelled has a standby generator. So the chances of getting a running EPU are very slim. And running yourself out of fuel is just stupid. I am one of those people that thinks priority should be flight model, avionics and weapon system.. as the last part handling emergencies or damage. -
FCR in MRM mode doesnt turn on when startup routine used Ground Power
Bouli306 replied to pchRage's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I have a few years experience with the Viper and I never saw a pilot set up the jet on ground power only. Normally we would just startup the jet, set everything up and shut it down again. Although what you are doing should work it is not very realistic (at least in our Airforce). -

Yes, there will be a power cycle. The only thing is that it may or may not screw up INS alignment. -

Bouli306 replied to Papa Saubär's topic in Bugs and Problems
Even when the EPU is started before Gen failure it will produce a power cycle when the Gen fails. That power cycle might put off your INS and therefore all related indicators. Mind you in my experience with the F-16AM/BM it rarely happens. But than again it is not a F-16AM/BM that is simulated. -
Maybe they can, I never saw that IRL.

When set to automatic, radar altitude is displayed when above ground altitude is below 1,500 feet and barometric altitude when above (so above 1500feet AGL)

But it switches the FLCS to Landing gains. And there are other reasons to lower your flaps without lowering the landing gear. so not only when the handle does not lower.

In real life the director lights only function when you already have contact with the boom. Everything else is per sight picture or boom operator instructions.

No You should have two options: ALOW setting and LIS setting (Line in the Sky). You should be able to set both in the same page i believe.

Two settings: ALOW and LIS setting

But than you are throwing away safety because of delayed braking just by trying to 'safe' the brakes. If you are talking about taxi speed i am with you if you say keep the nose up below 100kts i do not agree and it is not according -1.

[REPORTED]External fuel transfer when AIR SOURCE in RAM
Bouli306 replied to F16FLCS-SME's topic in Bugs and Problems
The same goes for ECS knob in the OFFposition. -
Any aerobraking below 100kts will adversely affect landing rollout. So while it looks cool it does not make sense.
-
Why is this? never had an issue refueling with partially filled externals.

I think IRL the Jett switch is one you have to pull and activate...so no chance of flicking that switch by accident. And for your last question..yes that is the case for an F-16AM but I do not know if this is true for a Block 50. On th eleft console there is also a panel for ECM but I think it is not functional.
-
If it is a real RNLAF F-16 setup you do not have the CMDS panel in the cockpit....
-
Got the 3090 and the 8kx.....Steam setting at 100% and nothing special in Pitool....got a lot of stuff setup to the max in DCS. Still get only around 40 FPS...

So you are trying to prove something is a bug but am unable to back this up.

Is inflight alignment even incorporated already?

fixed [REPORTED]HYD PRESS B guage while engine OFF in flight
Bouli306 replied to F16FLCS-SME's topic in Bugs and Problems
Actually the indicators should not go to zero after shutting down the engine in flight. When the Main gen and stby gen go oflline the gages should be stuck from then. Because they run on AC power tehy will stop moving when teh power is off. "AC lies DC dies"
