Can we as a pilot change between flares and chaff . I want to assign a flare key and chaff key on my HOTAS .

I would go PCVR to a graphics card port it's the way to get best picture quality. G1 . G2. Pico 3 Pico 4 . With VD . Quest 3 . Even a rift s . You have a good system no problems flying on medium settings, also DCS is not optimized for VR. Even the top range systems struggle with stuttering and crashes . Dcs has come a long way but it's still got plenty of work to do .

Got mine on Monday very quick delivery. Amazing hardware the software is a bit over whelming, but some good videos on YouTube. Question can we use the throttle wheels x 2 on the left throttle as AXIS . They trigger as buttons . Any ideas. We can have upto 8 axis I think in the software. Thanks .

Shouldn't Petro close the scope when you start to bank away Automatically.

Thank you I'm glad I'm not the only one that have noticed that Petro isn't locking targets. Open flat desert and big targets and the cross hairs dance around . And plenty of misses even when in clear sight .

The Syria map uses a lot of Vram , drop your PD down to 1.0 , turn shadows off , have low terrain on in Syria . Medium textures . Check Vram usage . Also there is problems with lots of ground objects loading in and out with MT. Memory leak and texture popping. See jabbers video . YouTube.

These upscaling technologies in DCS are early stages , you are correct about the draw distances and spotting issues especially on a multiplayer server , I've reverted back to MSAA X2 . There is ghosting outside of the cockpit also in all moving parts including snow .

Great news love the WWII warbirds. Hellcat and the Corsair but what about the Axis airframes what's in the pipeline .

I used to get 36 FPS in VR and nice and smooth now im hitting 19 FPS this isn't good . Some thing not right with last patch . Is there a fix coming . Will VR get some attention please .

Have you tried saved view positions in the keybindings . Move your head position and save it . {save custom view} .

Fly backwards or upside down. That might fix it

Personally i would NOT upgrade any hardware until DCS sort its self out . Every one is chasing shadows . Just look at some of the systems in the community and their computers are top of the range , I mean well over $2500 worth of hardware and that's just the computer , And they too are having the same old problems as mid range systems , with Stutters , low frame rates, Ghosting , Crashes , Multiplayer poor performance . Hundreds of threads on multi-threading and memory leaks . Lets face it . The game is old and patched and patched . Needs a whole new Engine built from scratch . 15 years and still same old problems . 6 years to make one module , man this need a good kick in the Butt . Its turning into Star Citizen . But we love it , or do we .

Is pico 4 wired now . Yes VD is only wireless but I hear it is good . I've not taken the plunge yet on it as I'm wired to display port on my graphics card. But I feel DCS is a bit of a mess this month from latest patch . I've lost constant 36 fps in VR , the last patch has broken something in VR .

Since last patch DCS isn't right in VR , very sluggish. Playing catch up in frames , a upgrade to 32gb of ram will help you, but you won't see increase in frames. That GTX 1080 Ti will help . More vram the better in DCS . 2.9 . Also look at AMD cards . However DCS is pushing for Nivida .

OK so i tried single thread and its black dot Inside of the cockpit but when moved outside onto Command menu f10 ect , its goes white again . Very odd . MT is good with yellow mouse pointer inside cockpit . Hind .

I think this is in MT . This black Dot is no good .

Returning back to DCS after being away for two months . On my return updated DCS to latest open beta patch and boy something not right . My VR game play is in constant red spikes . I had good performance in single thread before going away. No charge to computer setup apart from Windows 11 updates. But I've lost total smoothness. The latest patch has broken some thing. Going to experiment with what I'm reading here ect . VR uses is the way to go . But DCS holding us back . Lol
